  1. They are two hobbyking nanotechs running in parallel to give 6000mah. It's one of the few pictures I didn't take. lol If it's vital I can go and take some, but it's always a pain taking those 4 bolts out of the bottom...!
  2. I fitted a couple of 3000mah lipo packs. As it was a roller it didn't come with any electronics at all.
  3. Yes I would say it is. Although, to be honest I didn't know there were any other versions or what the changes are. I've been out of RC for a while.
  4. I've decided to sell my Losi 5ive T. This truck has had very little running which should hopefully be evident from the pictures. I bought this truck as a roller, painted it and fitted the stuff needed to get it running. It's probably had no more than 20 minutes running around a car park gently to run the engine in and since then it's been a shelf queen. It's not even been run in anger since I fitted the Samba pipe. To all intents and purposes this is a new car. It's just not being used so I've decided to put the funds in to a totally different hobby. Everything was bought new for this project Kit is; Losi 5ive T roller Zenoah G290RC Samba Competition Pipe in raw finish Bartelone alloy clutch carrier (I think it was the Bartelone version anyway) 2 x Savox SV-0235 MG servos Outerwears pull start and filter covers It has a failsafe and remote kill switch fitted The crank case has had a wire mesh fitted and the shell has been reinforced with fibre and shoo goo. If you need any more info please just ask. I'm not sure what the going rate is for these is but I'm asking £650. This is less than half what I've paid for it and is less than you can buy a cheap copy for. I'd prefer cash on collection in the Wakefield area but PayPal is also acceptable. Not sure about posting it due to the size (although I do still have the box for it) but I'm willing to negotiate this with the buyer (at their cost). If desired, I also have a DX4S I could sell to the buyer for an addition £100. Thanks for looking. Craig.
  5. I've got a spy 700, the Y shaped one with 6 motors. Very nice bit of kit and is well made. They are very expensive but in a different league to the rest. Trouble is it doesn't get used. It's quite large and intimidating and there's a lot of money tied up in it and the numptys who fly in innapropriate places are giving the rest of us bad names so I don't bother anymore. I think the little spyder may be a better bet and I've had my eye on one.
  6. Absolutely amazing. I am both in awe and jealous of your skills, simply stunning.
  7. It's the same chassis, with a few extra bits of plastic hanging on the side. No more durable to be honest.
  8. Nige has responded to my email and has given some excellent advise. No surprise there though as his reputation is exceptional on the forums.
  9. Yes but it's not that easy. Ring Nige and he'll say get the Bart as he doesn't sell the BZM and the Samba is out of stock. Ring MMR and they'll say the BZM as they don't stock the Bart. It's difficult to decide which way to go as I've not had or seen any of them in the flesh. You tube can only give you an idea and then there is no reference for the sound or performance. It's too expensive to lay
  10. Cheers. I'm assuming FB is Facebook, which I do have an account on but haven't used it since setting it up. To be honest I can't be arsed with all that crap. I'll try and remember my log and pm him.
  11. FTI - did you ever manage to clean up the pipe, just interested to see how it came out?
  12. Just a little bump to see if anyone has had both the BZM micro pipe and the Bart Silenced. These two seem to be in the running at the moment. I've emailed both Nige and MMR yesterday to get some feedback on both but nothing as yet.
  13. Sorry to hijack. What weight oil do you run? And did you buy the normal or HD skid plates (just trying to decide on the difference)
  14. Cheers for that. It's just the noise that worries me not the performance. I guess I must be getting old as ear bleeding exhaust notes just annoy me now, otherwise I would have bought the losi pipe and be done with it.
  15. Yes please, that helps loads. So if it's still loud, I may be back on to the samba idea. The german shop seems to have them for 199 euros. I like the petrol cars and I like the noise they make, but they annoy the hell out of me if they're too loud never mind anyone else. Plus if I ever do make it to a track I don't want to be messing around changing pipes just so I can run it.
