  1. Won't be able to make it this weekend as I'll be in work.
  2. Yesterdays run with some hobbyking b grade lipos went well until the steering lost response a few times, I reckon it was the servo, so I've swapped it for an alturn metal gear unit I had in my spares box. Also fitted an alloy horn for some bling. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  3. Shock sock and 6mm nylon guide wires fitted. The guide wires flex better and don't dig into the dirt giving a smoother turn. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  4. Next up is a pair of nylon guide wires and a shock sock Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  5. Wheelie bar sorted and thoroughly crash tested. Made from 12mm 6/6 nylon rod, holes drilled and counterbored for the original screws. Flats milled on one side to locate on the frame and an airplane tail wheel mounted on a 3mm axle. In testing i find it has enough flex without bending permanently. Also the wheel stops it digging in and bending like the original does. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  6. Having had my sr4 for a week and found a few niggles I've made some mods. The first is the rear shock, it started leaking after the second run, so I ordered a pair of traxxas revo shocks with the blue mark springs. The revo shock is 4mm longer than standard bit will fit the standard mountings, I made some alloy spacers for the top mount though. Next was the steering, it really needed a damper. I had an old hpi mt2 shock in my spares box so removed the spring and mounted it above the servo with a new m3 tapped hole. The other end is attached to a new collar on the end of the steering push rod, seems to work very well and clears the bodywork too. New hole required Neutral steering position Full right lock Full left lock Next project is a better wheelie bar Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  7. I'm in ashton but work in hyde at kerrys, up for a bash Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  8. The e gyro works great, I turned mine down from 12k to 10k rpm and it's stable enough to drive at walking pace but still handles at high speed. I'd definitely have another, if my son gets the hang of it I might just do that Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  9. My sr4 arrived on tuesday, love it but there are issues to address. The wheelie bar bent on the first run and split the bodywork, a replacement reinforced steel bar faired no better so the next step is to make one from 6/6 nylon rods. Also the rear shock is crap, I have a revo shock with blue spring on the way. Lastly the front fork damper shaft are prone to breaking off, although it's not happened to me yet, there's some 4mm silver steel ready to thread and harden for this. Lastly I found the zippy 2s 5000mah 20c hardcase lipo from hobbyking uk fit perfectly. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  10. Anyone going this weekend ? I'm on 12 hour nights but might wander up on saturday or sunday afternoon after some sleep ! Iain
  11. Hi, been lurking on here for a while and would like to find out where the local bashers go. I'm in Ashton-under-Lyne and have an FG monster/baja 26cc 2wd Iain
  12. The b6 is a very good charger, I use it for lipo, life and nimh cells.
  13. Rebuilt both diffs on my savage xl with bulletproof gears and alloy casings. Also installed my Jr receiver so i can use my stick type tranny that i have for planes and heli's. Really don't get on with the trigger type transmitters.
