I agree, don't go anywhere near the stuff, one fast way to destroy all your hard work. The turbo conversion will make it fast enough.

  7. have the engine built back up mostly, now the seals have turned up today so may be able to get it started up (unlikly though). ran into an issue with the manifold making the turbo stick out abit to much and the wastegate touches the bonnet but never mind il flip the turbo round top view front veiw

Out of interest have you planned out which insurer you will be going with, considering all the mods the car will have undertaken?

      already insured they charged me

  11. the body work in some places is pretty bad its something i can not do. i have had a look for the wide archs but they dont seem to exist anymore i may go the fibreglass route though and make my own..

14psi of boost 520cc injectors are only good for 400hpish at 55psi fuel rail pressure.

    3. Carpmart

      Carpmart

What motor? 3 Bar is 45 psi give or take. 8 x 520cc is good for more, just depends on number of cylinders (and potentially the number of injectors your running per cylinder) right! :o)

    4. dlegend

      dlegend

your right but the 3 bar sensor is beacause the stock map sensor can only read up to 11psi and im running a b18c4 vtec engine with forged internals with turbo @13-14psi (still building the engine) scroll to the bottom :)

  13. unfortunately not iv had to order an arch roller to see if i can make them fit if not then il raise her up a tad and get some plastic flares
  14. another update wheels have arrived but dont seem to fit oh and new radiator has arrived too
  15. so my new wheels stick 1inch out of the arches :( poo fingers crossed rolling the arches will fit it

(the other persons car was a right off lol) and whats been done today and one of the stripped engine block waiting for some machine work
  18. fast road use (within speed limit of course and to use less fuel im hoping for but with neptune rtp i have a choice of switching maps on the fly eco, normal, and fu**ing fast mode
  19. well here is a quick update i find my car slow now so i decided to go turbo and rebuild the engine from scratch specs are Mahle low compression pistons scat conrods acl big end and main bearings acl thrust bearings arp head studs rpc stage 3 clutch techno5 lightweight billet steel flywheel works engineering cam gears b16a2 cams generic intercooler cheap td04e turbo(just to get up and running with) performance, mainfold (thats the actual name of the company lol) generic oil relocator and oil cooler viton vavle stem seals bored out block from 81mm to 81.50 also decked chipped p28 ecu with neptune rtp and demon2 nikki 520cc injectors 2.5 inch down pipe 1.5inch screamer pipe tial 2 port wastegate and lots more here is a test fit of the intercooler (last thing i should be doing but im still waiting for the pistons and rods . hoping its going to take about to weeks to get her on a basemap and back on the street

its a b18c4 in a ef civic(170hp stock) i am in the process of putting forged pistons rods reworked head and going turbo. i ask my insurance company how much it would go up a few months ago and they said they would not insure me. so i rang up again and the chap said it will cost

    3. dlegend

      dlegend

@TrickyTris 60trim @10psi 300hp is easy to make even on the stock block which can handle 400hp then the pistons and rods become an issue after that 500hp+ the sleaves become the next weak factor

    4. Si Coe

      Si Coe

Not really that surprised. Insurance is a numbers game - engine mods you can't see are an enthusiast thing, and they don't crash often or claim much. Lowering is a chav thing and they crash all the time with big bills.

  21. Quick update just gave it a lick of paint that's about it and have also started to design the failsafe mechanism.
  22. I'm surprised it fits did you have trouble loading it??
  23. What did you do about the diffs as even the 1/10 motor(blue one) blows them to bits. And yes its shimmed
  24. Is yours a 1/8th motor? If so where did you get a pinon to fit a 5mm shaft
