  1. well the met office and bbc weather couldnt make their minds up on what was meant to happen it was changing every 30 mins all friday evening, So i took that risk of just me going and drove over 6am saturday morning. Weather was ok all weekend so could have taken the gf and kids. As it was I had a great time there as usual and met some great guys. We even had enough small scales to hold a race needing 2 heats then the final on sunday,I broke the e-revo in heat 1 so ran again in heat 2 with the stock slash 4x4 qualifying for and finished second in the final. Spent a lot of time repairing cars but to be honest that was fun too as there was always others close by doing the same and ready to help any way they could. Big thanks to Niel, Rob and William for organizing the event shout out to deadmeatuk and the rest of the lincs bashers and to the group from wales for all the help and making me feel part of their groups over the weekend. will def be going to the may one next year once the date is finalised,
  2. Ok so weather forecast is for heavy rain Friday night and all day Saturday so its not going to be sensible for me to come. Gutted cos was really looking forward to this. Better to write off the
  3. thanks The Trooper for the rapid response, thats one less thing for me to worry about. See you all there
  4. ok so what is this brca membership deal and is it compulsory for all drivers, There was no mention of this anywhere on the booking forms or threads and i didnt have it at the may one and wasnt told i needed it. The event is like 10 days time and im getting an email now which means having to spend
  5. glad you got it idling so you can work on the proper tuning. Once you do get that picco tuned right it will have a nice pop to the engine note. from the picco 0.26max manual so i would think you could go leaner on that top end to get more power then re adjust the bottom end. remember to note how far you go from where you are now so you can just go back to it if you get in a muddle, kind of use your current settings as your default if they working and are on the rich side.
  6. Wouldnt say hard but how it will be used. I thing we give it a go on single motor at the weekend with same batteries see how it performs and what the runtime stretches to..
  7. yeah as it came it was held on by tie wraps and dangling and i was told it was the lvc version, but it wasnt. I have made a plate for it to mount to which is bolted onto the fear body mount and got a tenner refund to cover cost of lipo protector which i actually had on another old car. GF had it out this evening on a pair of 2s 5000mah 20a lipos and it was plenty fast enough for her and ran about 20 mins. Guess i will just have to take one the motors out and try it like that, the motors were only warm to the touch and the esc was not overly hot. Am in middle of full strip and rebuild of all my cars so not got much time to play with it atm and since she is happy i will leave it be. It has been added to the strip and clean queue though (it arrived dirty and tatty looking - a clean up would not have taken too long and would have given better impression of previous owner) so maybe as it goes back together from that i will miss one the motors off and give it a go. Will try get some pictures of the motors and mount when im working on it. At least by the time I do the summit i will have done the e-revo and the revo so will be second nature to me.
  8. so the GF just got a brushed summit of the bay and it is fitted with two 14v dewalt motors. Is this total over kill, the top speed is good and it has lots of power but where as the motors just get warm the esc gets hot, I kind of expected that cos it supplying 2 motors and i would expect it to be comparitavly bat run times though i have no comparison. Question - would it be plenty poky enough and fast enough on just one of the dewalts and if i did remove one would i need to combing both esc motor outputs to the one motor. gearing atm is 20 pinion has a custom mount for the motors cant see the writing on the spur to see what size it is but i counted it at 65. so would that need smaller than 20 with one motor or is that about right for what others are running with a single dewalt 14v?
  9. dont forget to switch to the uk warehouse before looking,. First change currency (at top) next select united kingdom warehouse (right hand side just above all the catacories) now when you brows the prices are in
  10. just completely stripped and rebuilt my e-revo, the nitro one is next, not got any mods on apart from picco engine. E-Revo my main car and i love it.
  11. So Im stripping my e-revo down to the last nut and bolt to give it its first proper service in 4 years of owning it. Found the usual things needing replacing like bearings, rod ends diff gears. Was just starting to reassemble and as i was putting the plastig bits back on the chassis i investigated if i could route the esc wires under some of them for neatness. So im looking at the wire from esc to rx and low and behold i find a nick in the negative lead that is right through and only making contact by luck, this is where the wire passed close to the end of the motor can. The funny thing is i have often been having what i thought were brown outs for the last 2 years particularly after a heavy landing from a jump, guess it was the wire disconnecting then reconnecting at the nick. Luckily i have sufficient length esc side of the nick to just cut the wire and add a new connector. I will be putting a lot of thought into routing the wire to avoid any possibility of this happening again.
  12. thats my tickets bought. cars are getting a full strip down and rebuild for this one. will see you all there
  13. how much for the e-maxx wheels on here rather than ebay? I already have them in my watched list
  14. ok means just that, marginal means it will work just, thermo i would think means you would need extra cooling or things will over heat. If you use the 20t with 2 cells it will run a fair bit slower than the 24t and might result in a hot esc as its under geared. It will accelerate more quickly. If you want to be able to run both 3s and 2s cell without changing the pinion then the 20t is the way to go.
  15. I will be there again for sure, just waiting for money from couple remote people coming along then will get booked. we will have revo nitro e-revo brushless slash 4x4 rustler brushless jato nitro t-maxx nitro bullet flux MT2 nitro bandit brushless - (still going after running the wrong way round the oval with the 1/5th scales and getting run over several times). and a few others I dont know about yet. for those that have been before we will see you there. For those who haven't been before, I highly recommend this event, don't be fooled by the super cheap price for the weekend, there is a lot of work and effort put into making it worth way more than they charge. 16. are these taped to reduce ballooning?
  17. For any of you looking for a great weekend bash then come along here in August, the may one was great, I was at the first MSUK jam and i would say that this location is better suited if you run offroad. (and as the clay was clarty at the MSUK one on road too on the short grass) .There was more space on camping field, the on site catering was always there instead of a van on site for an hr at lunchtime and the tracks had been mowed with a lawnmower and the loose grass removed as much as possible, so even the 1/10 th scales had no problems running right from the start. I know its not an official MSUK jam but considering there is no official one this year it would be great to see some more of you at the bashfest. why continue struggling to find an unofficial jam location at this short notice when there is a ready made venue available.
  18. was a great weekend, some good pictures there. Glad you got one of my revo running with the big boots on

I only raised the PM limit after Supporters finished so those who were Supporters could continue as they were. Now it is back as Gold Members, it's gone back to how it was. I apologize for any inconvenience.

  20. you got pictures of the pull start and one way bearing, how old is it? can you just check the distance between the bolt holes for me?
  21. just an awesome weekend, Great venue and even better crowd. Was great to put some faces to names and to meet the all those from the other forum. Especially big thanks to DeadMeatUK for keeping the batteries charged all weekend and lending us the pull star to keep the t-max running and all the help with the other cars too. Great job by the organizers still managing to provide the food and social area despite the loss of the marquee to strong winds friday lunch time before the meet started, well improvised and good job on mowing the courses with a push along mower. trooper i think it was . didnt think it would be possible to make it to the august one because its soon after main holiday, but GF was yeah im coming this time too. Now i just have to figure how to get everyone and all the cars there. I need to fins someone from yarmouth area who is going to the august one who has masses or spare space to fit the rc gear in in. lol. Any takers?
  22. the bit that has broken off is missing and its the lower steering pivot point. am bringing the car along cos there may be someone else there with a slash 4x4 who has upgraded to ali and had the plastic ones in the bottom of their pit bag. am trying other modelshops on route but they will be adding to the journey distance a bit. lol i have the e-revo and revo to run so its not the only car i had, just new to me and would be nice to give it a good run out.
