  1. Thanks for the advice,I will get a couple ordered.
  2. Hello all,I bought a 2nd hand B44 buggy off flea bay which I'm going to being fitting with a exceed 10.5t motor and ESC,I could do with some advice on gearing as it didn't come with any electrics,I haven't got a base setting for the pinion gear.Any advice would be appreciated as to where to start from .
  3. And you can get it online as an App style download.I've got it on my iPad,which is handy as now I don't need to traipse into town to pick up a copy.
  4. Sold my firestorm today, have a feeling I may get another, just didn't hit the spot for me this time round, and started off badly just after purchase. But fair play to it,it did get bashed and came back for more, think next time it will get a better set up and a bit more development from me.Until then Slash ultimate here I come.
  5. Thanks for the advice chaps,I will pop back and grab one next week.Looking forward to seeing this one run,had enough of the E-firestorm I bought,as it's just not suitable for where I run.
  6. Quick bit of advice needed,I bought an Associated B44 buggy off flea bay a while back,it's complete less motor radio and esc.Today I bought a 2.4 radio and receiver, and whilst in the shop asked about a motor and esc,he told me the Fusion 10.5t kit he had in would make it very fast, however I recall reading elsewhere that a 6.5t was preferable for this 4wd kit.As a side note it's doubtful it will be raced just used for fun mostly. Any advice gratefully received.
  7. Ran it on the 2s to try and get used to it , then switched to the 3s.was contemplating sticking some flat wheel weights underneath possibly.
  8. They do look nice, got a set of proline sand hawgs from the states mounted on a set of black dished wheels ready for the snow.Had a nightmare up the forest with mine today, just couldn't get any traction at all on the standard tyres, need to find something to dig in better, then I suppose the next problem will be steering as the front wheels are always hopping off the deck, has anyone weighted the front yet?.
  9. Just wondering if anyone bashes their cars anywhere in the Essex area?,know there used to be people up at lakeside, does this still go on?.
  10. Fantastic,it sounds like a motocross bike.
  11. Thanks for the replies, haven't seen it on modelsport yet, will keep my eyes peeled.
  12. Hello,I've Been looking at the HPI Savage 2350 Flux,but can't see a UK supplier,are these grey import only?,or does anyone know of a decent UK supplier?.If not a viable 1/8th scale alternative,must be electric and I already have a E Revo.cheers
  13. My sticky pad failed as well, you have a lot more chrome left on your rims than mine lol
  14. Not yet,the only ones ive seen have been the T bones, which are only available in the states at present,so might improvise and have a go at making some form of larger motor protector/skid plate for the rear, and a wider front bumper.A couple of bum 1st landings have seen the motor get grazed and the pinion dislodge,so this obviously needs something a bit more substantial to protect it.
  15. 3s is chicken oriental,30 mph drive bys on a steady throttle, then a quick squeeze of the trigger and it's front end skyward, great fun, driving it off road is a problem as it struggles to turn due to not having the wheels on the floor lol.
  16. Got mine about 3 weeks ago,a few teething problems which are now sorted. What a car, especially on 2 or 3s,absolutely mental and bashes brilliantly,25 mins on 2s which is great and certainly more controllable than the 11.1v pack.Looking forward to getting out on Sunday for a run with it,enjoy yours.
  17. 41, old & fat enough to know better, and about 29 years on from when i first got into this hobby, and i do remember the Sand scorcher 1st time round .
