After almost 5 years, finally got rid of the old 75 below. Trusty old car but not the kind of thing for trusting everyday when it's your only way to work. Now replaced with brand new Jaguar XF Sportbrake 250 Petrol. Wee bit of a step up as they say!

Definitely interested in the water cooling setup Ref the cooler. Only reason i've stuck with the castle one is it runs from the 2s LiPo i have for all the RX stuff and servo. A more powerful fan means another LiPo. Toss up between that and the complications/reward of the water cooling

Out of interest, what makes are the motors you have tried?

I'm on an 800kv tenshock. 17t Pinion. Its not boiling, cant really touch it for more than a few secs and thats with a castle blower. Trying to source some kind of heat sink that I can add the fans on to. Unsure if this might be better.. Another option I thought was just to watercool it. Tonnes of space on the chassis. But probably more hassle than its worth. I can confirm its still working beautifully Had it out today! You're welcome to visit it anytime

Theres no need for that question Just got to figure out a way to keep the motor temp down or possibly a lower kv motor as its already as hot as i'd like on 8s.

Random update.... Been bashing it as the SC for a good while now. Not been out much lately as my LiPos have started going. Got two 4s left which are about a year old now (which are the newest). Not complaining as they do get a hard life running 8s constantly. Also bagged an upgrade on the ESC front.... I hope. I've bought it not working. Taking the chance but i'm fairly confident it can be repaired. Thinking its just the Caps have gone and hopefully the diode has done its job and protected the rest. its en route to the Czech Republic now so hopefully find out in a couple of weeks. If all is good i should have managed to get a 400a 15s MGM on the cheap. So here's hoping! If it is good news i'll invest in some more LiPo's and get the thing running very swiftly....

Set of 4 5ive Mini Driveshafts. Swapped out as I have converted the car back to a SC. Very little wear on the pins and ends. All straight as can be seen in the pic where they are all lined up! £40 Posted. Full set of Turnbuckles for 5ive Mini. Excellent Condition £18 Posted Set of 5ive Mini Lower Arms. Again removed from the car as its now a SC. Couple of light scuffs on two of the arms, but almost new apart from that. £SOLD

Built this up for someone but the deal fell through so it is up for grabs. Hong Nor 1/8 Buggy. Has all the alloy parts including CNC knuckles, Braces, Shock Towers, Carbon Top Plate and Big Bore Shocks. All driveshafts are CVDs, centre and outdrives. Chassis is in good condition with scraping only to the rear Currently has a small wing fitted but have big ones which i can swap for too. Extra spares available if wanted. £95 posted.

MGM Compro ESC. This is a 25035-3 Pro. Has all the extra features fitted, including signal lights, data logging and extra capacitors. It is rated for 250a constant with 300a burst on 2-8s LiPo. I get around 10-15 mins on 5000mah packs in my 5ive. This is with a mixture of full throttle over fields and a few slower jumps here and there.