  16. And will probably be some rancid coloured plastic to boot.
  17. I was going to edit the title but unfortunately the ability to do so has escaped me somehow Well due to the nice weather on Saturday I decided it was time to run in the Losi. So off I went to a local industrial park with a gallon of fuel to find a nice flat place to run the engine in. I took the baja as well as that had recently had a big bore kit fitted so I thought I'd do them both. It was the first time the Zenoah in the 5T had been started. 2 slow pulls on the starter and it fired up and sat there purring after 2 proper pulls. I left it ticking over for a couple of minutes and then let it cool down (as per OBR's running in vids). 5 minutes later first pull and it was running, so off I went to do some slow driving around. 2 minutes in to my fun and no drive what so ever. Walked over to find the pinion rolling around inside. Bugger No worries, I needed to run the baja in as well so, fueled it up, put the choke on and pulled away. The engine coughed so choke off and pull, pull, pull, pull, pull, you get the idea. Choke on, pull, pull, cough. Choke off, pull, pull, pull, pull, starts...! Hoorah! Engine then revs high and quits. start again and after 20 pulls revs high then quits. Check fuel, check tubes to make sure fuel is getting through, check spark. It either won't start or starts then quits. At this point I was knackered, annoyed and swearing as I'd just completely wasted an hour of my time. Got home and fixed the pinion back on the losi. Acetone to clean the screw, red locktite this time and some silly faces then left it to cure. Baja - stripped the carb off and fitted my spare 813, started and ran okay. Bogged badly and didn't want to rev high but this was only in the drive way and far from tuned. Cleaned the 668 and put it back on. Same again, starts and then quits. I was going to chuck it in the bin, but decided a trip to Halfrauds was in order. Back home with a tin of carb cleaner in hand I set about the carb. Full strip and clean and it was back on the car and running again. Hoorah! So Saturday's running in session was a complete fail. Will try again at some point. Although the 2 minutes I had with the losi were very positive, it seems really planted and quicker than I was expecting for less than half throttle. So my mind turns to pipes. I was bidding on a Samba yesterday but was out bid in the end, I'm not fussed as it went higher than I was willing to spend. Always confuses me why people are willing to spend so much on a second hand pipe, even if it has been run only once (that does seem to happen a lot on the bay). I'd rather cough up the difference and buy new and the peace of mind that brings. So the others I've been looking at are the BZM Micro and the Bart XP silenced. I want a quiet pipe that doesn't make my ears bleed. Has anyone tried both of these and can provide some feedback. There's not much on the BZM and the bart is always about the non silenced. Also is there anywhere else you can buy the bart from other than Freeprawn, not that I have a problem with them as their service is excellent. It's just I'd rather not spend
  18. Hi Jim-Bob only just read this. Is Mr-m on here or the other forum? edit: Just tried on here and he cannot receive anymore messages. edit 2: Never mind, it would appear I was removed from the list. I didn't know they were available and would need to be paid for yet. Haven't been able to check the forum until today to find out I've been removed. A bit harsh really. edit 3: Mr-M just contacted me and I'm on the next list.
  19. Oh go on, put me down. Don't know why as I never run the bloody thing anyway, but it does look sweet.
  20. I'm interested in a set just for the hell of it, mine haven't broken yet. Would there be any problem with big bore shocks although I can't see how? Is this posted and when would the money be needed? I'm skint at the minute but if I say I want some I won't be backing out so no worries there.
  21. Or does he mean the turtle racing bump stop for the Losi 5Ive?
  22. I'd say he would be able to tackle it no trouble at all. They're not that hard, the instructions are clear, the parts are labeled and most 14 year old's are way in advance of their parents with techy stuff anyway.
  23. Me too. I can see a penta shell in my future, when my bank balance settles a bit.
  24. Thanks guys. It actually came out how I hoped. There's a couple of bits that I'm not happy with, the stickers mainly. I used water and a bit of washing up liquid as usual but there are some bubbles that refuse to go even after puncturing and repeated pressing to a point where they've wrinkled a bit. I think I went mad with the drywall tape and shoo goo. I used two big tubes and a load of tape. I weighs a ton but is as strong as hell. It was my first time trying it so I think I made a few mistakes along the way. Filters and pipe next and maybe dye the wheels black.
