  1. 64 pitch worked fine for me with 4.5 boosted.
  2. I used to bash, would go bashing daily but after discovering racing I've only been bashing once in the last year but go racing most weeks. What's the point in bashing on a track?
  3. There's lots of different classes there. That's the spec class. Though most people enter the Stock 17.5 class.
  4. How about Worldwide racing? IIC anyone?
  5. I'd disagree that its more about how they've been stored than how many cycles they've had. Anyway, they don't last forever so budget for them like tyres!
  6. Isn't 20T with a 2650KV like over 60mph on 4S? Ie WAAAAY overgeared for anything other than a high speed run.
  7. If anyone's ever raced stock touring cars they'll know not all motors are equal. I had an HPI Flux Poo and it needed 3 fans just to keep temps in check once I'd boosted it to be vaguely quick. But more expensive doesn't mean better. If I was on a budget I'd just buy Thunder Power motors or maybe the Dynamites. But as it is I like my LRP x20. Though I've got a Trinity Killshot on the way.
  8. Me too! I was like, oh, long shocks, cut chassis. Oh hang on a minute....
  9. I used to consider myself a bit of a loner. But I just added 3 more cells to my wolfpack.
  10. I can't wait for this. That cooling ramp wasn't on the V5 though.
  11. The Hudy tape is absolutely brilliant. I once tried to see how long I could use a single piece. I used it for two separate meets, with at least 1x practice, 4x quali and 2x finals on both and the tape was still totally useable afterwards. The Hudy stuff is a little more expensive than the others at
  12. Traxxas have an awesome warranty. They target newcomers which then make mistakes and end up making lots of warranty claims or they fully utilise the support. There aren't many companies that you can ring and actually get someone on the end of the phone immediately to help you free of charge. Ultimately, they bring people into the hobby and I'm sure the hobby would be much smaller without them. So another Traxxas car is good in my book.
  13. For 1:10 touring car? I'm pretty sure people change car's all the time!
  14. Am I right in thinking its the first time that platform has been brushed? I'm sure many people will get one and love it though.
  15. I'd be very surprised if anyone that is a regular A finalist in a full BRCA touring car national has anything other than a mint car. Sure with a wreck of a car even a regular c or d finalist could win at many club meets but a lot of the top guys do pay for their stuff.
  16. I disagree. See all the top level guys, their cars are a work of art. A well prepared car is a fast one. A well prepared car is an immaculate one.
  17. I've got one of those tools though usually use these http://www.hudy.net/xhudy/products/proddesc.php?prod_id=173
  18. Hmm the car looks a bit off balance. I bought an Mi4 CXL for my dad and had to put the ESC on the side with the battery since it was a shorty.
  19. Definitely don't paint it! But I must admit to buying Tamiya blue tools and even a blue fan.
  20. You have to do it by full voltage as that's what it charges to. 50 / 16.8 = 3.0 amps.
  21. I don't think the Core UAC 50 would be powerful enough.
  22. Ah there is serious temptation to get that TB04 for a "fun" car!
  23. I think I'll get one of those chargers as I plan on doing ETS next year but spending money on a better lipo would really benefit you Much More (lol)
