  1. Herbie's a bit to cheesy for me. White one with highlights, what highlights would you go for? I was thinking black with another colour tbh, but what other colour I dunno. Colicab, look forward to seeing what your shell looks like. Got my tc3 body posts for the shell, but some numpty ordered fronts instead of rears.
  2. Cleaned out and refilled the shocks yesterday, one of them had lost about a third of the oil, even though all the oil that came out of them was clean it's quite nice to know that it's got fresh stuff in them. Also cleaned out all the bearings and reoiled. Got cracking with some of the rebuild yesterday too, got some stuff coming in the post, just some spares, driven products drag link, body posts etc, nothing terribly exciting. And got my mini t baja shell the otherday, still undecided on what colour/colours to go for?
  3. See what you mean about the manual, not much cop if it doesn't tell you part numbers for each part. I searched for part to do with the steering to see if the two screws maybe comes with something else, but even then I couldn't find them. Only thing I can suggest is maybe email HPI or ask on a HPI forum, sure you'll get a answer then.

    Forum Updated!

Very swish, well done. Probably me being blind and on the drink... where's the sun wearing smiley face?
  5. Haha yer best keep her happy. Why you want a merv out of interest?
  6. Good luck in the search, what are you looking for in one? Just watched video, looks fun!!
  7. Cool, when you getting yours? I got the tape from the person that you said.
  8. Mmmm indeed. Some of the cleaned parts. Got some parts in. Stripped/cleaned both diffs and regrease/relubed both, feel so much nicer now. Used the proper team associated gear. Got some batteries, the voltz I got from modelsport and had the deans connector put on, then I got the 1100mah battery from the classifieds and put the connector on myself. Got some bits coming from the toyz, had a look at the tracking and saw it's in Kent (where I live) and thought wow great that's quick, but it's in Kent, Washington doh. Lastly got home and got a missed parcel note, think that might be my baja shell, will pick it up tomorrow.
  9. Cheers mate. I thought it would be okay, just wasn't sure and didn't much fancy it battery popping.
  10. Just got this charger, plugged in my 7.2v 1100mah nimh battery, set it to 1.1amps, it started charging but it said 'charging at 1.1a, 8. something volts, so unplugged it as to me 8 into 7.2 doesn't go. But being a complete electric noob I'm sure this is okay? The manual shows a diagram for nicd and nimh charging modes, and the nicd that's being charged is 8.421v.
  11. Looks good. What servo do you have? Where is the wing and mount from?
  12. Cool, yer I've seen the wide conversion kit on the site, I ordered some ball studs from their ebay shop earlier and they were post a few hours later. Happy with that, how long did your stuff take to come through? The steering bellcrank, anyone know what size bearings I need for that?
  13. Colicab, where did you get the conversion kit from?
  14. Sounds legit to me... I had the same thing a few years back when selling my car. Those emails and the 'I've got 100 million, I'll give you 10 mill if you first give me 10 grand. lol. A friend actually played along with one of those, got documents sent over, talked to them, got to the point where he was asked for bank details, told them to go away interspersed oh course with a few swear words.
  15. What a shame. We saw the Red Arrows the weekend before last flying over our house, they would have been going/coming from the headcorn air show, amazing to see.

    Ramps

Got any vids? I made my own ramps years ago, never used to so probably chucked it on the bonfire lol. But easy enough if you've got some scrap wood, could add some hinges too so it lays flat.
  17. Oh ok. I'm just a AA battery boy haha, they run out put new ones in. I got the same battery as you with the deans, just wasn't sure about the memory of the battery, as normally you have to fully discharge them (dunno if it applies to rc batteries) but a cordless drill for example, you can soon knacker the battery if you don't discharge it, the ones I have anyway as I found out. Won a fusion charger of ebay yesterday for 25 quid, does both nimh and lipo, can set the charge rate has a lcd, retail for about £45, only been used a few times apparently. Thought that was quite a good buy, just stumbled across it, was just about to go out the my lhs, but saw this with about 20 mins until it finished, so saved me going out, which was good as I was feeling a bit rough... to many beers. What savox servo do you have in yours? You'll have to excuse the rambling, I'm at work.... borrrrrreeeeeeddddd.
  18. Cheers, I'm still yet to find out what pinion I have, I've got a 55t spur. Need to see if I can find anyone else with the same combo as me and what gearing they use. Your battery, before using it did you charge it first?
  19. Yer was also thinking of how much do they weigh.
  20. Guess you could get one of them throttle return springs, would think you need quite a powerful servo though, and would also think that it would put extra strain on it and decrease life, dunno. But if the servo dies again it would go to idle. Dog water in the face lmao.
  21. Yer I'm looking forward to getting mine going. Got any pics/vids of yours?
  22. Haha, blame it on the dog/cat/space monkeys. Thanks for links, might put one of them at the bottom of my shopping list.
