    2wd?

Has it got a centre diff? I did this to my old hsp and that didnt and yes it is lots more fun
  2. since i have resealed the back plate behind the pull start, adjusted the throttle linkage and had a tweak with the hsn it is now running like a dream, no engine leaks and it flys it doesnt want to stay facing forward
  3. Dont know if any mods will read this but here is a link to some different thunder tiger manuals that i found on the net and maybe of some use to people so if you want to archive it then please do :-) http://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69413
  4. Hi kevin that makes sense and i now realise why the spacers are there :-) i havent had a great deal of experience with these either but my other car just seems to start moving with less throttle if that makes sense. I have put a gasket on the manifold when i rebuilt the engine and used some liquid gasket to reseal the back plate behind the pull start so hopefully that helps :-) i am very pleased with the car and was expecting/glad there is a few problems with it as i bort it to strip/tinker with so i could learn about the engines etc without worrying about breaking anything. I think it will end up being my front runner as it is a lot better quality and stronger than my nitro car.
  5. Ive started taking the engine to bits and think ive found where its leaking....there is oil all behind the pull start. Any ideas what it could be? Also what does a worn clutch look like it is a 2 piece plastic clutch
  6. I bort it as a project/something to fiddle about with so it doesnt bother me that it has a few problems kust need pointing in the right direction :-)
  7. Hi all i have just bort a second hand dt10 and after only owning a hsp i now know how poor quality the hsp is. I have never had any experience in stripping nitro engines but i am very mechanical. After looking over the dt10 i have noticed that the engine mount is spaced on one side but not the other so basically the engine isnt straight/flat on the chassis it is tiping to one side. Any ideas why this has been done. I also got it running and it seemed to need quite a bit of throttle before it would start to move off. Could this be the clutch or is that just how they are? Also after i had turned it off i noticed oil/nitro around the engine on the chassis where could it potentially leak on the engine? Sorry about the ramble and i appreciate any help given
  8. Thanks for all the help on this :-)
  9. want something rwd and its
  10. There is a thunder tiger dt10 in the for sale section that i like the look of but am a bit conserned by the laxk of spares available. Are any of the tomahawk st parts the same? Thanks for amy help recieved
  11. Hi just wondering how long you have had it for and what is it like for getting spare parts? Could i see a pic with the body off please?
  12. Hi i am interested. What is actually missing from this to make it complete? Why has it been stripped?
  13. In replying to this without my truggy to hand.....is it possible that the gearbox/diffs run dry? Im pretty sure it has a diff at either end and a gearbox in the middle does that sound right? It is 2 speed.
  14. Hi all wondering if you could help me. I would like to convert my 4wd to 2wd as i think it will be more fun want some over steer :-) is it as simple as taking out the driveshaft that goes to the front diff? Will changing to 2wd cause any problems? Put anything under strain? Thanks for any help in advance
