  1. I'll try remember tomorrow, will be fitting all these new parts and giving it a good clean so will get some snaps for you
  2. Yeah man hurry up and get down No 4x4's at all apart from the second to last sunday of the month! Will work on my gangster poses for next time.
  3. Thanks bud, Just said, slindon over in west sussex!
  4. never even heard or robinson racing? Maybe should have just got for a 13t one of those. The HPI ones are a bit soft for my liking. will report back with any findings
  5. Slindon/Arundel to be precise. Over by Bognor regis basically. Get involved
  6. Latest damage report, I've had another pinion go. That's my fourth HPI 13tooth now so I'm trying the hardened integy one to see how that does. Also managed to wear out a central drive cup at the front bulk head. Hardly surprising after 7 months bashing that it's now starting to catch upon rotation. I've ordered some of the upgraded hardened ones from HPI as they're a couple of quid more and supposed to be much better at holding up to the wear. Also ordered Integy castor blocks all round to go with the hubs as I've been so impressed with those. I think that'll be the lot for upgrades though. I can rest assured the only cost now will be keeping it rolling!
  7. Thanks Noj! It really is just the best place to bash. Miles of terrain to conquer If you're ever in west sussex and fancy a bash ... you know who to message!
  8. What are you waiting for DreXel!? That would be awesome! It does come with sway bars unless yours are just different strength?
  9. Thanks bro I was torn between TNT and highway to hell. Maybe more ACDC next time Thanks man Really couldn't recommend one enough! What kind of upgrades have you got on the savage?
  10. FYI guys, just did a new video of the Super today over in the RC vids section
  11. I have pretty good throttle control too, but this spins out if the wind blows the trigger! lol. It's still early days of owner ship though, maybe the set up isn't quite right but the direct drive certainly makes it interesting with all that torque!
  12. The 5b does have a bit more power, certainly. But it's way too much for itself. My friend has actually turned his end point on the throttle down. The 5sc is certainly more agile over the lumps and bumps but I think it's perfectly powered. It's the slipper clutch and centre diff that rob it of that vicious bite that the 5b has. What motor are you currently running in your 5b then? I can confirm the 2028 is awesome ... but you'll need a castle link to tame the torque with some work on the acceleration line!
  13. Thanks bud Thanks man! Every corner and every jump feels like a money shot in these! Best bash spot ever and thanks bud. Yes the 5B is a mates, it's standard other than running proline bow ties at the rear. It was on 8s and yes the super 5 was running 6s. Well, I wouldn't want to race a super 5 in a 5b lets put it that way. I think it's easy to look like a pro with the super and it's easy to look a very average driver in the 5b. It has so much torque it will often spin out on cornering, obviously the ground is hard and the tyre choice isn't perfect but I honestly expect more grip that it has. As a bit of fun though, getting a corner right in a 5b would make the grinch smile. Thanks Jack! Thanks mate! It really does jump great, minimal parachute effect. I've only noticed it once or twice in the few thousand jumps I've put it through and even that was in high gusts of wind and still landed it fine, just slightly more hang time! Of course AC DC Thanks bro appreciate the feed back! I don't actually own a monster truck ...
  14. Hey guys, So it's been a while since I got a video put together so I headed out last night with the mission to film and edit this video in one evening. It's been a long time coming but can finally introduce a 5B Flux to the freaks! Enjoy. I have tried to keep the gangster poses to an all time low so hopefully this shouldn't offend too many folks.
  15. I heard they lost the licensing!? I'm about sick of my Wr8 now. Always something up with it. all the upgrades in the world won't stop bearings popping in your diffs. Considering selling mine with every hop up available on it.
  16. The super actually has a slipper clutch too! I think i'll try the 500k weight to thicken things up a bit and go from there. Thanks for the tip!
  17. Hey guys. I've been considering locking the central differential in my super 5 recently to give it a bit more launch/punch and to stop so much front balooning of tyres. I'm aware of ways to do this with araldite or blue tac but was wondering on others experiences with this sort of thing? Major draw backs? I'm currently running 100k diff oil in there and have considered stepping up to 500k. Would the difference be that noticeable with regards to 4 wheel drive when the front wheels lift? I wouldn't resort to completely locking with araldite in case I change my mind so blue tac is looking the more likely option with regards to completely locking out. Any in sight is appreciated guys!
  18. All the information is there if you take a few minutes to read it, Sure I pm'd you too on here and facebook? A video takes something more like a few evenings but yes, I'm the slack one
  19. Steering bell crank, the phillips head screws in there can be loose from factory so keep an eye on those. I also had to cut a small amount of the battery tray cover away to allow my 8gauge wires out from my lipos. Short of that, you're set buddy. Let us know what you think when you run it!
