  1. No the esc is too weak it only does 140A burst current which is about 600A short of what you should be running hell that esc has less power than what some 1/10 touring cars run For the money the Orion r8 I linked earlier for
  2. A replacement esc is dependent on what you want to run 4s or 6s and what your willing to pay for I'm running this at moment http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__22632__Turnigy_TrackStar_120A_Brushless_Short_Course_Truck_ESC.html Enough to make it drift but for 4s I'd have to say this bargain http://shopping.rcmodel.hk/esc-and-servos-electronic-speed-controllers-team-orion-vortex-r8-brushless-esc-130a-4s-p-19132.html 6s either hobbywing or take your pick me personally I'd have this http://shopping.rcmodel.hk/esc-and-servos-electronic-speed-controllers-team-orion-vortex-r8-pro-brushless-esc-180a-6s-p-19133.html And as far as the motor goes it's just see how long it lasts
  3. the esc is a rebadged unprogrammable esc like the old ansmann ones don't expect much from a rtr esc
  4. Capri-boy there's many places where you can get parts cheap enough I get a lot from here http://www.hobbies4life.com/team-c-13t-43t-option-gearing-for-gt8-tu0883.html#/product/38758 And here http://shopping.rcmodel.hk/index.php?cPath=2_92&sort=&filter_id=161
  5. With the right motor 21t is possible plus team c do an upgraded diff gears part number tu0883 might be worth buying once the diff outdrives wear out and they will wear quickly with brushless power
  6. If your looking for good tyres yoodoo try here http://www.sweepracingusa.com/18-GT8_c_25.html Not cheap but are the best I know of
  7. 100mph isn't that hard to achieve with the right setup I say this because most tc in the modified class can hit about 80mph on a long enough straight hell I've seen simple tamiyas hit high speeds with just hobbywing esc's running just 3s
  8. Not read the whole thread yet but this isn't the team c gt8le or gr8le it's an electric version of the short wheelbase gt8 the gt8 and this have 330mm wheelbase where the gt/gr 8le are 365mm wheelbase the same as the Kyosho inferno gt so if you want the more realistic on-road car it's just a case of the longer chassis and longer centre driveshafts or cvds Oh and these are the ones with cheaper parts if you want I'll video mine to show you guys where they've cut corners
  9. The fuel isn't coming through because of the exhaust back pressure pipe just change the exhaust and no a .21 engine won't fit not without a lot of alterations that will probably cost you more than a rtr 1/8 buggy
  10. Another to consider is the entry level Sanwa http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=72927
  11. For your answer I'd try looking on rc tech for each cars thread http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric-off-road/825575-official-xray-xb8e-thread.html http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric-off-road/845245-official-mugen-mbx7r-eco-thread.html Think the mp9 is just part of the inferno thread but there's plenty for sale
  12. Try the absima one that's just a rebadged flysky http://shop.absima.com/Radios-Servos-Accessories/Radios-and-Receiver/3-Channel-Radio-CR3P-2-4GHz-incl-Receiver.htm?shop=absima_en&SessionId=&a=article&ProdNr=2000002&t=24&c=3771&p=3771 That way you can still use the flysky receivers
  13. No not FTX try ansmann http://www.conrad-electronic.co.uk/ce/en/product/237916/Ansmann-Racing-0110-electric-buggy-model-car-Blizzard-4WD-RtR-24-GHz Also team c minion the race version was called the t4 which is good news for parts and upgrades
  14. If all you want is the springs then these are direct fit http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=331595078908&globalID=EBAY-GB Also Hong nor big bore springs fit there is just enough movement with the original shock shafts to keep them as they are And yes it's basically a GR8LE but it has a lot shorter wheelbase On the bsr
  15. Anyone want to take a guess at what rebranded car that is and at
  16. For bmx track as Capri boy as said it not much to turn it into a buggy start with chassis I found this one cheap http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=161731353658&globalID=EBAY-GB The shock towers http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=310393660608&globalID=EBAY-GB these fit but are as weak as the ones you already have then add any 1/8 buggy shocks or try these http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=161724012583&globalID=EBAY-GB once you look at what parts your car shares with the other team c cars you'll see how easy it is to convert them from buggy-truggy-gt car-rally car with just a few parts changed even ofna do their versions of the cars http://www.ofna.com/gtv2e-rtr.php
  17. Oh and for Capriboy and matt888 I hope you realise that rally car isn't suitable for off road for off-road it will need the buggy shocks and shock towers
  18. Yep the driveshafts and diff output drives will be chineseum but at least you now know the team c gt8 hardened ones will fit it's just weird how team c never released a short wheelbase electric onroad car the gt8 is only nitro oh if you want to convert it to nitro let me know I've got a spare gt8 chassis it's a bit better than the one yours comes with well it cost as much as that whole car
  19. That rally car is a rebranded team c gt8 and well worth
  20. The problem with the exhaust is the pressure line that goes to the top of the fuel tank its method of just poking through a hole in the exhaust is prone to allowing air to leak and giving a bad tune once I changed mine it was a lot easier to start and tune http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=321747334416&globalID=EBAY-GB Not the one I got but should do the trick
  21. Ditch the roto for starters and best tip is change the exhaust their the biggest problem for tuning
  22. Yes and no there's several variants of the gt3b/c receivers most can take 7.4v Lipo the ones released lately have had signal issues if you search the forum there are threads covering this problem to find if yours is Lipo safe just google the receiver model number which is on the top of it
  23. Wrong flywheel and clutchbell agama don't do savage parts for the savage you need the hpi ones like this http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/371275481306?_trksid=p2056016.m2516.l5255&_mwBanner=1
  24. Nail varnish remover is only 5-10% acetone and will hardly touch the amount of glue your trying to shift you want this http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=261962185450&globalID=EBAY-GB That explains why you couldn't get it off with acetone Nail varnish remover = girly stuff for nails Acetone = man stuff for fires and explosions and removing glue
