  1. The HPi tork 2200 is the same motor, but different case. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/hpi-Flux-tork-2200kv-hpi-motor-new-brushless-Motor-BRAND-NEW-/221466755914?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item339072834a
  2. I have a Glamis Uno. Great fun especially on the beach with paddle tyres. The spur gear is prone to melting with the heat from the pinion, so I modified an scx10 slipper clutch to fit and use 32dp gears. I have thought about getting the Kemora rally car, but have so much othe stuff going on it will be sometime yet.
  3. There are people on this planet that should not be allowed to live. Problem is who do we laugh at if they aren't allowed to live?
  4. I have 3 orange rx with no binding problem, so assume it's the rx is faulty.
  5. I have fitted an SCX10 slipper clutch to the Glamis input shaft now, so I can run 32dp spur gears. Basically all it needs is a 1.5mm hole, 25mm from the end of the shaft. The spurs are from Associated NTC3. 54 tooth is part no 2266. I also got 52, and 50 tooth spurs.
  6. This one. Should be cheaper elsewhere, but this was the first place I looked. http://www.giantshark.co.uk/product/170362/xerun-150a-sd-brushless-esc-for-1-8-car-
  7. I cant even remember what weight oil I use.. Possibly about 30 weight front and rear. As or spur gears stripping, I ran my Uno yesterday, first time for ages due to the crappy weather and stripped another spur.. I am definitely going to see if I can fit an Axial slipper so I can use 32p gears.
  8. Very similar to the X4, but is a lot cheaper and come with a nicer stick controller. does flips as well and 3 power settings. Red is the cheapest colour. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111252660178?_trksid=p2055120.m1438.l2649&var=410264945035&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  9. Helping hands tool makes things so much easier when soldering. cheap and very useful http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HELPING-HAND-HANDS-FREE-MAGNIFY-MAGNIFYING-GLASS-NEW-/390507262691?pt=UK_Crafts_JewelleryMaking_GL&hash=item5aec0bf2e3
  10. I haven't run mine in a while due to lack of time (and weather), but will be getting out oif the garage sometime. I,m looking at fitting an AXial SCX0 slipper so I can run a 32dp spur. Also should be fitting a Hobbywing SC8 esc to run 4s. As for shocks, I still have the stock ones on, but will look to get something else. I have a few of the Gmade shocks around , so might try them, but the rear ones will need extending somehow.
  11. I tried plastidip on a couple of receivers and even double dipping and working it in with a brush I still got water in. I followed Speedweigands idea of using epoxy resin (Araldite or similar) on a MMP and it runs fine.
  12. UKMitchy on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/user/UKMitchy/videos I dont do a big write up as I just can't be bothered, The video below is almost at 100,000 views, so maybe you guys would like to help get it over the 100k.
  13. I'm not sure what weight oil it uses, the manual doesnt say as far as I recall.
  14. Sorry, dont know how I missed this.., I haven't programmed mine by using the button. The hobbywing program card will work with the esc. somewhere in this thread I posted about this as the esc looks identical to the hobbywing WP80.
  15. I have bought parts from the USA, usually upgrade stuff that is difficult if not impossible to get. I usually use RC planet as they offer a dhl option for delivery. This can sometimes only take 4 or 5 days to arrive and dhl only charge a
  16. 6 to 7 hours. Seriously? Not taking the Mick, but 2 hours at the most. Plenty of good soldering videos on YouTube to help. Also heatshrink the joints. I see people who just wrap tape around them... ffs horrible.
  17. yeah, got to agree. I would rather support a UK busuiness, but if they dont want to even communicate with me then I will go elsewhere. As you said their stuff is great quality, but whats the point if it's not available.
  18. I bought a couple of ground anchors off Radshape's ebay shop back in early December. They had not arrived before Christmas and after a month of waiting I sent a message and got no reply. I had to open a case and only then did they refund my money. Has anyone esle had problems with them? I bought a chassis off their ebay shop a few months ago and had no problem. The worst part of this is that there has been no communication at all from them.
  19. got to agree with that Si.. . There are quite a few people who give up a lot of their time to run racing, and not forgetting the behind the scenes stuff such as organizing a club, committee meetings, track maintenance, etc....basically if you want more, then do more.. please
  20. I was involved in the running of a club for a while. We had racing on Sundays all year, and Wednesday evenings In the summer from 5 to 8 pm for
  21. I have the 2200kv motor and an xerun 150A esc. It runs really well. Personally I think the 1965 is a bit underpowered.
  22. I dont storage charge unless the battery is not going to be used for over a week.
  23. if you are charging it as nimh you may over charge it unless you can set the cut off voltage on the charger. That and are you balancing it?
  24. Can you just charge through the 4 pin connector which is the balance plug? Set the charger to balance charge to do that I think. You may need an adapter for that. Only reason i thought of that is because my Glamis Uno came with a charger that only had a balance port on it. Never used it though as I use my normal charger through the discharge leads
