  1. You can get plugs off ebay cheap enough. I bought mine from a chainsaw parts place near stoke for
  2. A big syringe is ideal for measuring out your oil http://www.amazon.co.uk/Large-Plastic-Syringe-plastic-tubing/dp/B009LEEOVW Best thing to do with a clone is strip it down and rebuild it anyway mate!
  3. Bump. This isnt the usual tat that has been thrashed to death. Will make a cracking car to add to your collection or if you are thinking of getting into petrol.
  4. What you got on it now? 4wd kit is one of the best upgrades you can do, it totally transforms the handling.
  5. FG Marder for sale. Body shell in very good condition, 26cc Zenoah engine, ally shocks recently refurbed, wheelie bar. This car has been owned by an enthusiast for years and is in excellent condition. Asking for
  6. Whilst its off the road get your loctite out and give it the once over to make sure nothing else falls off!!
  7. Sway bars are something you need to try for yourself. How they benefit you (or not) depends on your driving style and the ground you run on and you can only find this out by fitting them and seeing what difference it makes. One thing I would say though is make sure your car is set up properly and the geometry, shocks etc are as good as they can be for where you run. You may find with a well sorted car that it handles better and doesnt need the sway bars. Getting your shock right will play a big part, too stiff and it will bounce around all over the place, too soft and they wont react quickly enough, its trial & error but well worth spending the time getting it right.
  8. Sounds nasty. Best of luck with the recovery.
  9. The Losi does look decent. Not sure I could sneak 1 past the wife unless I could convince her its just a new bodyshell on 1 of my FG's
  10. No worries Chad, I will keep them coming!!
  11. Yes great car, different chassis though!
  12. An alternative to cutting the driver out is turn it into a marder, pajero, stadium truck, monster truck, beetle or monster beetle........the combinations are endless with these cars! Great cars, easy to work on, very reliable even in standard form and spares are widely available at a very reasonable price. I cant see any reason not to buy it!
  13. Yes sorry, some sets arent compatible with the kill switches even though they are 2.4ghz and 3ch. Flysky sets are ok though from memory. Edit: just checked on the compatibility chart........ http://www.killerrc.com/radio-kill-switch-compatibility-chart/
  14. The tx has to be compatible with the superbee. Which set did you buy?
  15. Did the rough surface give the novice drivers more of a chance or did it make the more experienced seasoned racers stand out from the crowd with the right set up being more important?
  16. Ive seen the videos on facebook, it looked like a tough track, pretty cut up and bumpy as hell!
  17. Forgot to add, the pre-filter is FG part no 6513 http://www.rossmod.co.uk/p/20260/FG-Foam-preliminary-filter-1pce-[06513]
  18. As above, standard HPI or the standard FG filter is decent enough..........or you can do like I did and get an FG foam pre-filter for less than a fiver, oil it with filter oil and stick it over the K&N filter. The filter oil is red so you can see you have covered the white foam........
  19. That is my original marder btw. It only had a couple of tanks through it when I bought it and I have kept it like that, soon to be passed to my son. I added the front cable brakes, x can exhaust (f'in loud!), front anti roll bar and layshaft tuning brake. Its been really reliable even with everything plastic inc engine mounts and its quick enough with the stock zen 26cc. This is the partial strip down to straighten the chassis........
  20. It was this was clean cos it was after a rebuild after I had smashed it up lol!! I have a screw list somewhere. I bought 20 of each from orbital fasteners and it came to about
  21. I dont know the set up of your car but if your brakes are crap it could be your servo not being powerful enough or your radio tray flexing under braking which loses some of the servo travel and therefore power at your brakes. If you have a plastic radio tray you can add an extra post to stop the flexing. There are various ways of doing it but I just used an M6x50 countersink screw, nuts & washers, simple enough.
  22. Electrical connector blocks do exactly the same job........
  23. Good point on the beetle shell, it does tend to roll back onto its wheels!
  24. As trip says aluminium tape works fine. The exhaust on my marder touches the roll cage and melted it slightly so I have wrapped it with ally foil tape and its been fine since. You can buy it from screwfix. http://m.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-aluminium-foil-tape-48mm-x-50m/35529?filtered=trues
