thats just todays score, since i got back 2 hrs ago, sorry was this progressive ?

  2. When it bangs or blows up, then worry. have a look at exactly where they are but you'll get fine metal bits as there are a lot of metal gears, especially on its initial run. Check all screws are tight and give it a thorough once over after the first tank, checking all nuts, bolts , screws etc Check pinions and main diff gears to ensure theres no chunks or anything obvious but they are pretty solid IMO.
  3. what sort of money are they going for, part of me thinking of selling the blackout and a five and getting a fid with a massive engine in, although i do like the thought of the 5 buggy as a build from scratch hhhmmmmmm
  4. lovely noise, what donkeys in it mark
  5. give up, the're great cars, especially if you dont have to stand the service and running costs, only really come alive on a country road though, otherwise you may as well be driving a modeo or insignia if you just go up and down the motorway, i've had 8 all different models. 330 donkey has plenty of torque, just watch out in the wet on roundabouts though need to have a bit of respect for the drivetrain and power delivery
  6. lucky boy at 1900.00 looks great fun
  7. excellent, not cheap are they ! Has anyone bought one of these, i assume a lot of the standard 5ive T parts will fit
  8. Just looking for a new project and really enjoyed the baja build from scratch. I've a losi 5ive t and a maverick blackout but wondered if there is any other options, as i cant seem to find anything except rollers ? any suggestion ??
  9. see if they have an electric one
  10. Did anyone buy a Krakken after all the hype ?

    1. Carpmart

seems odd that after all the hype, but yet not one of the forum users have had a look.

RC modelz seems to have brought the FID to us with a few bobbing up and about.

just cant seem to find any info with the 2 latest toys up against each other.

maybe we should approach FID and Krakken and ask them for 1 off each so we can compare the stock vehicles and give an open and honest review against each other, as they are the only 1/5th which have a different rear axle than any other.

if you too get messed around by these shops, what chance to us other mere mortals have. between the 2 of you how many cars have you bought over the years, and its OK i wont tell your wives.

  12. as long as it flies good, i'd stick it on Ebay 0.99, you may be surprised what you get, i sold a couple which i couldnt fly, didnt know if it was me being rubbish and not knowing how to set them up, but you should get £20.00 and postage is a couple of quid. its a nice little heli, if its OK
  13. wheres the little tike car on a five, thats all i wanted to see
  14. see the oldham quarry bash, excellent area for a bit of everything especially a five
  15. Not for me, i'd go for a new KM, great way to learn aswell, not too mad at first get used to it, new pipe, quicker.... and im sure the stock will be a great buzz for a while, so dont stress, you can experience the joys of running in an engine, but its brand new.
  16. Post the spec on it fella, as a brand new one is £ 350.00 and it depends what engine is in it, how old it is etc as there are some great bargains available if you know what you looking at, there are many on here which can help. Engine sounds to be running quite high as if the idle is screwed in, all depends on what hes asking for it tbh watch some other vids on you tube of bajas and listen to the engine, note, not the RC 46CC monsters just a stock 26CY or 29 KM. i run a stock 26cc CY with a BZM micro side pipe and mine ticks over a treat. Just dont get you big kid blinkers on and just see car, big, noisy fast... like we have all done, as if the engines pops it could be £ 100.00 to replace, making the brand new one seem a better option.
  17. i have a HPI baja built from scratch, brilliant and strong, never had a km although the forum indicates that theres not much difference, or a few hop ups wont fix. Not a fan of the km engine though as a couple which i had where a bit rubbish, they were used, and maybe just a little unlucky. From reading these forums for several years about the bajas, pound for pond the km appears to be a good buy, just upgrade when things break. Cant really see how faster and stronger it will be out of the box, as unless someone has bought both models from scratch and run them equally, with the same engines and pipes on, its not really a direct comparison. Either way fella much fun is to be had whichever way you go
  18. Blimey charlie, how do you decide which ones to run, and you must have an underground bunker to house this lot, let alone work on them. Brilliant to see all different vehicles. You must have a favourite one................
  19. Yes i've found that out, not a lot about out there. i thought the blackout was quite popular, been reading old threads from 2011
  20. Picked up a second hand Blackout MT. it had a side pipe on which meant a good chunk of the bodyshell has been carved out to make the exhaust fit. I dont run it with the MT wheels as they're so heavy and just replaced the servo. Looking to put an ST shell on it as a set of the wheels & tyres came with the package. What exhausts are you running and has anyone got a ST shell they would like to sell, cheapest i've found is £ 50- £60. Curious if the ST shell will need carving out like the MT shell hence the option to replace the exhaust. Any suggestions or images would really be appreciated please fellas Thanks
  21. Hoss carried out extensive testing with very informative information, a really positive review for the DH, i've just been curious to what the Krakken actually performs like as there doesn't seem to be many on here with one to compare, still looking for a direct comparison review of the 2 cars, but found the above quite interesting to see what donkeys they have and how they perform, all it really shows is some really expensive toys and that it doesn;t matter how big the engine is, if you cant drive !!! Demonstrated perfectly in the video.:)
