  1. Yep know the logic but means further to fall. Lol
  2. Yeah will do Danny, and yeah I know what you mean Leon, but I reckon if I can fly this sucker upside down inside out then I won't get the change of undercrackers like I need now with flying the 500 more then 10ft above the ground.
  3. Hahaha, gotta love the little beastie... thing is I can fly this little monster far better then I can my 450 or 500, nerves are a wonder thing......NOT.
  4. hi all, Thought i would share with you this little gem of a find.... http://www.fast-lad.co.uk/store/xtreme_productions_carbon_fibre_frame_130x_b130x26-p-23267.html had to order one and see...... and wow what an improvement in build quality, complete with all the screws needed, so didnt even have to strip the original for them. havent put everything together as yet but xtreme have really thought about the common problems from the standard one, 1st you now have a alloy motor mount that can slide inside the frame allowing a perfect gear mesh, 2nd you now have plates over the mainshaft bearings so you no longer need to split the frame to access them 3rd, the front servo board slots in at the bottom and held by 2 screws at the top, even provided are washers to hold servo board away from bevel gear, no more burnt out fets and again no need to split frame, 4th, cyclic are now inside frame giving more protection, 5th, canopy mounting hole is slightly further forward, giving more room inside the canopy for the lipo. will build soon but waiting on a auto rotation maingear 1st, but i thought i would share this with all you 130x owners, well done xtreme for not trying to rip us off with just bling and actually listening to the common probs with the standard frame
  5. the tail spins rd, have u got it in rate mode or head buddy?. If u put the settings from the 450 in I think it tells u to use f-flite switch. U need to set 1 to around 70% and below that around 40% try the rudder ifv u release the stick and it stays there that's what u fly with but if you release the rudder and it returns the the middle u need to flick f-flite switch. That's why its spinning because tail has nothing to fight against if its returning to center of slider.
  6. Yes eventually you will change the pitch and throttle curves, put dx6i at 50%, remember to unplug the motor from the esc very important, and set and adjust your blades to 0% on the gauge, all being well at bottom stick should have around -12% and top stick +12. But this is where it gets more complicated, you wont want this for normal flying because what it means if if you panic your reaction is to drop the throttle this will then mean you put -12% on it and drive it into the ground. matching your curves is simple enough, you want to get the best from your motor, its no good trying to take off if your motor is only 25% spin and you blades are +pitch, its all about wind resistance against the blades, that's why you need to match curves. likewise if the motors spinning at 100% and your still in - pitch all your doing is draining your battery, but as a after thought you need a high head speed for the gyro to work and hold the tail.
  7. only been flying for about a month so be kind pls as its a 130x in a confined space......
  8. Thanks guys, the story goes like this, I picked up a fbl one. Cheap no 3gx or beastx etc. that's meant to be all she needs, I'm fairly new to it all but I can fly a 130x in circuits with the occasional crash if I pyro the tail. Lol the 450 has some parts I don't like I.e blue tail boom, blue skids etc. and could do with a modern canopy.... I chose it for 2 reasons 1 cheap........
  9. Haha no it not a trick question, I just wondered as I bought a 450 sport v2 but it needs some parts and if I type in that model on places like fleabay it doesn't really return any results. soo that's why I asked as I know its an older model so I thought the parts may be hard to come by, when you say parts are interchangable does that mean with any trex 450 model?. If so what's the diff between sport, pro, v2 etc.
  10. Hi everyone, just wondering where I can get parts for a trex 450 sport. or what parts are interchangable. I.e tail boom, side plates etc. any help pls
  11. SOLD.....SOLD......SOLD.

    MSR-X

Boxed, no charger but has 2 lipos, tx, new fiberglass canopy upgraded skids, rakon head, swash and blade grips, extended tail boom, replaced motor Great little learning heli, looking for
  13. NO TX OR LIPOS BNF only. 5 lipo,s old, no crashes only ever hovered, complete with original box and original spares, only bad point is a small nic in canopy, this happened when canopy was off heli and i dropped my screwdriver on it...... DUH want to put the funds towards something else
  14. I bought a cheapo mode 1 dx6i a while back
  15. Well I guess I've got the bug for it now. Started out with a hubsan x4, then progressed to a msrx, then sim, then trex 500 and now blade 450 3d. Duh..... really am "all the gear and no idea" now. But I always find an excuse why I needed them....... gotta love them......
  16. You drop the gain on your heli not via the dx6i. simple to do fella just make sure you have 100% throttle programmed at top stick on your dx6i, then move stick to this position, and plug your heli in, it will after about 3-6 seconds have a series of red, green, blue flashig lights on the main board, now with right stick move down and release and the light will change to red. Move down and release light will be green, move down and release light will be blue, and that's the one for your gain. move right stick left to lower gain or right to add. its got 20 gain settings in total, 10 lower and 10 higher. you can reset everything to by holding throttle stick whilst still at 100% to the right for 5seconds, then lights will all change to a series of multi coloured flashes. anyway when you have lowered the gain I suggest one step at a time, unplug heli drop your throttle stick down, engage throttle hold and plug heli back in. repeat as necessary.
  17. thats the only thing i like about the 130 is the pick up put down appeal of it, backyard flyer whereas the 500 is not so easy by the time you pack it up dive 10 miles for a public flying area unpack, set up spool up kack your pants hover for 4mins pack up go home, and then sit waiting for lipo to charge for 1-2hrs ready to go again and by then its raining lol
  18. Well not tried since. But realised trying to fly it in wrong mode, I have hovered it without training gear knees knocking and all.... Lol but its trying to find the time what with work, kids and UK weather. bit of more then I can chew with the 500 but I'll get there ONE DAY....
  19. haha danny pics...... 500... 130x piece of ****... size doesnt matter... 130x is a bit bruised and battered, needing new skids, tail boom, and rear fin oh well more to the money pit.....
  20. Thanks for the replies peeps. I have got a 500 but still getting my head rd it tbh so I was kinda using the 130x as a trainer really, I figured if I can save the 130x from pilot errors id feel more confident in flying the 500, but the 130x is so damn frustrating as when I crash it always ask myself how did that happen when on the SIM I can save it more then I loose it. tried really concentrating and being more devil may care attitude towards it with same result. frustating....... Very!!!
  21. Getting really fed up with the 130x now tbh. bought a 2nd hand bog standard off the shelf heli, but after a couple of wks realised it had the crappy mainboard. can I send it back to hh? Anyway found a fix on YouTube using subtrims not brilliant but it works. as a relative newbie crashes came thick and fast resulting in numerous breakages and resulting upgrades. rakon swash loved it but broke it. Micro heli not so good as seems heavy especially with dfc arms. Seems to drop really quickly as throttle dropped so ran 0.80.80.80.80 but then pitch wasn't brilliant running now 40.60.80.90.100 but still seems to drop fast. anyway then upgraded tail servo to the Ds one after crashed servo. Result forever trying to get it to stop wagging or spinning on spool up/down. On power down descent tail flicks left and up save power up tail drives right. then upgraded metal drive and the new metal tail gears resulting in coffee grinder noise. So bought carbon tt rod rubbish don't bother as they rd off on cogs!!. Broke tail grips so upgraded to micro heli wieghted ones think they are def positive upgrade as no issues. and managed to break 3 booms and 2 fins. And that's using throttle hold. total cost of upgrades......
  22. Sorry hh mode I wanted lol blast it. But I know which one it is at least now lol
