  1. Doh I need a starter! Left mine down the road!
  2. This weekend is all good weather permitting
  3. Torque you missed something out, "stupid, dangerous, pointless and yet FUN"
  4. Hahaha how many people are reading this thinking "hmmm I could give that a go"
  5. By gosh! I think we might! I'm actually thinking a flamethrower is possible now too..... Would be quite a good robat wars-esque bash that...
  6. I'm gonna have to sit this one out dudes. I'll be back up the road 'til the end of the month.
  7. Hahahaha probably but it'll be some funny ****!
  8. Maybe a buddy line. When I get on a PC I'll find a pic. On iPhone ATM.
  9. Oh we'll be hitting the ramp full throttle to TRY and clear the river. The amphibious part is for if we fall short......
  10. Same problem on 2 rexs. One was engine screws loose cause clutch not to mesh correctly other was clutch was stuck. The second was fixed with a screwdriver and a hammer. We tend to take a heavy handed approach 'round my way
  11. Well I'm thinking if it's floating with wheels 40% in water And back wheels as paddles and fronts just flat wheels surely turning would make the front wheels into a sort of rudder....
  12. Hahahha that is pretty funny...... Bit like both my front wheels totally coming off and going seperate ways in mid air...... Always tighten, always tighten, always tighten......
  13. So during a bash session and a few ruined buggies we got discussing ideas for stupid **** we could do. Like "What about nitro flamethrowers using the third channel?" Of course most were dismissed but one line of thought got me thinking. My brother cocked his head to the side and said "You think you could jumop the river?" Well with a big enough ramp you can clear anything. But thats not the line of thinking we took. It eventually led down the path of amphibious buggies.... Here's what I thought of. 1) Water-proof the electrics (a given) 2) Put floats within the chassis and ensure it's boyant enough the hold more than the weight of the buggy 3) Snorkel the Exhaust and air filter possibly using an air only filtration system on the air intake. 4) Put sand paddle tyres on the wheels (Maybe just the back ones) to allow a paddle effect in the water. Also straight after discussing this Top Gear was on Dave with a far "running" across the water. Anyone reckon a 4wd buggy with scoops hitting level watter at full throttle would "skip" across or just sink like an effing brick? Either way it'll be a laugh and at least get some hits on youtube Terabyt3
  14. I'll be in Elgin next weekend bud. Believe me I have NO fear of jumping. There's a mountain bike track down here with a wooden lauch ramp for a good 18' drop that I jumped as my brothers thought it couldn't be done. The exact line out of one if their mouths was.... "There's no way you can land tha...... **** he did it" (I did ruin 4 wheels and snap a bolt but hey 'tis all good). What was better was the battery pack -ve lead snapping on my brothers and it full throttle head first running into a tree. No word of a lie every bit of metal was bent. One dog bone was bent at a right angle, Chassis twisted so bad only three wheels sat on the ground, Exhaust was further forward than the front wheels and it ran leaner and leaner and louder and louder. By the time we ran over to it it was spitting out flames and metal. Then there was the inevitable POP! Everything was destroyed inside. Con-rod was smashed to bits piston bits missing liner ruined and much more. 3 hours later and using bits from spare engines and going with the tactic of "Use the biggest hammer first and work down" he had it up and running again. It does have a sort of limp however.... Our next plans are to make the ruined buggies amphibious..... Watch this space....
