  1. losi have plastic supsion cups and plastic rod ends,if you race then these are the weak bit,but losi sell you a lovely kit for £40 ,why they cant inculde it on the eu,{losi greed} and shims the gearboxes,if you get to much play in the rear diff{main culprit}it will take out the diff and gearbox, what you got nitro or brushless?
  2. just after run oil,10 mins is great wish i could get that round a race track, just dont lean off to far,if you aint raceing you wont notice the extra car {rc}lenght your get down a straight,
  3. ? all you need to do is replace the bearings, clean all the shafts and change the oil in the diffs, losi say 5F 7c 2r,but try 5f 5c and 2 r,you might perfer the better on power handling.unless you broke bits,it only cost you the oil,if everything need rebuilding you left it to long, losi are cheap so to spend £145 on spares {the price of a roller}it wouldnt run now, strip and rebuild to maintain it and not have it break or blow a diff,i race and service the diffs shocks every 3 meetings as well as cleaning the drive shafts and full clean every race and pratise,so bearings £13 whole set and some oils, should be able to service for about £20
  4. heres the msuk review on the sts 30,but like i say i had no airleak problems, or the sts28 which is now the 30,under user review,i got the race one without the pullstart, love it wish there let me race at my club, but it my bashing motor
  5. you seen me out with grandaughter jesse he just done her a shell,it excellent,it going to be fun raceing it at slough bright pink all the stickers made from magazines{with the clear glue}pink wheels and a pink spoiler, should put the rest of them of in the race, well thats the plan
  6. nice one james, didnt know you where in to the sparying too?i am giveing johnny a shell to do for me after payday, think it going to be a bob marley tribute well it will if he gets his way
  7. sts30 pure power, solid engine, only prop air leaks, but mine been no trouble, completely over powers my buggy on a 17t,i love to{might} drill the chassis so i can get a 22t in because they just pull anything, true the revs wont out rev a sports 21,but gearing up means it beats it of the line and all the way into the distance
  8. houses near the school?that looks another place, school out sat sun and after 5.30 weekdays
  9. put your track right by the a road motorway, the road help drown the sound of nitros, where right next to the m4 and it help mask the sound of nitros,if the resident kick up a fuss there properley win, hope to vist your track when your up and running, and put a 10 am nitro start,if you start wakeing people up on sun and sat, they get on the phone.best of luck
  10. crime fighters or aka rule slough track, sub cultures and bow ties ok to,think it going to be to wet this weekend,so even spikes will do,you get big puddles on the coner, race weekends they spike these puddles, but hope it dry and i get down there sunday
  11. it was lovely on sat afternoon, but if it raining hard you get big puddles, there soak your car to bits if you hit them ,wet airfilter ect,so watch the weather, and since it clay /mud it be a big clean up,hey jev geting some laps in before the 2nd of oct?
  12. i race nitro and it true the rtr engines can be hard to tune,ie get a novairossi rb,alhpa, and they tend to stay in tune{that why we pay the extra}it all money ,with nitro but i love the roar,if you go nitro get some to show your lad how to run them,or your £ could end up sitting in the corner for ever.or if you got a local buggy club go down there and see them, there usally buggys for sale, and people who could help with engine tuning
  13. maybe go a little extra £ and get a hyper rtr, then you got a warrenty,if something major goes wrong,
  14. hong nor another good starter buggy, very strong, just be carefull with nitro engine if you buy used, try to see it running if you havent used nitro before and if you got a local model shop, see there stock, they can usally give you good advice on what they sell, and learn to maintain, buggys will take abuse, but they need stripping and cleaning regular or they can become unreiable very quickly,so get a good set of tools, both buggys you mention, will handle any surface so dont worry,i perfer 1/8 buggys because more common parts and lots of aftermarket engines and you can race them at tracks,if your son wants
  15. mav sent me one text, his message box is full in msuk,i told him to check the wireing,i spent 3 hours on thursday with mav useing the box,mav you **** up everything you touch, but bull****ing about texts and phone calls on the forum, everyone who met me make your own mind up,because i cant be bothered with bull****ers, and he never bought form a forum add,IF YOU REALLY HAD OF PHONED ME I MIGHT OF GIVEN YOU A REFUND,BUT YOU CHOSSE TO SLAG ME OFF IN PUBLIC AND HIT THE BOX ECT,SO YOUR GET **** ALL ,WHEN IT WENT WRONG YOU HAD A MOBILE AT THE PADDOCK,YOU DIDNT RING,SORRY TO ANY ONE FROM THE NHB YOU HAD TO BE INVOLED IN THIS,BUT YOU KNOW HE SLAGED EVERYONE OFF ABOUT THE HYPER7 THE WHOLE THINGS A JOKE,SO NOW IT MY TURN
  16. you got a aftermarket esc?i found the tamiya one couldnt handle a 15t motor, got a unlimted brushed esc and it went well, and look on ebay you get some 9t brushed motors on there and some cheap brushed esc
  17. well make sure you got it all ball raced,i used teflons, that the best hop up for speed ,tamiyas come with plastic ones, change the middle shaft to carbon or alloy and gear it down, your get more revs than gearing up,i geared it up frist and it was to heavy to pull, geared it down and it flew yeah 19t or 18t for the gearing
  18. nice one chaps, cant wait, for details, saw your lot at the msuk jam, this sounds fun
  19. put a 15t in mine flew and only
