well the Life battery you linked to is a receiver pack not designed to power the model, just looked and all the LiFe packs i can find on hobbyking are for either receiver or transmitters (RX and TX)
they wont put out the power required to run a model, the wires are way to thin for a start.
unfortunately it seems you have suffered what most people have on here regarding lipo's. googled horror stories and only found horror stories and videos. you will find most of those videos they are purposely over charging the lipo so it goes up in flames!
i only know of one case of a lipo going up, a lad on here had it, but i also know of nimh blowing a cell as well!
charging either is a risk just like charging any type of battery.
there is no more risk charging your lipo inside as say charging your phone. as long as you set the charger up correctly, which is easy, you will be ok. you have to keep an eye on it tho don't just put it on and walk off. you should do that with nimh as well to be honest.
the reason i said keep/charge in a bag and box is in the rare event it does let go it will keep smoke damage to a minimum plus as you will by it you should see the first sign of failure and chuck it out the window or door.
as i said don't dismiss lipo's just because you read some stories and watched a lipo burn as it was over charged!
believe me and ask anyone on here lipo is far superior over nimh. better performance, faster charging all of which far out do the small risks involved.
