Gonna order the Traxxas 4m Ford F-150 end of month, as im waiting on a bodyshell to come in stock, do i get Brown, Blue or Black, will be removing the roll bar as i dont think it looks right, also i would like to remove the front super white lights and go with warm white but i gue ss i wont be able to do that
If the LEDs in the F150 are similar to the Defender its a doddle (if you can solder). Bought plenty of 12v 3 and 5mm LEDs to replace the stock ones on most of my rigs

Might be tempted to perform this mod, what spec LED`s did you use and did you join rear light wires into front wires
LEDs are red 3mm 12v from ebay - only a few quid for 5
I joined the 2 rear LEDs together and ran to the front to join front LED supply

where did you get that shell? And what scale is it? It looks amazing and I own a lr3 and wanted to make a rc version.
really hope you can help.
thanks in advance Gaz
Hi Gaz
The shell is from a New Bright Discovery RC car, few pop up on ebay from time to time.
Chucked the 'toy' chassis and used the shell on a CC01 chassis.
Its been painted yellow since these pics but wasn't that happy with it and got another shell few months ago.
Let me know if its of any interest if you can't source one and I'll root it out loft

Wow, thats a beauty!!
are you going to do a running video for it mate??
14 hours ago, wolfie1 said:I really hope there is 1 too, really want to watch it unfold pop up lift something slew round drop it and then fold up again
Not sure about a running video.
The kit isn't the same quality as true Lego and motor power/gearing gives limited movement.
Since everything has been put together, the boom extending and slewing doesn't work but it's something I may try to remedy

Would love to see some pics of your wooden obstacles and outdoor track,
I’ve been in the building a outdoor track for a while now, we changed it from being a 10 gate 1/10th course to a 1/18 adventure playground but my health has declined somewhat this year so unable to do much, using mostly stone and some kerb edges, old fashioned ridge caps even got some waste drain pipe off cuts to make a couple of tunnels, i will try to get a picture of it so far.
as for the indoor folding course, its still in my head at the moment but i might sketch it out if possible and take a pic.
Yeah that would be the main worry, i could make each obstacle difficult to overcome, finishing the track with 0 points would be a perfect drive, that should help keep interest for a bit longer, could always try to be able to move the some of the obstacles moveable to be able to create more tracks, that maybe the way to go but i would definitely need my thinking cap, cup of tea and a pencil/paper lol. Doable though…..
i will get the original outer bit down on a drawing, post that then have a look at what obstacles i can make with what ive got or can get.
@Gaz! here's an idea for indoor course, can be arranged and put away easily.
Also done one for outside on an old table - will take some pics when I get home

Been thinking about another technic build for a while and nothing much has caught my eye of late.
Feb22 I was looking at either the Liebherr face shovel or Cat D11, earthmoving and plant is my job and the dozer won. Still look at the Liebherr and whilst browsing ebay I spotted and inadvertently won this! the kit and not just the book!!
Was 90% built but I've since dismantled to a million pieces and commenced complete rebuild.... should keep me occupied for a bit!!!!! 👍
