  1. Hi sorry just sold it. I ended up putting it on eBay and it went in an hour.
  2. Oh assuming it is collected, there’s also about 4litres of Nitro fuel included. If someone really really wants it but isn’t local enough to pick up I’m happy for it to be picked up by a courier or something that you arrange but I have nothing to box it up with so your collection agent will need to sort that out too.
  3. Hi, So these have been sat around in the garage for a few years now. My nephew made me pull them out wanting to take up the hobby, but nitro really isn't for him (he's only 12 too)... so rather than putting them back away and have them sat around for another 5 years doing nothing might as well sell them BOTH CARS ARE BEING SOLD AS NON RUNNING. So with that important statement out the way, let me try and provide a little more detail. On both cars, the electrics all work exactly as they should. Everything powers up, the TX and RX connect, and the steering and throttle servos both operate as they should. However I have not been able to get the nitro engine running on either car. This will be in no small part due to the fact that I do not have a working glow starter! My nephew has lost interest though and I really can't be bothered, so I am looking to sell them effectively as rolling chassis with electrics and a non running engine. It may well work with a clean up, it may need parts. I honestly don't know. The Trophy Truggy has a few upgrades, most notably the steering servo and a roto start plate on the back of the engine. The original servo and the pull start are also included as is a whole host of other mostly new and unopened Trophy Truggy parts. The Savage X is a Special Edition and I believe still in standard form. The original Dodge Charger bodyshell is slightly cracked but there is a standard Savage bodyshell and also a brand new unopened new unpainted Dodge Charger bodyshell with it too. It comes complete with its rotostart which has a brand new battery (the old one is also included but doesn't work). I think most of the original parts are still with it too as is the original box. The serial number for the special edition is still on the chassis. Also included in the package is start box, though I'm not sure if I ever got this setup to work with the Trophy Truggy or not. Oh and an electric engine heater too. Ideally looking to sell the whole lot in one go but if I have buyers agreed for the Savage and Trophy Truggy separately then I'd split the two I guess. Will really have to be collection I think (from Pinner, Greater London) as its a LOT of kit. Trying to send it by courier would probably end up meaning a pallet delivery! Honestly don't know how to price this, the Savage X Special Edition makes it more complicated... so lets just say £300ono for the lot as a starter?

    Losi Mini 8ight?

Sorry for the late reply, but I didn't know what I was after as I recalled it doesn't work but didn't remember why. I've since figured that out, the TX and RX were both dead, pretty standard bits fortunately to easy to solve. I've also managed to acquire a second one to use as a donor for future parts, so hopefully I'll be able to keep mine running for a little while. Shame they don't make these any more they are great and seemed to be pretty popular.
  7. Two parallel charging boards. One has banana plug inputs the other has an XT60 input (which makes it handing for chaining multiple boards together if your charger can handle that many batteries). Outputs are all XT60. £10 each posted.

    SOLD

Hi Is £160 posted and paid via PayPal Goods and Services acceptable? If so I’ll take this.
  9. Hi, I have one of these: https://www.hpiracing.com/en/kit/101736 that I bought new when they were release. I still have the box, the truck and the TX but not so sure about the other little bits. The Roto Start is not available as my nephew has taken that. I don't get time to use it any more and it hasn't been used for several years (so I guess I'd need to start it and check it still runs). If I were to sell this, what would it be worth? How much should I try and list it for sale for? thanks!
  10. Only two left and open to offers on it
  11. Open to offers on the remaining parts
  12. HI sorry, i thought i had replied to you yesterday, but i've just checked i must have forgotten to hit the submit reply button as it hadn't been sent! really sorry. have just hit submit on that now.
  13. Hi all, my r/c cars have been gathering dust for the last few years as having kids and moving house and then other hobbies took over. My nephew recently asked for my trophy truggy which prompted to dig out the all the other bits and cars too. I found my Losi Mini 8ight as well, quite liked this one, small enough to use in the garden etc and a lot of fun upgraded to run on a 2S lipo with lowered gearing and larger wheels. mine doesn't work any more though... need to figure out whats wrong, think it needs a new radio/receiver or something... but i noticed there aren't many parts available any more and they don't seem to be available new anymore either? what happened? did Losi discontinue them? real shame if they did.
  14. Happy to split these and sell individually if anyone wants just one or two.
  15. Apologies had forgotten to include a price for the rotostart plate and also had the wrong price on the one way bearing so updated that.

  19. Aren't the stock tyres HPI D compound also? It can't just be the tread pattern that's bad ? I was thinking of going for either pro line mashers or big joes.
  20. Hi No, I just bought wider rears because that's how the car was originally. I didn't know people run fronts all round for the reasons you stated. I've only really been using the FTX Vantage wheel/tyre combo and it's been working fine. I have a 14tooth pinion in there and the motor and ESC have been cool to the touch when I last checked (running on concrete). I'm not sure about the offsets but I did fid that the other wheels with the dirt hawgs on rub slightly as the hex is deeper than the original wheels. I haven't really found a good fix but I guess maybe shimming then out 1 to 2mm would work. Not tried it yet though and I don't know of the wheel bolts will be long enough. Will have to double check the rotation on the dirt hawgs before I put them back on!! I know in that pic I had only put them on quickly to take a couple of pics so I hope it's just fitting oversight and I haven't glued them on wrong too!
  21. So, new servo in. pinion loctited. Slipper looked tight so have just left that. I had the traxxas rod ends but nothing else. Looks like I need a few more bits first before I can convert to captured turnbuckles. Might wait till they get lost/ pop off too frequently. Had a quick play with it outside in the car park. Wow the stock tyres are bad. On dry tarmac they are sliding around as if in the wet or even on ice. Might need some new wheels and tyres first I think!
  22. Thanks. I suspected that might be the case. The stock HPI TF40 that comes with the other cars I have has end point adjustments on it, shame the Losi one doesn't. Will look at the FlySky. Don't need the 10 model memory though as I often have friends or nephews bashing with me so each car needs its own TX.
  23. I've decided to join the Savage XS club. Picked one up from my local store yesterday Unfortunately its still in its box! Need to get some connectors soldered up for the batteries. I also have the Alturn servo and some Traxxas rod ends so I guess its worth swapping these before first use? Anything else I should do? The pinion seems to come loose a lot so should I just go ahead and loctite that first too? Do I need to check the slipper?
  24. I guess about 5 to 10 degrees of movement? Is that too much? The other thing I noticed is that with the stock TX I'm a long way from the end points of the steering servo are quite a long way off. For example if I deliberately set the trim all the way to the left I can turn left further if that makes sense. So to me that means that I could set the end points further than the stock TX has them set at the moment right? How can I do that? Somewhat related to this I guess, how do I know how far I can set the end point without damaging the servo?
  25. So I finally found some time today to repair my Mini 8ight... only to find that I had ordered the wrong turnbuckles (Mini 8ight T doh!) and that I had also lost one of the dogbones but hadn't noticed My usual go to list of eBay and Modelsport don't seem to have any in stock (at least not from the UK)... so any suggestions on where to get them from? Is it worth getting these parts from AsiaTees instead? Put the new servo in, went with a 1257 in the end with the Kimbrough servo saver instead of the stock unit.. Can't really test it but it seems better so far... I did notice there is a huge amount of play/ slop in the steering though. Seems to be mostly in the steering mechanism before the turnbuckles rather than the axles. Is it just worn or is there a hop up to improve this? Thanks!
