  1. Just one last thing. Might be an idea to wait until you get the Velcro before sticking anymore tape on it. It seems that every time you get someone mentioning tape you add more and take loads of pictures! I swear you are trying to give someone a heart attack. LMAO Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  2. Keep going Arogon! The others give good advice, but it is a hobby and your project. It would be very boring if everyone just copied everyone else's ideas/cars. Just a thought, but might it not be an idea to rotate the ESC 180 degrees, then you could shorten your wires as they would be nearer the motor/batteries. Is the motor up to taking the lipo setup your expecting to use?
  3. My brushless Carnage starting making gear crunching squeals today when jumping and doing tight turns. Is this the slip disc or do I have a problem? My pinion and spur seem to be taking a hammering when it happens. Seems to be happening more with my don than me. The other strange thing is that he has managed to bend one of his CVD today without any major hits? 4. New spur gear assembly fitted. :-) Bought a descent HPi Hex drive and had no problems undoing screws. Note to self, don't buy cheap tools. Result. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  5. Thanks. Got another question. I need to change my spur gear assembly. How do I release it from the rear diff? Do I need to open up the diff housing? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  6. Can someone tell me what size the wheel nuts are on a Carnage. I'm sat at work about to order some tools and I can't remember the size. Thanks, Richard Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  7. Been out for a bash today with my Carnage and have managed to strip my spur gear!!! Has this happened to anyone else? Is it because my slip clutch was too tight? Richard S GT2 VE Speed project (under construction) FTX Carnage (Brushless)
  8. Will do. I haven't set the body height yet. Richard S GT2 VE Speed project (under construction) FTX Carnage (Brushless)
  9. You're need to be careful with those batteries! They seem a bit precarious on the edge. Using a 1/10 does restrict your space. It will look loads better once you have shortened the wires. What shell are you using? Good luck with your test run. Any chance of a video? Richard S GT2 VE Speed project (under construction) FTX Carnage (Brushless)
  10. I used the following: http://m.staples.co.uk/pens-tape-desk-supplies/markers/permanent/magnum-permanent-markers?prefix=WW Feels like it is going to last, but will have to wait and see. Probably not going to be bashed as much as a buggy! Richard S GT2 VE Speed project (under construction) FTX Carnage (Brushless)
  11. Thanks. Not yet. Haven't got round to looking into that yet. Recommendations? Richard S GT2 VE Speed project (under construction) FTX Carnage (Brushless)
  12. What to do about the white wheels! I was hoping that the carbon stickers would work, but unfortunately they would not stay stuck and I didn't hold out much hope that they would last long. I have obviously read loads of threads about painting and dying, boiling and freezing. The problem for me was that I did not want to remove the tires. I then read an entry in a thread from someone suggesting using a permanent marker. Genius! I bought a heavy duty permanent marker from Staples and here is the result. They may not be the prettiest of looking wheels, but they will hopefully see me past the ton. :-) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  13. Aragon I'm going to try the GRPs and see how they go. Foams are always an option. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  14. Wheels have arrived super fast from GRP. Need to now dress them with a decal to make them black. Not the prettiest of wheels, but supposedly they are the business for speed runs. I have to say that the rubber feels quality and sticky. Much better feel than the original Kyosho tyres. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  15. As always totally inspiring!!! Richard S GT2 VE Speed project (under construction) FTX Carnage (Brushless)
