  1. Ok dad So the RC car did what?? show me a tube vid of these so called NiCAD's exploding. You can't because its like you all talk, giving people false *****. Is there a care sheet on NiCAD's yes 1 fully charge before use and have fun, I under stand lipo are better in so many ways. I gave a good valid point to say they not safe, so read the simple English before you pipe the **** down moron. Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  2. To the OP follow this and be SAFE http://www.rchelisite.com/lipo_battery_charging_and_safety_guide.php
  3. Don't need to try ive given vids, have you ever flown a heli thats been flown hard 3D. The lipo gets that hot you can't touch it, it's not just charging you have to watch. Why did the rc car just puff smoke, many reasons but it was toasty warm yes. You clearly know how to keep a lipo, but you saying there just as safe in your other post is bull. Their only safe if respected as i pointed out, then got jumped on, you're talking or informing somebody with no or limited info regarding lipo's. All i was doing is pointing out that their not as safe as you was making out, and proved this time and time again.
  4. Well telling people there save is utter bull, a simple over charge is easy done if your a noob. A simple crash in the right situation and many other facts that make these not SAVE. Find me a vid to say other bats exploded, set a fire. Am not reading crap about how to treat them i no, ive had heli and planes with them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=773yPtIsl-0 But to the OP again their safe lol and they just puff abit of smoke yeah cause they do.
  5. Ho my god there perfectly safe now they set a fire, ok they may not blow up. But set a fire at a rapid rate, YouTube lipo fires. You need to respect a lipo, more then the other batts stated. Meaning you need to have an under standing of them before you go and buy or charge them. You don't just buy charge and away you go. Buy as said there's NO DANGER Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  6. Basically they are a bomb waiting to go off, and are a lot more dangerous then NiCAD's and NiNH. Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  7. I have a DX2E and the range is spot on, can't fault it at all. Easy gets to the bottom of my garden with out any range problems and I have a big garden. But no stay away its crap, any lose of signal and the kill switch kicks in. Evan if I turn my back it cuts out, need to upgrade this ASAP. Had a DX7 for the helis and no probs very good radio, and a DX6 for the plane again not bad. Not a patch on the 7 but good for the money. My bro uses a DX8 for his baja and no probs, but also uses this for his heli and plane. I think the cheaper spectrum you get the worse they are, and a DX2 is entry level. 8. I had a macs at Egypt was at holiday village Red Sea, macs was just over the road. Went on the last day only because our flight time ment no all inclusive, it was a few yrs back now but if memory serves the macs was bigger and cheaper then back here in the uk. Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  9. Printers can be had brand new for peanuts these days mate Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  10. Try bow ties or badlands I had mx's an was pants to say the least, I gave them my bro after just a few mins use. He now as bow ties and I have badlands, I did a back to back test and tested bow ties and there better than my badlands. So now am going to fit some studs to see if I can get some use out of them, but what a waste mx's was. The only thing I have broke on my HPI baja is 2 drive shaft pins, 2 spurs it was almost brand new. Could not be leave it was braking tbh, bought HPI as I dint want a clone in the end. But spent a few hundred quid on it just because I can. I have red all pages of this thread and its seems like his not done to bad, most of his broken parts are from pilot error, but that's said how many parts would brake if it want through our daft stunts. My pins and spurs broke because i drive flat out over bumps and jumps, had to fit 9mm shaft with replaceable pins, and an uprated spur gear. Now all seems fine, but only used for 2 maybe 2 and half gallons. Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  11. Yep did it about 16:00, cheers for the heads up I just don't need oat now lol Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  12. Well it will also depend how good your throttle brake servo is, not sure how good mine is, it's a savox 0252. Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  13. My brake mod was remove the rear spring from the back of the brakes, it's about an inch long. Replace with fuel tube, then I used that spring and cut little tinny springs maybe 2 coils long, I then put these inbetween the pads so they don't rub and bind. Hope the pic give a better description. . Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  14. Use them air cans at work, not really very powerful tbh. Ok at very close range like in point blank, but as you no there for keyboards. Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  15. Have you done the brake mod, mine lock up no probs. Its had 10 tanks through it now and still as good as new, all stock SS parts. Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  16. Just on his reply back I'd stay away, does he not no what his selling flippin tools these days. Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  17. Lol am thinking transmitter ever time you say TX, so thought why you say TX went up scoobies ass lol. Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  18. Ho TX is transmitter and RX is receiver RX life in the car. After I stopped laughing at your reply, reread and noticed you said TX a few times (TX brakes are crap) or have I missed some thing again. Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  19. Ok Soz bit harsh in my response, but I like your counter reply, quality. I'm a bit sick of doing 12's to be fare, and means am spending to much time reading post. I can remember kids been bad and having no sleep like yesterday, was not fun at all. Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  20. Well now the best thing you can do is put the bats in turn on tx then car, once it as power jump on it, kick the living crap out of it. Now try and start the car, if it still works eat some weetabix, and revert back to giving it a good kickin until its dead, this way it cuts the middle man out and saves you a shed load of money and hassle. Now on a more serous note please read all post again, mine 2, 6, 14 gives all the advise needed to get you running plus what others have said. Seems we are informing you and you not taking anything in, and I don't like wasting my time. Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  21. I think just buying parts will work out more expensive, some dude was selling a load of stock parts on eBay and wanted the earth for them. Here is the item number 121004610189 Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  22. The wife got me an iPhone 4 from my kids for fathers days last yr, upgrade from the 3GS. Its on Vodafone and its crap as in Vodafone are crap plus a rip off so count me out of these deals. Sent from the Iphone via talktapa
  23. Tbh what you want to do is buy some proper hex keys that are up to the job, saves a lot of ball ache in the long run. I have only ever bought one set, 7 plus yrs ago, used for nitro, petrol cars and helis, and planes, and now back onto petrol cars. They don't Evan make the ones I have no more but I have 1.5 2 2.5 3.5mm Coded yellow, red, blue and green. Best tools I every bought for all RC's, and tbh they still look as new to this day.
