  1. What's peoples thoughts on these? http://www.modelsport.co.uk/carisma-gt14b-sport-rtr-4wd-1-16th-scale-off-road-buggy/rc-car-products/387496 Seem like a good deal to me. Was thinking about an FTX Colt but these seem better to me.
  2. Hi all. Are there different types of gyro for the mini z's MR03, MA020 etc? I tried the gyro out of my MA020 in my MR03 and it doesn't work right.
  3. I did have a brushless setup like the one one ebay in mine. To be honest I found it to be overkill. Especially if using it as a drifter. I had my tx turned down to about 30%.
  4. That's a brilliant idea.
  5. Didn't know they did a brushless ma020. That's tempting!
  6. Just thinking out loud, maybe a Tam Tech GT01 may be better? More tuneable?
  7. Thanks for the info guys. I'm wondering if the steering linkage system on the M06 may limit the amount of lock possible. The one thing that I see with rwd drifting is the huge amount of lock used. I'm wondering if I'd be able to get enough lock to make it do-able. Is there any other part of the setup specific to rwd drifting that i'd need to be able to tune? Castor angle for instance?
  8. I'll have to show you my 2 arx's. Super Moto and MX.
  9. By the looks of it the M06 has got adjustable top links. May be wrong tho. Glad you love the bike mate. Told you they where ace! Be warned tho, RC biking is addictive. I now own 11!!!!!
  10. LOL. How about more steering lock? I've already got a gyro aswell.
  11. Can anyone point me I the direction of what mods are needed to achieve this?- I know that RWD drifting at best is difficult but I'm quite intrigued.
  12. Seen these guys? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=331392126022 http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=321595575105
  13. Bit more info. http://www.hpiracing.com/en/part/113240 Looks like it's going to be a clear body. Good news but I hope it's a bit thicker than the clear Fiesta shell.
  14. Like the idea of the trophy body. Nice idea.
  15. Sorry, yes, 327mm. I was thinking of something else.
  16. My first thought was "ooh, body shell" But, the wheelbase is 310mm
  17. Wraith for me too. Bit underwhelmed by the yeti. Box stock a yeti ain't a crawler. Sensor less brushless. Terrible steering lock. More of a basher really.
  18. I've got to be honest, this looks way better than a Yeti or a Twin hammers. Looks just like a KOH buggy. Nice job.
  19. Syncro

    Mini Z FWD?

Might have to give it a try.
  20. Just thinking out loud really. Anyone ever tried running an AWD Mini z in a front wheel drive setup? ie rear diff/ drive shafts removed. Only asking because I get a lot of enjoyment out of running my tamiya M05 because of the different handling characteristics of a front wheel drive chassis.
  21. Well, 'sounds' easy but not sure I'm confident enough in my soldering skill to be honest. Any idea which fets I'd need or where to get them?
  22. Well, I've gone the easy (but expensive) route and the shop did me a good deal on a replacement ma020 chassis. Price of a replacement board is not a great deal less than a chassis. Hopefully I can find someone who repairs the FETs on the smoked board. Either that or I've got a load of spares!
  23. On closer inspection, we've found that there was an ominous burnt smell around the board.
