  4. Heres a few of my models
  5. or if you can stretch your budget then this is a great little plane http://alshobbies.com/shop/lookupstock.php?pc=82023 also the original champ I said in my first post is also on als hobbies for cheaper £60! rtf the champ s + is brushless so more power and has safe so just let go of the sticks and its self levels. Perfect if your learning
  6. its small but this is what I learnt to fly with.http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/74404/ everything you need in the box. get these batteries http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__34652__Turnigy_nano_tech_160mah_1S_25_40C_Lipo_UK_Warehouse_.html great for shoving in the foot well of the car and go fly where you like
  7. great choice for a first plane. I had the old hobbyzone champ (little yellow one) absolutely loved it. Ended up more ca than plane in the end but it helped me out in leaps and bounds
  8. It'll be fine with a bit of ca and time. If I were you id get a trainer plane like a high winged bird. Warbirds are a little tricky especially for a first plane. maybe look at a same size cub or similar. my first little plane was a hobbyzone champ and it helped me a lot with orientation and such. then I went up to a wot 4 foam-e then I had a whole fleet of warbirds before I knew it me109's ,corsairs, spits, t28 Trojan then I went onto biplanes. all great fun.
  9. couple of links with specs.... cub....http://www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=45950 sbach 342 http://www.parkzone.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFLU4950
  10. Both Brand new in box never flown. Only been bound to check motor and all surfaces. Both will be bnf and will include an extra brand new 300mah nano tech battery to get you going. Carbon cub £85 posted sbach 342 £70 posted or maybe up for a swap for car maybe? youll need 5 channels for the cub as it has flaps
  11. Hello everyone. My names Pete and I'm just starting out AGAIN in rc cars/trucks! . I've just bought myself a little losi/vaterra desert truck. Had a good look around and for the money and wanting brushless this looked to be a good little option. I mainly fly heli's and fixed wing but wanted something fun for the unflyable days . anyway......thanks for having me
  12. for a losi 1/14 mini desert truck. have a few ideas for it plus I've looked everywhere on the standard esc spec and found zip! got some 2s lipos from hobbyking too for it. Goes like stink now great little car for getting back into the hobby and not forking out a fortune!
  13. after around the 14 minute mark on mine the cars lvc will cut in. The car will suddenly stop for a few seconds. Ive been caught out a couple of times and carried on afterwards thinking I was just out of range but it was the lvc saying no more. I give the car a little breather before sticking another lipo in and blasting around
  14. running this little setup with the bigger pinion and matched spur ive managed to get it going quick enough to pull the foam tyres off the wheels going at it!! think ill need to invest in some rubber ones off ebay maybe
  15. done a little testing at first. I managed 20 minutes on one doing circuits and not at full throttle all the time. at full tilt constant then your looking at 14 mins at best without draining the cell below 3.7v. The only way I check is when I plug it into my charger and it tells me the cells voltage. Not sue if you can get a one call voltage checker. The lvc on the car is fairly accurate at telling when its done. You just have to keep a close eye on the car when your getting close to empty.
  16. ive got another 1s battery. Its a 300mah from the next size up heli. The blade mcpx. Got loads of em lying around. Slightly different connector but 300mah and there 45c!......here http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__37565__Turnigy_nano_tech_300mah_1S_45C_Lipo_Pack_Suits_FBL100_and_Blade_mCPx_UK_Warehouse_.html. ill have a look see if I can find the connector
  17. this is the only female connectors I could find from hobbyking but for a couple of pounds if you've got and other micros lying around.....maybe another lipo conversion!! http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__31812__2_Pin_6_x_Pico_Plug_Charging_Set_Eflite_compatible_UK_Warehouse_.html
  18. here you go....http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__34652__Turnigy_nano_tech_160mah_1S_25_40C_Lipo_UK_Warehouse_.html I had a connector lying around from my rc helis so I just soldered that on the board and off I went . the body sits a little higher but I can live with that for the run times I'm getting!
  19. mine started doing this. Turned out that the lvc wasn't working so my battery was soon duff. Pulled it out and soldered on a 1s connector for the nano tech batteries and I'm getting around 14 minutes run time on it now . motors nice and cool after too
  20. excellent condition. hasn't actually seen dirt so near enough new! completely stock 27mhz hitec rx. hitec servos. has original twin detonator shell painted very badly with paint chipping off now but no splits or dings in it. reduced price £40 posted!
