  1. It cant be much worse than nitro, defo be less fiddley to work on and tune, No messing about with glowsticks, roto starts, and best of all fuel is cheaper per gallon. Im looking faward to starting her up tomoz, could be a pain tho as its been sitting a while, but hubby has mini motos so im sure he can sus it out. fink ill run it a little rich to start with get some lube back into the engine.
  2. I just got my Marder buggy, second hand. Any thing i need to know about this model?? As ive neaver seen one before
  3. Hubby just braught home a 2nd hand http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/31917/ No shell or wing but cant moan for
  4. The s50 gear box and diff will take a lot to kill so as he says above thats a good plan. I think the diffs would take the baja motor etc in the s50 as thay are metal and ment to take abuse, ive had them open to service and thay are quite big gears in there. But it is a risk So may be not such a good idea. Btw what are the diffrences between the mgt8 and the s50 i thort thay may pritty much the same truck?
  5. Easy as that, allmost the same as my old mini moto really
  6. I dont see why not, but i dont think there is a kit for it like there is for outher trucks. You may have to find or make mounts for the motors that will fit in the space at the back. Outher than that it would not be a hard job i would not fink as the trucks have a lot of space to put your ESC etc. Hubby says May be use the motor that is used to convert the baja as that will have the power to send the truck at a wicked speed. Just need to inprov a mount some how.
  7. Well that much i know. I ment like any special lil things for crawlers that kinda fing.
  8. Out of interest for the time being, what would you lot like to have there that can be done with old pallets and dirt as wana do it as cheap as poss and be able to change it easy when we get bord?
  9. Dont u lot go thinking makeing cuppas for every one either
  10. This is going ova my head now I will go with what eaver red-neck thinks is best, i just picked out the hpi engine as i thort it was nice looking and what i was told in are local hobby shop about it. And ant u sposed to be working red-neck hehe
  11. Im aware of the power diff between the lrp and the hpi... But im not totaly sure the lrp will sit on mounts, and i fink the hpi is the better looking engine. ill have a chat with my local hobby shop and get more info before i jump either way, glad u told me bout the lrp as options are handy
  12. Have u still got the fuel tank, i need a 2nd tank on my mta4 s50 asnit drinks to much if so can u pm me a pic of the screw holes so i can see the fittings to make sure it can be done. Thanks
  13. If we buy it, we will be holding bashes, most weekends and in summer may be a eve in the week. But as i say u lot local will be invited to join us when eaver u like pritty much, as long as i know whos who from msuk. Astro could be a good idea at a later date, but to start with hubby and his brother will make a feestyle type area and leave the rest as it is with very rough, rutted ground. May be a track at a later date but thats a little more work lolz
  14. Me and hubby are looking at buying a nice lump of disused land at the back of a indust area just on the outskirts of ipswich, as he gets anoyed by kids comeing ova to look at cars and geting in the way in public areas. The land we are looking at is big enough for pertol cars easy, and is quite rough and lumpy. And coz of were it is noise dont matter We would be happy to let localish people from msuk come play down there if hubby decideds to buy it.... But it will be gated and locked to keep kids and travilers out unless we are there. May put in some kinda lay out on there jumps, curved burms etc kindq free syle ish. Ill keep u lot in the loop as we go see it wiv agent on 3ed dec.
  15. Get some travilers to do ya tarmack on the cheap
  16. Ive said yes, as its rc "cars". It says nout about boats, helis, planes and tanks lol
  17. I just realised ive neaver cheaked my slipper setting, i better do that and make sure its as the manual says oops
  18. Just had a lookie at the z30 its nice but fink i like the look of the hpi better
  19. Am i right in finking savage rims will fit my mta4 s50?
  20. Hi Ive not been here long but there is a nice bunch of people on here im sure ull fit right in Fink im only woman tho
  21. I use a 5.2 in my starter gun ( swiped it out of hubbys old rally car ) that turns ova my s50 engine very fast makeing starting easy evan on a frosty morning when my trucks been in the garage ova night. Sounds like its a marmite thing then with the hpi k5.9. It defo has more bhp than my s50 lump. And its taller going by the one in my local hobby shop. So i would need to get hubby to put a roll bar ova the back to stop dings. would it not become easyer to start after run in when the piston and sleave are tuned to each outher?
  22. Ive hurd that its a pain to start from my local model shop, but im sure a roto start would help. 4 stroke? Im not sure it would fit as the back end is quite tight for space, but were would i find such a engine?
  23. I agree with u all about this truck, i have the s50. The only thing im not to keen on is the engine as its got a lot of torque and quite a bit of bhp, but i feel that a higher reving engine would have been bettee such as the .28. The s50 comes as roto start only with the pro start gun in the box. Its very usefull on cold days when just geting started. Ive had a lot of little issues with it tho, diff strip at 5 weeks old, left hand track rod was bent from the box, had a dodgy steering servo. But thats rc for ya. And i got mine from model zone and there warranty systwm sucks i had to be quite nasty to get my diff fixed on warranty. Outher than that it just keeps bounceing bk from hard rolls and miss landed jumps cant moan about the build really, fink i just got a dodgy one
