  1. Cool thanks. The firestorm ones are like sixty each side which is expensive. Is there a cheaper but equally cool option? I fin the standard set up way too soft!
  2. Whats available, and does the blitz set fit (specifically the alloy ones)? Pics would be nice too - ta!
  3. I had issues with HPI glow plugs. Bought an OS8 as advised on here (bought 3 actually) and i'm still on the same one since I bought them - awesome! They last for ages. I am using Byron Gen 2 25% nitro fuel. If it won't start from cold I always adjust the throttle gain a little on the remote to provide a little throttle to aid starting. Then tweak it down when the car starts. Think of it as giving the car a bit of throttle whilst trying to start it.
  4. I am fairly new to Nitro but I woudn't say it difficult. Once you understand tuning and idling etc it's easy. Get the idle right, make sure it has a little throttle when starting, use an os8 glow plug for this cold weather and it'll be fine. Yes they don't seem to run as nicely in the freezing weather but they do work still!! Mine is fine really. Also keep the car inside so when you take it outside it's already at room temp and not f*cking freezing - like the boys say it will run better when a little warmer.
  5. thanks guys. Do you think it just kept going straight due to the batteries being low? It worked again when I got close to it?? Here are the pics: front suspension ok - nice new strong alloy bits, they defo work! Bottom of bulkhead snapped: Steering servo mostly fine (still works fine!) The linkage part of the steering broke and this is the bit I am stuck with as don't know what parts I need to replace it etc: Switch also smashed! Here's how she stands now - I will get it fixed up like new again though It's far too addictive to give up, surprisingly addictive considering my age!
  6. But fuel goes a long way and glow plugs last a long time too! Batteries die fast then you have the painstaking charging time etc. Topping up with fuel takes a second.
  7. As above boys, think the batteries were low in the transmitter and it went off at full throttle, would not stop and straight into a wall! Top deck bent to buggery, but suspension all ok as just replaced it with some Ali bits. Steering servo horn and the little ball joint piece all ok but rest of linkage buggered. What do I need exactly as it's confusing as hell. I will stick pics up tomorrow! bad thing is I'd only just rebuilt it after my other crash!
  8. I have set it as detailed on the video so you can turn it very slowly when holding both the back wheels still. Should I just lean out the LSN a little to get more off the mark acceleration?
  9. Cheers boys. I think I will stick with stock as it's dirt cheap that way. Also I fancy putting money into getting nicer suspension rather that spangly arms. Might get an alloy front suspension retaining bit and the alloy front arm mount but that's it.
  10. As above, I had my first 40mph crash at the weekend (breaking only the front arm I might add - not bad!) Managed to get it super glued and got back up and running, but i'm thinking of swapping out the front suspension for something more substantial. There are a few options. Keep the standard plastic arms and get replacements (@
  11. Cheers buddy. Mine doesn't seem to wheelie much at all. I think I've only had like three wheelies out of it since I got it (I have only owned it three weeks and used it about 5 or 6 times though). It accelerates fast but still won't wheelie.
  12. Yes I can imagine it's easy to lose those! I tried tightening those bolts but it's too tight then and the car won't roll freely. Does nowhere in the Uk supply those carbon discs? It's such an arse that we seem to stock no hop ups in this country! I think my disc may just be buggered from the oil that got onto it. May try taking it off an cleaning with an alcohol spray.
  13. It worked brilliantly for a while, but now it hardly works at all. When you turn and brake it's not so bad, but stopping in a straight line from full throttle it's uselss! Is there a tool available to remove that retaining clip!?
  14. Mine hasn't been used loads as the car is still quite new, and initially it was mint and stopped the car really well, however it's since become pretty useless! Can't decide if it's worn out or just been ruined from the oil that leaked onto it when the exhaust came loose. If I change it is it best to stay stock or upgrade straight away? Also how does the retaining clip come off!? Thank yoooouuuu!
