  1. Got them on eBay, but that's 4 years ago... There are some sellers on there that still do shock covers, but cant see any like the ones I ordered.
  2. There was a guy on here a while ago who was selling alloy spur gears. I got one and found it worked quite well, until it stripped the brass pinion gear. You can get improved steel pinions, however rather than wear out over time, I tend to find these just lose a tooth meaning they have to be replaced.
  3. Here is one with the carbon chassis. Looks the same as the chassis that Hobbyking have got. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Found an interesting place to go off Riverbank Road in Bromborugh. Perhaps it has been mentioned before, a bit of waste ground owned by Peel Holdings. It seems to get a lot of use from trials bikes unfortunately, but for off road cars it's almost ideal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. This is what I have, not cheap but I was having a moment of seeing what I could upgrade in it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282404213287 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Gonna second this. Whilst I have had mine upgraded with carbon/alloy, it only moves the inevitable to the next weakest part of the design. I would, however, suggest that at least the chassis should me changed when you can afford it. The plastic one has particular weak spots and doesn't hold up to bashing much. Whilst new plastic ones are cheap, the process of swapping over is significantly time consuming. I split my chassis in two when it was still plastic, bought a carbon fibre one (which got me onto the upgrade path) and have since thrown it over bmx jumps and it survived. (The chassis survived, the steering knuckles didn't). I rarely use mine now, moved onto an MTA4 and a 5B but it's still nice to dust it off occasionally. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Got a Switchblade switch on my 5B, assume it's the same switch layout. Got it from RCModelz. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. Came with the carbon chassis. Not seen these for a while now though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Thought I would post a shot of mine. Doesn't move much anymore, but for a time I was replacing everything I broke with an upgrade. Needless to say, the only original parts are now the battery cover plate, steering servo and front bumper. Upgrades ain't necessarily an improvement, I have done more damage bending a metal wishbone than I have snapping a plastic one. The motor and esc are now waterproof, the old one didn't like puddles. The original chassis snapped in half when I was doing something stupid, skate park I think. The alloy spur is a bit of a pain, took me a while to get the right amount of tension to not kill pinion gears. The brass ones would always strip off and the steel ones would just snap off the odd tooth. The motor and esc in it would do upto 4s which I would think in a car like this would be insane. Wouldn't thing it would last more than 5 minutes with the way I normally drive it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Less likely to lose a dogbone when it falls out. I have lost a few with snapping wishbones. The CVD stays attached to the wheel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hi Anyone have any experience with this? I have received the V1 of it and can't get it to recognise in Windows. Tried both Windows 7 and 10, however the USB is unrecognised. It doesn't come with any software and only has downloads from the manufacturer who, so far, have yet to reply to my support request. Anyone able to shed some light on it? Thanks
  14. I have had a carbon fibre one on mine for a long while. It does make a difference in robustness to the point where I am happy to throw it off jumps in skate parks and such. Body pins should have an upgrade too, the plastic ones break far too often. However, replacing the means replacing the carbon uprights for the carbon ones too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
