  1. Thanks for the thoughts guys. will need to go invest in a temp gun. any decent recomendations that arent crazy prices for what it is ?
  2. hello all! iv got a blitz ese with a 8.5T 60amp ezrun set up. Bashed about in my big back garden/feild for about a year geared 20/88 on Proline Trenchers with no heat problems atall(doesnt even really get hot) apart from on hot days and on 3s the esc would go into protection mode and the motor would get slightly warmer but could still easily touch the motor for as long as you wanted without it getting anywhere near hurting. I recently put some Slingshots on beadlock rims and went a bash at my local beach.....WAS SO MUCH FUN! But as always theres a down side my motor heated up alot and very quickly i could only bash for about 10 min or so before the motor got to the point i could only touch it for afew seconds before it would become uncomfortable both on 3s and 2s but had no ESC heat issues. wheels etc still spun freely even with all the sand caked over them. Now will i have to gear the car even lower or is it more likly to of been caused by the amount of damp sand i started to carrie about in the chassis? after spending the rest of the night stripping the car down and cleaning sand out iv went n ordered a outerwears from the US to try stop the sand sitting in the tub so much. any help would be awesome oh and this is how it looked after 5min........
  3. I live out in the middle of nowhere really so iv a decent back garden and back stright out onto a HUGE feild. Handy for bashing although iv only one local mate who does off road stuff. most are into drifting
  4. I love my Blitz. takes a beating alday long and never lets me down. Got the chassis through ebay from a guy that was on here. only problem i had was when i got it the spring for the ball diff was missing so didnt grip atall. so i changed it out to a gear diff and its been great running 30k oil in it which is waaay to high for the grass im mostly running on any recomendations on a better oil for mostly grass bashing would be helpful cheers for the comments!
  5. the savage is stock abd the Blitz has a Ezrun 8.5t 60amp set up
  6. running a 2s 4200MAH 40c Nanotech battery. Thing seems to last forever, Constantly over 20min anyway
  7. More bashing about with my Savage XS and Blitz ESE. had both about the same time. zero broken parts on the blitz. savage has been through 6dogbones (twisting and bending) and my center drive cups are well worn out. skip to the end for an epic high jump
  8. Would you split front and rears? wouldnt mind the rears as they will fit my savage XS
  9. i will be at work 8-5 on sunday and i just bent and twisted a dogbone on the rear of the XS. looking at the manual it looks like its been put together wrong! manual shows foam spacers in the outdrives on the front. and one O-ring in the rear. iv got foam all round. Not sure if that would of caused it. How offten do you guys go there ? i get 1 in 4 weekends off
  10. Isnt there a skate park there aswell ? could be good for throwing the cars off if its quite
  11. nothing that iv not done with my blitz....and they are the same shocks! i dont know if i just got a lemon as it seems to have had afew problems i didnt see coming and i got this so i could stop jumping my blitz as i know the ESE isnt ment to much for bashing wonder if it will work out cheaper to go get a blow torch and heat up all the drive cups or switch to hotracing ones all round. Thanks for the responses!
  12. Hello all! needing some helps with some parts for my Savage XS. from what i see about the net they seem to be pretty comman problems 1. shock bottoms(#105296). been through 2 of them in the week or so iv had the savage.they seem to be very skinny compaired to whats on my blitz. The blitz shock end fits but nowhere in the UK has them in stock either, so just wondering if theres any other HPI,Traxxas etc shock ends that fit it ? 2. what are you guys on here using for shock upgrades ? iv managed to bend a rear shock shaft slightly and lost a bit of oil. bent back into place easily enough and now filled with 45wt with no leak 3. my ceneter drive cups have signs off wear on them already but after sending pics to HPI they are sending out a replacment set for me. but again seems to be something iv seen mentioned here and there on the net so is there any tryed and tested hardened ones? 4.what do you have your slipper set at ? at seening the drivecups worn the first thing i thought it would be was an overly tight slipper. so i set it to per the manual of tighten till spring bottoms out then back of 1/4turn. this just seems very stiff to me ? Thanks for any help
  13. yes i do archey aswell and i back out onto a massive feild which is handy....still not got the guts to jump my cars over the fence into the feild yet.
  14. Im about the Dunfermline area and if im not working and my cars are working im always up for a good bash. i normaly just go out in my backgarden though! or down to the Glen. some sweet spots there but its normaly busy when im out and normaly end up with the chavs around You watching plenty ramps
  15. Just afew videos iv taken on some of the ramps iv got set up in my back garden the air we can get off the big kicker is abit worrying when you dont level your car out in time!! not much in the way of damage to anything but the Savage.....If anyone knows where I can get shock ends for it that would fit I would be very greatful!! as nowhere has the ones recomend or the blitz ones which fit SavageXS doing some flips etc: SavageXS and Firestorm Blitz ESE and firestorm(youtube made me change the music) Blitz ESE with a 3s lipo and my 8year old MT-2
