  1. another fun day out with 3 forum members. Will be going out again on Sat or Sunday of Easter weekend, let me know if you fancy joining us.
  2. Have bought two fly sky, and amazing value. Huge range as well.
  3. Thanks m0th. Really helpful. Will contact them shortly.
  4. You are right Daz, and 90% of the time we do just fix our own breakages and troubleshoot our own problems. However we are limited on spare time for this hobby and enjoy it tremendously. We are not by any means flush with cash, but we have very demanding jobs and limited time to troubleshoot for hours on end. If it means doing another hours graft in the office to earn the money needed for the repair, it is the simpler option for us. Like I said though, most of the time we repair our own bits, which is very satisfying, but other times, we just want to go out for a bash with our friends and rather spend the money to assure us of a smooth and fun afternoon with the cars. Plus it feels good giving a small business who repairs things like this a bit of our business, to keep them going. God knows the little independants give us so much advice and mentor-ship, least we can do to keep them going. So if anyone knows a good place, please let us know. Thanks for your post Daz.

I have a 10 month old trophy 3.5, needs a new fuel tank and pull starter probably on last few months, pm me with offer.
  6. Sup forum, Anyone know a good Nitro Repair place in or around bucks? Pitstop RC in MK does not seem to be open any more, and friends and I are in the market for a new repair shop to help us when we get out of our depth. Any recommendations? Cheers Kiz Aylesbury
  7. I found the powerHD products great value for money.
  8. I have a Thunder Tiger BX downstairs that had a crash. Can't justify repairing it when I prefer driving my HPI around. Contact me if you ever needs parts. Seems a waste to let it rust. broke it last month, had about gallon and half through it. I ran 16% only, and it still went like crazy, such a fast little car.
  9. wicked, a lot to process there. Will let you know what I buy and many thanks for all the great tips.
  10. Hi all, Friend and I have a pair of HPI Trophy 3.5 with AM 27hz radios. We both experience a jittery steering and servo problem from time to time, most days its fine, and we never actually do anything to resolve the problem, other than leave it off a day. Now my first thought is static or interferences, but I remove all batteries fairly promptly from RX when it happens, and no matter the charge, or how long they have been outside the RX, still happens on days it wants to happen on. Now it never seems to have happened with both of us at the same time, so interference is possible, but we are on similar bands. Also if I am out bashing and it happens, then when I get home (3-4 miles away) its same symptoms. So my troubleshooting suggests either tx or rx issue, perhaps something internal to the parts is loose or dirty. I made sure not to move the car at all last night, and plugged battery in to rx this morning and it steers fairly well. SOOOO, to the point, I am thinking of replacing the whole radio set with 2.4ghz to hopefully reduce conflict at tracks, as well as sort this weird radio problem out. Any suggestions at some different price points? What kind of money should I spend for something that is decent at entry level price point? Also mid priced? I am not pro, so no need to suggest best of the best, just don't have the money for it. any help would be appreciated.

  14. Hi Spider, We are going up on Sunday 19th. Weather forecast shows mostly sunny and up to 20 degrees. Will have a few friends along who I am looking to entice in to the hobby. More than welcome to come along and join us if you like. Same to anyone looking for a bashing sesh between Oxford, Milton Keynes and Watford. Aylesbury, parking right next to the construction site, and nice big empty car park that never gets used for speed and tuning. email me if you want more details, forum username @gmail.com
