  1. right I'm decided now I'm going for this ....https://www.modelsport.co.uk/hobbywing-ezrun-3652sl-4000kv-g2-brushless-motor/rc-car-products/407498 and this.....https://www.modelsport.co.uk/hobbywing-ezrun-max10-sct-120a-speed-controller/rc-car-products/405158 going for the 120a as my theory is it'll be better capable of handling the 4000kv with 3s with a bit more ease than the 60a max10. only hoping there! getting this first though....https://www.modelsport.co.uk/0/rc-car-products/406604 thanks again for the help. Much appreciated.
  2. Excellent. Cheers guys. I was looking at the hobbywing sc8 with the 3800kv motor to begin with so I'll probably end up with this. I've run a lot of hobbywing stuff in the past and it's always been good. Seems a pretty definite answer to the traxxas gear then!!
  3. looking at this as an alternative ......https://www.modelsport.co.uk/castle-sidewinder-sct-waterproof-combo-with-1410-3800kv/rc-car-products/381406
  4. Hi all. Could someone tell me if theres a direct replacement driveshaft that'll drop into my sc10? I don't want cvd's and the standard part I can only find the standard ones but they are in America only and I don't fancy paying that amount of shipping! any help would be much appreciated

carnage brushless updated with hobbywing esc and program card so rtr!
  7. Just the absima left now!
  8. was going to do it up but lost interest. Needs new chassis and front bulkhead. Body shell has one split thag can be easily repaired and could do with a buff up but is still good. Also needs one dogbone driveshaft. The rest of it looks fairly new apart from some bolts/screws that have slightly rusted. does come with gearbox cover not in pics. £75 to your front door. new chassis is around 25-30 mark and bulkhead a few quid! 9. went for the ruckus in the end. Better value for money and better parts availability imo
  10. I'm undecided on the 2. Both have there qualities. The only thing I don't like on the granite is the battery tray......not sure if it'll fit a large capacity 3s lipo in there? like the ruckus as the tray is central and longer wheelbase. Don't want 4wd. Either way it will end up brushless, just need a motor as I have a 60a sensored/sensorless esc lying around doing nothing at the mo! its just going to be a basher, something fun to drive any help deciding would be appreciated
  11. Hi, Being a bit cheeky but is £250 the best you can go? Pete
  12. Hi, May be interested in this. Could you tell me if its still in production and can parts be easily sourced for it? cheers, Pete
  13. £90 posted Brand new unused. You will need to break the engine in as its never seen a drop of fuel. Would be a good starter into nitro's. Parts are still available for this model here... http://www.sriremotetoys.co.uk/acme-conquistador-c-2_20_52.html I'll also include a hpi tf-20 transmitter with a rf-30 receiver but you will need to run a hump pack as it only runs on 6v but will convert to 2.4ghz comes with glow starter and charger so all you need is fuel and a bit of patience to break it in! ACME Conquistador Features: 4WD Shaft drive system 1/10 Scale nitro radio controlled buggy Infinity powerful .18 pull start engine Oil-filled shocks Single speed gear box Front and rear bevel differentials 75CC Fuel tank Metal disc brake system Pre-painted and cut body shell Sealed box for protecting receiver system High quality 27MHZ CE approved Radio system with changeable crystals. 14. I've been pondering this exact same problem for over a month and I personally finally settled for the Absima cr3p. Its reasonably priced has enough features on it and the receiver costs are £13!! I got mine here as it has a couple of rx's to get you going http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ABSIMA-3-Channel-RADIO-SYSTEM-CR3P-2-4GHz-2-Receivers-Hpi-Baja-5b-Losi-/332029177739?hash=item4d4e7b2f8b:g:jPAAAOSwgZ1XrdNq
  15. I've just bought one of these and I've got to say it's build quality is second to none. Yes the shell is something of an acquired taste but see what your getting for the money and its a no brainer compared to the others in its class. It also takes 3s standard so should be a blast. Not tried it yet, just picked up a couple of turnigy 2s 5000mah for £30 and away I go I am one happy bunny. The only thing id say if your looking at getting one is the standard servo is not all that great but that's what I've found in most of the cars I've bought. I'm going to get a savox waterproof soon enough
  16. Sounding a bit dim here but what size is the motor? What scale can it be used in? Ta, Pete
  17. do you still have the hkss program card? if so i'll take it Pete
  18. I came across these team orion motors for my 1/18 mt and ive just had the 7500kv delivered but if its anything like the 6000kv its going to be awesome. Think there discontinued but the performance is great and for a tenner!!!!! http://www.insidelinemodels.com/inside-line-shop/electric-motors/micro-brushless-motors/team-orion-vortex-6000-kv-micro-motor-p an alternative to the cheap rubbish on ebay!! Pete
  19. thanks for the advice. Ill get one of those and give it a try
  20. i recently bought a 60a sensored/unsensored from hobbyking. Bought the usb cable and that didn't work. Have now got the replacement to the hkss card and this doesn't want to play ball either. I'm just getting the red power led on the card come up... no menus. if anyone could help id really appreciate it Pete
