  1. Picked my trophy down and changed the diff oils etc the other day, took it to the track today and think I may have done something wrong! Started up nicely, pulled the throttle with it on my starter box and the front wheels went backwards and the rear wheels went forward, think I've put the centre diff back together wrong somehow lol lol Ooooops, job for tomorrow!!
  2. Off work at the moment so cleaned all the cars, changed diff oil, shock oils, general maintenance and check ups! No messaged them as soon as i found out, waiting to hear back soon hopefully!! Think it will be stronger with bolts and clamp down on to the upper chassis better, but I don't think it will look as nice. Can't think of any downsides to be honest!
  3. Good work Dazz. Be interested in hearing how it performs with the shock upgrade. Also, as you guys have said already, i beleive there are issues with the bigbores, I think this is the way to go! Aaron (Thinking to myself "I've got all the parts do i give it a go?")
  4. Not much too report other than they certainly feel more stable than the plastic ones. They certainly look better. Only problem I had was that one of the posts has not got any thread!! Contacting them now to see what they are going to do!! Will report back after a blast round the track over the weekend
  5. The site came back up just in time for me to tell everyone about the arrival of these bad boys:
  6. Nice one clive, cracking video!
  7. Just ordered them, thanks mate. Can't wait to get this shell on. Looks awesome!!
  8. Hi Jake, got my Phatbodies Truggy shell today but not doing anything too it till the weekend, didnt realise I may need to extend the body posts, which Traxxas ones did you have to get? Thanks
  9. Was going to do it earlier but I was at work and could not get on the King Headz website lol! Yeah Paying $10.51 (
  10. New stuff to buy!!! If your looking to but any other bits just be mindfull that the shock towers for the losi 8ight truggy are weak and break easily!! The other stuff looks worth investing in!!
  11. They stiil have some left, mine has been posted to me today!!
  12. Well perhaps, in the old Tamiya days everyone used balloons!!
  13. Check youtube, people use Plasti dip, corrosionX. I've never done it personally as i'm cautious around electrics and water. However one of the guys at the MSUK Bash had his done with plasti dip and was running through puddles deeper than his car with no issue!!
  14. I think they are but at the end of the day you can get cheaper servo's, depends how much you want to spend, also look at getting a hump pack to give what ever you do get some more juice!!
  15. Yeah it's been in sunlight for a few weeks!! You out on Sunday Qball?
  16. My response is always SAVOX!! Although there are a lot of other strong servo's out there but I'm not sure which ones, more advice will follow I'm sure
  17. Yeah, think ill do the same and stay with the byrons, plus think this other fuel is too old!! Thanks for the help Dave lol
  18. Well I'm ready for Sunday afternoon, think the reason the trophy wasn't starting last weekend was the fuel!! Tried it this morning with my old fuel and it wouldn't start so stripped it down, cleaned the engine and put byrons in and it started, cleaned it out and put old fuel back in and wouldn't start again, cleaned again and put byrons back and all good, started and runs spot on!! "Does nitro have a life expectancy" I guess is the obvious question??
  19. I just spray and wipe it down with GT85 (http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_193267_langId_-1_categoryId_228374) and i get nowhere near as much as i used to, still get a bit of surface rust where stones have got in and rubbed but i just brush that off with an old toothbrush lol
  20. Pics for you but unfortunately no sujestions as to what it could be other than a shagged servo! She needs a clean, just noticed that blade of grass in the first picture lol
  21. http://monarchmodels.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=29_30&products_id=377 I have a couple of these, buy all my HPI stuff from Monarch Models as i drive past it too and from work lol, orders everything i need in for me and always competative with his prices!! These run my Savox's with no issues ata all!!
  22. I'm the same mate, hate the look of the plastic collars!!
  23. Hi CalumR Yeah the Stadium 2 Pro ones are the easy upgrade. I have these ones in my Trophy spares box: http://www.hpiracing.co.uk/piw.php?partNo=HBC8174 Also I think someone said that the Losi 8ight Truggy ones will fit, I have a spare set in my Losi spares box so if i get a chance over the weekend I'll size them up and report back. If I remember correctly CreativeChris is using Ansmann shock's, sure he'll give you some feedback on those. Persoanally (as i've said before) I've never had any real issue's with the standard shocks and she's taken some abuse! I changed the oil's when i first got it (one didnt have any oil in) and busted one shock cap, perhaps I've just been lucky but i think the standard shocks are ok. As I said I have the LS2P shocks from my roller but havent felt the need to change them and wont be changing till these die! Whats actually wrong with your shocks??
