  4. yeah, it looks the part, but i think i'm still swaying towards the durango. i will see if the v3 comes down in price when the v4 comes out. then maybe, hopefully, we'll see you on your new track
  5. oh dear. i hope it gets sorted for you mate,, but sure you'll have good fun indoors while you wait, just noticed, the s-works s104 needs little batteries, not the standard lengh, so, its looking like the durango still
  6. thanks for the help again Si Coe, err, yes it is help, lol. although,... now i have another contender, i like the fact it doesn't need saddle pack batteries. when does your racing start back up Si Coe?
  7. i have plazma 2s, and nano tech 2s and 3s, my opinion on what i have, hpi plazma's; great batteries, err, thats it really. charge great everytime and had them for around 2 years, top battery and although it seems expensive, it last well. nano tech 2s; a good battery, used a few times now, about 9 months old. showing signs of puffing but still charging and working fine. nano tech 3s; the same as the 2s cell really, decent enough battery although not used as many times as the 2s, but has been used harder lol, and also showing signs of puffing. my verdict, although the plazma's are dearer, they seem better better value to me, plus they're hard case. but the nano's are good value batteries too. erm, i havn't helped, have i? What to choose

are you sure you defo want nitro mate? only ask because, if new to it, electric is alot simpler(i don't mean anything by that ),. i understand why some people prefer nitro tho, my bro has a couple. but he's always tinkering with them, while us leccy's just continuosly fly about. plus, what kind of budget bud? Scott
  9. i mainly just bash with my son at parks and car parks, aswell as on our road and back garden. i know i have a savvy to bash with, but after my son getting a buggy, kyosho lazer, it dances all round the savage. so i thought, now my son is coming 8 and taking a keen interest in his RC buggy, to buy a good kit and build it up with him, then do a swap with him, for his lazer zx5. By time we got done we would just about be ready to join a club if we wanted. and he would already have a good, reliable car that he is used to driving. We would get all the weaker points found out and upgraded, ready for the summer. but going for the durango now,...... maybe, lol i have to open a new bank account tomorrow, then i'll make up my mind, our mind when i finish work. Scott
  10. yes, i think the durango is winning so far,..... don't know if you remember Si Coe, but you gave me advice last year on the 410 v3, i got as far as getting the card details in but never ordered. would of made christmas a bit tight. but now looking for a buggy again. have you seen the new 410 v4 http://www.team-durango.com/race-cars/dex410v4/, i think this is the 1 for me. do you think it will it be in the kit form? Scott
  11. about the motor, i thought, more money less maintainance and worry of realiability. thanks Si Coe, has the option 2 you listed got reverse capability bud? would that combo be good for a dex 410v aswell? used for the same things, bashing, grass....... thanks bud Scott
  12. Hello guys, could anyone confirm this choice of motor with esc please? ESC http://www.modelsport.co.uk/castle-sv3-sidewinder-waterproof-1-10th-esc/rc-car-products/373956 with motor http://www.modelsport.co.uk/orion-vortex-vst-2-pro-mod-540-2p-8.5t-bls-motor/rc-car-products/373985 it would be going in a CAT K1, mainly to run on grass and just bashing and messing about just wanted to double check before i order thanks for any info Scott

  14. keep away from them guy's, just had a e-mail saying it was from paypal and that someone tried to take 40 odd quid and that i was to click on link to dispute it. the e-mail wasn't from paypal and it was a link to get my information. anyway, the authorities have shut him down now but no doubt he'll/she'll be already set up in another name. just be aware guy's, they're still out there Scott

  18. Hello guys, has anyone ordered from here before, http://www.traxxasrchobby.com/ ? just wondered because i'm about to get a schumacher cat k1 from them and wanted to make sure it's a reputable rc shop. they seem very cheap, for example, the K1, http://www.traxxasrchobby.com/schumacher-cat-k1-pro-110-4wd-off-road-buggy-kitschk135-p-772.html, half price, like most of the other stuff from them. is it too good to be true? thanks for any infoo guy's Scott
