  1. there was a news report about this before x mas, thousands of people were given the wrong tax codes, and loads ended up under paying without realiseing, a lucky few over paid and get rebates instead. the funny thing was when you looked at the amounts under and over against the over payers and underpayers the goverment barely gains anything from it lol, but they have to correct the mistakes made, it seems stupid i know, could be worse - a lot of people got there letters the week before xmas - no that would just spoli everything would it not.
  2. Surely you can just tell your insurance company the details and just say you witnessed it and they drive off but could not stop them / attract there attention, then they will do the leg work for you. if you got the reg and make and colour its going to be hard for the other party to dispute it lol
  3. Hi guys, i know this is a long shot but im after some uncut / full length front body posts for my tamiya M01 mini, i cut mine down and now want to raise the body but cant. Can any body help me please?????

  6. just checked what pinion it has, it was running 20t pinion, would this be ok then?
  7. great, cant wait to get this back on the road, its been in a dusty cuboard for far to long lol, what differance do the pinions ratios make?
  8. hi guys i am after a new motor, pref brushless for my m01 mini, was looking at this one on e-bay Hobbywing 3in1 Ezrun 9T RC brushless Motor + 35A ESC V2 any thoughts on it?. thanks

  10. hi guys after a bit of advice, running my truck around i found the standard setup for the shocks leaves a little to be desired. running the truck as it comes out of the box it seems to sit rather low at the rear so i would the adjusters on the shocks nearly all the way down which gave a much improved ride height. but this had a unexpected affect of turning the truck into a bit of a wheelie monster, which was great until it went head first into a curb and broke a lot of the front end - you cant steer when the wheels are not on the ground lol. so i reset the spring height to stock which cured the wheelies but means the chassis is constanley clipping the ground and stones and smacks it quite hard on small jumps. due to the wheeliing and the clipping the ground im going to need a new battery box soon lol, as there are different mountings on the arms and towers i was looking for any ideas on setups, or changes to the shocks as they have different parts included in the box when i had it. any ideas guys?
  11. figured it out, receiver battery was running low, all sorted now
  12. it doesnt do it when running normal, every thing a ok then, just when failsafe does what it supposed to do steering servo has a fit
  13. Right, not sure whats going on here so heres what going on The other weekend out with me firestorm and had big crash - front brace smashed, frame head smashed and upper deck completely banna shaped. Its all back together now which is great but i think my fastrax failsafe has gone mad lol when crashed the two parts of the casing flew apart but got them both so thought no probs stick it/ clip it back together all good - it was until i tested it, when you set it all ok butwhen test ie switch tx off the failsafe does its job but the steering servo also starts twitching left and right , then goes to full lock sometimes. all the electrics work fine when failsafe not acctivated ie tx off so i presume it the failsafe affecting it but how? everything worked fine before the crash any ideas guys?
  14. you can get alloy upgrades, integy from america do loads of bits and you can find the odd thing hear and there in the uk, unfortuantly it seems that for the best choice americas the best place to look , can work out cheaper sometimes, i been looking at upgraded alloy front brace, its about 20 quid over here, you can get it from america for about the same price as the standard hpi part - 3-4 quid lol, but then u have to a bit more for postage etc but if u try u can get things cheaper that way.
  15. yeah defo agree the bulkhead frame is weak, i know its not design for head on impacts but because it snapped it trasfers all the load to the top deck which at the point of attachment is narrow and has holes in it so less strength, my top deck went into a big z shape and when i flattened it out it was still twisted. the main chassis plate is quite alot wider where it attaches and seems thicker and stronger, was thinking off making a alloy skid plate that extends back to the main chasssis which would spread the load better i think. any views guys?
  16. I was looking at the integy stuff as i trashed the front end completely last sunday, front bulkhead snapped, screws bent, and top deck bent into a z shapped thing lol. even my failsafe exploded on impact, the top deck i tried to flatten but its shrunk on one side and stretched on the other so nowt lines up proper. was considering the bumper so what would you recomened for some crash protection.
  17. When you get it make sure everything tight and adjusted correctly, on mine the slipper clutch was so slack that it would go around slow speed for break in ok but when i started to use more throttle the engine would rev up but the speed would only slightly improve, when i checked it if you backed the nut off from the adjuster it only took one turn to make it stop toucjing the adjuster, you coud spin it by finger preasure if you hold the engine still lol. set it up as per instructions and it loads tighter now. just got to test it now.
  18. they dont look like directional / rotational tyres, ie arrowed, look like asymmetrical tyres ie they have and outside and inside, usually they marked up with outside and inside so you just fit them with the outside out. i used to be a tyre fitter so have a bit of experiance in these things, if they dont have any markings at all the best you can do is fit them all the same way ie the same pattern to the outside edge.
  19. Stop looking for online shops, and try your yellow pages etc, these bound to be a metel stockist somewhere nearby, if you go round and see them they might have an offcut or be able to cut a piece off for you, prob be cheaper and easier, you never know may get it free if its a offcut they cant use. try speak to foreman or similar as they will be better able to deal with what you want as they deal with it as opposed to sales staff who are only interested in big sales etc. you can get alsorts for free if only ask nicely ..
  20. +1 got that same one for my firestorm, easy to set up, nice and compact.
