Try Probolt, they stock a very wide range of sizes although a little pricey. www.probolt.com Aid
  2. Hi All, was wondering if anyone has fitted a different body shell to their Pulse. I am liking the cab forward design at present. HPI say that none of their range of shells for other models will fit due to the width of the Pulse. Does anyone have experinece of changing shells and if any come up wider/larger than others. cheers aid
  3. Hi, Just wondering if anyone could recommend a rechargeable screwdriver for working on my nitro buggy, I think it would save a lot of time when stripping/rebuilding. Is adjustable torque a useful/necessary function? cheers Aid
  4. I used optifuel RTR 25% during break in and the early running/ tuning stages. It is very smokey so tune more on engine temp than exhaust smoke trail. When stock glow plug failed just after break I swapped out for an OS8 plug and it is still going strong. Just bought some Byrons Race 25% so I am going to retune for this when I get chance.
  5. I bought a similar one earlier in the year for my Pulse but it didn't seem to fit
  6. Hi I bought one last summer, it is a great rc kit, loads of fun and fast, nothing broken yet. Make sure you give the car the once over with the hex driver and threadlock before running it. I had issues with some fixings working loose that should have been threadlocked from factory but were not, especially the wheel hex securing pins. Spares are easy to get hold of too especially on ebay. HPI also offer fantastic warranty support also.
  7. who has put a stop to nitro/petrol?
  8. Hi I run my Pulse with an OS8 plug and 25% Optifuel RTR. I must say that I have tuned it more on Temp to run at about 210-220 degrees F as this fuel is extremely smokey and not an accurate way of determine correct mixture.
  9. Thanks for that RC4ever, can anyone rock up and drive their car on the track or do they have to be club members?
  10. Hi Chaps, where is the Faintlop RC track?
  11. Does anyone have any experience of these? Are they worth bothering with? I have seen the RPC kit available for my HPI Pulse and was wondering how togh they are, do they round off easily etc cheers Aid
  12. have you tried a new glow plug, my hpi pulse did exactly the same after the break in and sixth/seventh tank. New plug sorted the problem
  13. Hi I run an OS8 in my Pulse and run 25% optifuel, has lasted ages after replacing the original one supplied with the car.
  14. Check position of the pull start handle when the shell is removed. May be too close/touching the exhaust manifiold, when the shell is put on it positions the pull start inwards slightly away form the manifold.Had a similar melted pulls start with my HPI.
  15. Make sure the throttle linkage to servo horn screw is not too tight. Had this on mine and would stop the throttle returning to idle.
