  1. Started the paint job at last. Not a perfect job, but not bad for my second ever shell. This one is sat over the chassis, though not fitted yet.
  2. Not had time to look at this for a while, but the E30 body has arrived. I've mocked up a paint job. What do you think? I'll need to order some white paint, don't have any!
  3. Sweet I'll give those a look Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

  5. If I can find one suitably near me then yeh, hopefully. Yes it's the hpi E30, and I have the stealth mounts ready and waiting. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  6. Yeh I have a railing RX with a built in gyro. Not the best, but it's there. I'll turn it up as you suggest. Over decided to go with a BMW E30 shell to start with. Should arrive today hopefully. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  7. She lives! Next job, make her look pretty. Then clear out some space in the garage. Finally, learn the hell how to drift... Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  8. Finished the chassis (with the hubs the right way around) and got the electrics installed. Hobbywing xerun xr10. Threw some old wheels/tyres on for now and I've got some xt60 connectors arriving tomorrow so I'll be able to try it out. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  9. The front ones? I thought something seemed funny. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  10. Got my first real drift chassis. Yokomo YD2E. Started building it today. Next stage is assembling the shocks which I'll hopefully do tomorrow. Not sure what body to go with yet. I quite like the 1966 Mustang coupe if they ever get stock anywhere. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  11. Well I can't see anything obviously wrong. I took the opportunity to realign the servo horn so it points straight when at neutral and no trim. However what I did do is to excessively adjust the front left coilover spring to stiffen up that corner and it stopped the issue. So now my left is set massively different to my right. I'm guessing that proves it's a shock issue, or does it?... Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  12. The new kingpin arrived today, so I'm back on AWD. I also rebuilt the front shocks with new oil & grease, thinking that the front left was sticky, but I still have the same issue: If I drive the car on flat ground, turning left, the body stays relatively level. If I turn right, the front left corner drops so far that the wheel rubs on the body and it is very slow to return to level when I let go, if at all. Not leveling it did sound like it should be a sticky shock, but judging by the other side, it shouldn't be dropping that far down at all while just turning. Not sure if this video shows the problem clearly enough: Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  13. What he said ^ Thank you anyway though [emoji846] Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  14. Not sure what you mean by that. By flipping the C hubs, the stops are on the rear. The servo reach isn't far enough for the knuckle (is that the right bit?) to come close to the axle. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  15. Had a go on the ramp today. Felt a lot harder than it should have. Then I noticed I only had 3wd. Seems when my wheel came off the other day I lost the king pin. I replaced it with a bit of piano wire, but it didn't do the job very well. Also the front left shock is sticky, so that'll need a rebuild. I swapped out the RX for my other remote and flipped the C hubs. Maxed out the steering endpoints and the steering has definitely improved a bit. I think that shock is causing me issues though. So I've ordered a hex hub set to replace the king pin, 35wt oil and o ring grease. Was tempted with aluminium shocks, but they weren't in stock. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
