  1. Popped this up on ebay yesterday as it's been sitting about my garage for a few weeks untouched, swapped in a more common gx12 engine as the os10 was shot, comes with the old receiver and old engine just in case you want to swap it back in http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322454203656?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Hobbyking charger, been sitting for a few months unused. doesn't come with a balance board but has a deans connector fitted, comes with the 12v transformer too £15 + £3 postage
  2. Bumping this as i have the new one on eBay, the other is still for sale http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322109375663?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649
  3. Decided to move these cars on as i'm all too tempted to run them! These are a bit of a rarity as they're a 1/10 nitro set up like a pan car chassis, center pivoting rear cage with a RWD solid axle at the back, having driven one a few years ago i can say it's definitely a different experience! as simple as a nitro on road can get First off me have the e46 m3 shelled one, this has never been run in anger as far as i can tell, bottom is unscratched and the engine alloy is still nice and bright meaning it's never even gotten warm, all the hardware is untouched, i did test to see if the engine ran with just a splash of fuel and it does. the shell is in perfect condition and it comes with the stock servos and receiver, and is only slightly dusty from storage The second is the viper. has been run only a couple of times and very gently at that, i had the opportunity to drive this back in 2010 when it was new and it hasn't been run since! but i gave it a good once over and clean and really stands up, almost better looking than the new one, there's a few differences to stock, it's got a slightly larger clutchbell on it, and the shell has a slightly cracked spoiler from storage. comes with all the stock receiver and servos This is the unused one. (note factory fuel lines) And here's the lightly run Viper Few manuals and paperwork come with both so great for a someone starting out I'm looking at £65 for the viper and £ON EBAY for the M3 £10 postage for either
  4. Decided to rob the engine from the alpha i have and put the gxr in that. the little gx12 is perfectly suited the power needs of the rs200 too so it made sense so with minimal fettling i've got it all working!
  5. one broken body mount, tattered shell and a very poorly OS 10 engine. but by a stroke of luck i have a kyosho gxr 15 engine ready to drop in. Low compression and poorly crank bushing have spelled the end for this little mill
  6. Recently acquired this as a cleanup project of sorts and gave it a good once over, seems to all be in great order, comes with three shells, a spare chassis with some suspension and diffs, and some new bits and bobs. i'll let the pictures do the talking Starts nice and easy with the roto-start, and i'm also including a brand new air filter and a new set of foam tires as i'm such a nice bloke and all that. The only thing it wont come with is a receiver or transmitter Looking for around £130 but i'm open to offers, Postage will be around £10 on top
  7. So as a bit of a gravedigger bump i finally have something to update this thread with, been out the hobby again for another year as bigger cars got in the way. but i've just bought another old kyosho on ebay. An Old rs200 model with the os10 motor i'll get some pictures up in a bit!
  8. I know you've mentioned that you've checked the clutch but it's with re checking. notorious clutches on these firestorms and causes all kinds of issues.
  9. Interested in this mate, what's the measurement between the screw holes on the face? checking to see if it'll fit in my micro rs4
  10. Selling off the last of my rc's now and this is a personal favourite, my first savage that's been modified for racing, has a mean stance that makes it a killer handling machine, and the hong nor truggy parts make this a super tough conversion, it's got cvd's, towers, wing stay and wing, shocks and a few other bits and bobs, will need some tlc to bring it back to life, has both servos but no mount for the throttle (holes drilled in chassis to accommodate) cnc chassis braces, a mid tank mod to reduce the half tank lean and a side mounted battery box to aid weight distribution. handles and jumps like you wouldn't believe. comes with the hump pack and an sts exhaust. will require a few bits to get going >engine from .21-.28 >throttle and brake linkages >radio gear >throttle servo mount Rest of the truck is accounted for and in good order. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321811928065?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Would consider buy it now offers on here too.
  11. As much as people like to hate on integy parts i bough this clutch http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/INTEGY-PURPLE-HPI-SAVAGE-XL-X4-6-HD-3PCS-ALLOY-CLUTCH-CONVERSION-/251913496062?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3aa736e5fe for my savage about 5 years ago and it's been installed on about 6 different cars and performed flawlessly on all, getting near the end of it's life now but i'm still giving it hell.

That buggy looks like it's been through gravel hell and back!
  13. Kyosho V-one RRR WC edition http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321796250600?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Kyosho raider vinatge 2wd buggy http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321796280241?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Both in excellent nick, if you'd like to offer me a buy it now then feel free.
  14. It was a stock savage item I think, any 3 shoe clutch should 'fit' but most will have stiffer springs and harder materials so the truck won't be as responsive. Maybe go for the rubber shoe savage 21/25 clutch and see how it drives, then buy some softer springs if it turns out to be a bit sluggish on takeoff.
  15. +1 on this thing being built like a tank, basically the chassis is super tough and can withstand any kind of normal bashing, upgrade wise, yeah a clutch change to a 3 shoe with soft springs will make it more lively, tbone bumper as added protection, and tire wise anyhting hpi/proline do is a good choice but avoid hpi's street tires as they're a bit naff.
  16. Think maybe sticking the linkage one notch out on the servo horn should help. Will add extra throw.
  17. They've re tooled some of their old kits and rumour has it they're going to be doing a line of the most popular ones just like tamiya has done. if that's the case i'm on the lookout for a nitro usa-1.
  18. Ahh crikey, must've forgotten to update this thread. Ok so the little bodge with the driveshaft worked for a while.. and then my parts turned up. I sourced a couple of steel driveshafts from HSP (not that keen but they were the right size) Which luckily popped right in with the right amount of lash. While i was there i might as well rebuild the gearbox and see if i can swap in a faster but less torquey motor, So in went a lightly used mabuchi motor from one of my boxes of bits. here's the photos of the gearbox rebuild and clean, what i found was a nice surprise, very lightly used gears and good clean grease, meaning it's probably had much less running than i first expected. On the operating table. Gearbox ready to come out Then cleaned, maintained and refitted. seems alien to me not to scrub the rest of the car clean but it was getting late and i needed to be up for work in the morning. Gave it about an hours running and it's much quieter with some of the added shims. Next job is to pull it apart again and clean the chassis/suspension and then upgrade the steering as it's really shockingly poor for a 2wd...
  19. Well, i've ordered some replacement steel shafts, but in the mean time i wanted to try and make something that would do. so i cut some longer spares down and epoxyd them into some copper brake pipe. here's the broken piece. Cut a spare dogbone down And epoxied it into the pipe. I'll let it cure and take it for a spin!
  20. ahh, i didn't know we had one Took a couple of years out of the hobby so i must've missed it.
  21. I've had a few over the years, nothing quite like a floppy chassis and pogo stick suspension.
  22. Looks as if water has gotten inside the crankcase and rusted it, only way that could happen is if you've driven through a puddle or were driving in the rain and saturated the air filter. ARO wont help in that situation as it'll just sit on top of the water when it's put in. And i know what you mean about quality control on other parts, my Ts4n was the same with stripped pullstart screws. but it's all part and parcel with this hobby. I'd have to say if you wanted something reliable to play with get a deck of cards
  23. Ahh well, it's all part of the hobby i suppose. found some suitable replacements on ebay, they're 70mm hsp metal ones for
