  1. Hi guys, so I took the plunge, went to Monarch Models and got myself a (currently) shiny new HPI Truggy, it's just finished it's first tank with no issues at all.... Fuel in, primed, glow plug starter on, two tugs on the pull start, away she went and didn't stop once. Not looking forward to the next couple of tanks as this is taking far too long and I want to have some fun, still all for the good of the engine I guess. Going to the pub shortly so I'll get the next tank done before I go and then hopefully I was going to try and catch up with some of you guys one evening during the week and drive around in circles for a tank or two, exciting as that sounds. When you guys out for an evening run next week and would you mind if i tag along??
  2. Ok so I took the plunge and got myself a (currently) shiny new HPI Truggy, it's 8mins through it's first tank and sounding a lot nicer than it did at first!! Followed the HPI starting process to the letter and it started with no issues at all.... Fuel in, primed, glow plug starter on, two tugs on the pull start and away she went and hasn

  4. Hey Luigino007, Thanks for the reply and advice. Funnily enough I was originally looking at the Slash, heard a lot of good things about it but then i decided to take the plunge and go for a Nitro, was then looking at the Slayer but now i'm really sold on he idea of getting the HPI Truggy 4.6 and looks like i'll be the proud owner of one as soon as work stops getting in the way and I get a chance to get back to Monarchs!!!! In the mean time if anyone does have any other suggestions or advice it will always be apprecited.
  5. Thanks for the advice people, appreciate it. I popped in to Monarch's on the way home from work this afternoon, as you've all said he's a helpful guy. Think i'm going to get the HPI Truggy 4.6 to be honest, been reading and looking at so many different Nitro's, but i always seem to go back to the TT!! Not around on the 10th but will definately be up for meeting up, when else are you guys out and about?
  6. Thanks for the quick reply, not a fan of Phil Greeno's then lol, bad previous experience then? I'm not too sure at the moment to be honest, which is why I'd prefer to go and have a look and a chat with someone rather than just buy online, i do however like the look of and reviews I've read on the HPI Trophy Truggy 4.6 but I'm open to sugestions. Tried reading up about a few models online but when I find a model that people say is the best, I read another site and just as many people say it's the worst lol Looking to spend
  7. Hey guys, Sorry to crash your topic but I see your all relatively local to me, I'm looking to get a nitro truggy and am after some advice on reputable local dealers, I'm going to be popping in to Phil Greeno in Rayners Lane this week but wanted to have a look around before biting the bullet. Last time I bought anything to do with RC I went to Hobbies and Models in Harrow which is now a bar and Seymore models (I think it was called) on College Road Harrow which is now a block of flats, so it was a while ago lol! Any advice will be appreciated.
