  1. Are Mardave still going strong? I know people race them in clubs but there's so much choice of manufacturers now I wondered if they're still around and still an all British firm. Edit: I just Googled them and seems they are still around. http://www.mardave.co.uk/
  2. I quite fancy the Thunder Tiger MT4 G3 Brushless. Not sure how reliable they are or spares availability or anything but they look good on Youtube. http://www.modelsport.co.uk/thunder-tiger-mt4-g3-monster-truck-brushless-blue-/rc-car-products/368010
  3. My car never wheelied either until I tightened up the slipper clutch a tad and then it wheelied everywhere. Backed it off a little now though as don't want it too tight and the wheelies get boring. I run 2S only.
  4. Farage talks a fair bit of nonsense sometimes but on this occasion he's absolutely right. Good on him.
  5. The RS2 can't take a 3S anyway as the ESC can't handle it, so stick to 2S and you'll be fine.
  6. Not sure what engine mods are allowed but any idea what sort of power these race 2cv's are putting out? A standard 602cc one pumped out a mighty 29 bhp according to Wikipedia. Are tuning modifications allowed?
  7. Glad you got it sorted, hope you enjoy it.
  8. I fitted some preload spacers on the RS2 rear shocks to lift it's back end off the floor and it did the trick. I used these Traxxas ones. http://www.modelsport.co.uk/traxxas-spring-pre-load-spacers/rc-car-products/15482
  9. Not strictly true, Modelsport had to break a new RS2 to get me a steering turnbuckle. The spares are slightly sparse at the moment, Schumacher (Speed Passion importers) sell some but again most aren'tin stock. Good truck though.
  10. They all go green if I remember rightly. The included leaflet thing in the box should confirm that. It takes AGES though, around 4 or 5 hours. So I got a proper charger after a while. It's a bummer when you're on a budget but having to wait 5 hours is a major pain so I went for the Core UAC50 which is great.
  11. Can't help you with the lights question but thought I'd say I love those Renault 5 Turbo's on your shelf!
  12. Just looked at mine and the wires are matched to the colour of the small stickers on my ESC, if that's what you mean. But mine doesn't have the same ESC as yours. Take a look here, and look at the picture of the carnage, see if yours is the same. There's a close up pic of your ESC for you to compare. http://www.modelsport.co.uk/ftx-carnage-1-10-4wd-brushless-truggy-rtr/rc-car-products/40397
  13. Did you get 30 mins out of the battery that comes with it? Not bad going if you did, I can't get more than about 25 mins on my Voltz that came with my Edge. Sure it's not just a flat battery?
  14. What's your budget? If it's low I'd suggest the Speed Passion RS2, fast and wheelies easily. If it's higher the HPI Firestorm Flux is fast and strong. If it's very high a HPI Vorza is amusing. Edit: Ignore me, just realised this was posted in For Sales...I assumed you were after a new car.
  15. Cheers for that, good to see someone owns one on here as not heard much from Siege owners. Did you run it on 2 or 3S?
  16. How have you found it? Decent car? Presumably you'll say yes as you're selling one but interested to know from an owners point of view.
  17. A lot of people will immediately tell you to buy a Firestorm but the Siege is worth a look too. I have the Edge which is the buggy version but they're very similar apart from wheels and shocks and other small bits and pieces. The parts list for most items are identical. It's been great for me, never driven it on 3S though, only 2S and it's very fast. You can buy a optional metal diff and idler gears and I think I'd do that before trying 3S. Mine wheelies like mad on 2S (after tightening the slipper clutch slightly) and handles well. The Siege is probably more fun as it's higher. Only thing is the included battery is low on capacity so you might want another lipo to keep you busy as the included one probably only lasts 20 mins. Hope this helps.
  18. Glad someone said that because I do too! Don't really care that it doesn't look like a Focus, just think it's a different shape to a standard SC shell.
