  1. sorry cancel that, two forums at once, just bought some
  2. ok fella i got tons of crap ones, lol, its for the kids cars so if the greens are good ill take them both ok
  3. ok, and the black one, ill take all 3 for 20 posted yea?
  4. how good are the nimhs mate? also i think you could do with some better pics if you can they are really dark
  5. Lol, thats the combo link i sent you yesterday isnt it, the reason i said that one is its got a crawler mode as well, I think itl give you best of both worlds then? Dont put it in a box as that will overheat it, but mounting it in a higher position under the chassis and no fast deep wading it should be fine, i sometimes make shielding up just around it or waterproof the bottom section where the wires are, splashes usually dont cause much concern, its a total soak that ruins it
  6. ha ha good vid, your lucky your dogs that size, mines a wolf, sunk her teeth straight into mine. its got good power, and those paws do the job nicely
  7. yea the motors you listed there way are way to high, thats crawler territory.as i said ans gaz above, i wouldnt go over around 35T but its all personal, most people will stick in a certain range for specific driving, but all have there preferences that go either way for lots of reasons, one thing you could try is the standard axial 27t motors, cheap as chips and you will see that they are possibly too fast or you like them, but either way you wont loose much money if you dont. actually if you pay postage i have one you can borrow, if you send it back as well . but in the end i think the 35T will be your friend, also theres not much price difference in going brushless so i would stick to that.
  8. yep that looks fine mate, 17.5t is a goos motor, if you want to go full on foff maybe later drop down even further, the numbers like 35,27 17T is the turns on the motor, higher number is more torque less speed, lower is more speed less torque, you need to find a good speed and just enough torque to pull you around and up hills. your gearing will help there to, by a higher or lower spur (cog on end of shaft of motor)
  9. Yes it is brushed but was just giving you an idea, i would in that case go the hk route, you can get some blinding brushless combos there, head for 15-17t turn then or if ya want to chuck loads at it tekin twin fsr
  10. Im not familiar with that model yet( weirdly might be getting one soon so i can help more then) but i would probably from what you say just use a single esc like a evx2 that will power both motors and take 2 batteries? As for motor size thatl depend on how you want to run the rig, crawler or more trail monster truck, if trail/ crawler, i would say 27 to 35t motors
  11. Ha ha, least it werent from a cemetary, new someone do that once! Those wheels are thinner than stock but a bit stiffer, not sure on the summit fixing, that hex looks big, gonna look at that tommorow. Give em a go, mind you it may mess with the gearing a bit as they are a bit smaller arent they?
  12. i guess i would get a good 30-40 mins run time, as you dont blat it around everywhere eh, they all squat like that, soft tires and a heavy load, you could always stiffen the rear suspension a bit. where do you keep it at work
  13. well, i made some different connectors up for my 5000mah 2s lipos, and a y connector to join them to the esc, this one isn't running standard evx2 and titan, its a brushless setup. didn't have a spare lvc so just ran bout 15- 20 mins which i new would be fine (checked after and i was well in). very happy with its performance, climbed about 6 foot banks on throttle no probs, might consider going up to 3s, but i do want them mounted in the battery trays to keep it clean, and as the 2s only just fit i doubt i will manage that. just about to finish my run and she stopped on some rough ground, motor and all still working so i had to carry her back, these things should come with a health warning, they are soooo heavy.. once i was home a strip down revealed the spur gear had come loose, what a great design how these motors fit in, all rectified and loctited up and she ready to go again. these cars are just great, put a grin on my face right away. to be fair i don't think it needs any more speed, she's a big old girl and not a racer, fast enough i think, really enjoyed the first outing.
  14. youve done a good job with that trim mate, matt black, it always wins
  15. by all means put a complaint in, most dont filter down to the branch anyway, and its not always the posty, can be the sorting office, the posty wont get done for something unless theres real good proof, but if you say nothing, no one knows, so go for it.
  16. lol, it only just fits the 2s in!!ill pm ting and see if its a mod or some ting...... get it ting oh dear
  17. mate, can you give me the dimensions of the lipos? and cant see too much in the pic but i need the outlet wires to lay flat is that possible?
  18. yeah, been told that but they wont fit in the battery compartment will they as they are much thicker?
  19. IT LIVES mwhahahahahaha....converted my lipos with L connectors, just about fits under the hood. be about an hour for these to to charge then its out to the woods for trials. might still go for some nimhs on this one as i think ill get more power? you electrical tech guys may know? 14.4v on lipo, and 16.8v on nimhs ?
  20. ah i let you off then no mate great work
  21. man im impressed, that looks really good (part from whats that? a burnt lipo?) the tow hitch and trailer,, the whole kit, excellent work
  22. hey guys can you recommend a pair of good lipos that have connections just coming out the ends, like nimhs? this is going in a summit, so checking my esc it can go big but i dont think that will be any good for it, standard would be 8.4v nimhs so i would say 2s cheers also to consider im using this esc www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/%5F%5F10370%5F%5FHobby%5FKing%5F150A%5FHigh%5Fperformance%5FBrushless%5FCar%5FESC.html the bec says its switchable, so i guess i would need a program card to switch it up to 3.4v cut off?
