  1. Roy from the Nook used to make arms like that, the shocks are from a Marder/Leopard race - looks like it could do with a freshen up but as most of it looks like it's there, could be a half decent car if the price is right.
  2. Use this for a proper job. http://www.loctite.co.uk/loctite-4087.htm?nodeid=8802625486849
  3. Speak to Ian on the web site land line number before noon - he runs his dyno after that and doesn't answer the phone. or email him.
  4. Most racers sell their engines at the end of the season, most have been serviced on a regular basis, so are a good buy in most cases. Have a look at the BRCA LSOR facebook page, ask questions and see what you find.
  5. I race with oddified engines and I wouldn't have anything else as a gift. But for what you're doing with it In a marder, I'd have a standard 23 geared correctly with touring car wheels for on road/car park use or a standard 26 for off road. Don't believe all the hype you read. Loud isn't fast - bigger 27,29,32 isn't always better. Control, set up and reliability are far more important than speed.
  6. The 4wd Mini (out of the box) class will take off bug time this year in the BRCA national and will continue to grow at the Brookland club - great inexpensive racig even in poor conditions.
  7. Cheers dude I'll let him know.
  8. A mate at work has bought a shenqui buggy/mt. Will an fg marder large alloy engine mount fit?. Cheers.

As you might be aware, T2M has bought out FG Modellsport. T2M are developing new cars which will be released at the Nuremburg toy fair in February. With regards to spares, Hobbythek/RC Car online in Germany are still the best to get spares from, they answer emails & calls in English which is always a bonus PLUS there is no risk of imports tax like you see from the USA. Freeprawn racing, Contrast racing UK carry spares and can order stuff if you want it and ross mods still stock some bits too. For racing in the UK....... Off road, see me trackside on road inc the new 4wd mini class, see Mark Grant from Contrast racing UK.

Evening all, what do you neex to know bud.
  11. You get what you pay for bud. Yes, all servos will break if they're abused (water maladjustment or stressed) but it's worth investing in decent gear, setting it up correctly and protecting it.
  12. Those aren't FG shocks. I've never had any issues with leaking shocks on my FG cars. Using genuine parts, good oil and making them work properly will all help.
  13. In theory, if it's a 6v battery then it should be around 6v if it's charged. Check the other things first to see what the problem is.
  14. Disconnect the servo and try it, then try to move the steering by the linkage to make sure it's free.
  15. A life time warranty sounds very dubious on any RC related item - I'm guessing the small print will read "lifetime warranty will be honoured while the item is still in its wrapper and within 100yrds of the shop"
  16. There is no such stuff as standard hydraulic brake fluid. You should always use what the brake manufacturer recommends or as Dave say, it will ruin the seals. What makes are the hydraulic brakes you have? The most common is the green looking fluid in HARM/MECATEC or the Magura brakes - some say that it's Citroen hydraulic fluid (LHM) but I don't know anyone who has found that to be 100% correct. For the small amount you need, you'd be as well just buying a small pot from the manufacurer or dealer.
  17. This is before the madness of the European championship in Austria.
  18. Off to Pickering RC track this weekend for what I think will be a belting time for everyone. Details are here. http://www.pickeringrctrack.co.uk/index.html Racing on natural surfaces is brillinant.
  19. I think you need the nitro section buddy, I'm sure they can help you out better than in this forum.
