Yeah I can understand it would be more effective, I just dont really want to take the tyres off, reglue etc etc. at the moment.

Going to be painting some white wheels shortly - was going to use enamel spray paint from homebase. Should I use primer first or just batter in with the colour?

Stripped the flaking chrome finish off the lightning wheels. Probably just going to be black, boring but Im crap at painting !

Im glad I have a few years nitro experience behind me with this one. Really enjoying it , will take it out for a wee run tonight probably. If anybody comes with me I'll get them to video it

If its cheap, does the job, who cares?

Clutches are ok, it's not slow , where its most impressive is off the line , shoots away with wheelspin in a way I've never had a single nitro do. It's not crazy fast though. I might up the gearing at some point , just to see a silly top speed lol I need to adjust the brakes to be less strong, since fitting the hump pack it actually stops with the back wheels in the air lol.

I think they did a single engined gtx but don't know if it was as big as the gtx2.

Today's update - 2.4g radio fitted , one engine that had an air leak sealed and carbs cleaned. Hump pack fitted. Got it tuned and running well, got both engines sweet together it's not crazy powerful but the 26s don't drink fuel too quickly either. Good fun, now onto some cleaning and cosmetic improvements.

I was planning on using the flysky failsafe but have previously used a separate one for added safety. I'll just use the fs one. Does anybody know if it would go to failsafe mode on low voltage detection ?

Fitted my flysky 2.4g radio to the HB gtx2 today, got that working no problem. But it came with a wheel spin models fail safe, which doesn't seem to pick up when radio signal is lost. It should have a red light come on when I turn the TX off but nothing happens. Anybody else had this issue ?

The power will be shared via the belt, although there will be more frictional losses with this setup than having one .36 engine. But its different and interesting and thats why we like it , right ? Maybe you should put 2 manic 36 twins in a car, just to be REALLY different

I think the Schumacher manic twin engines are joined are they not? A common crank ?

I'm pretty sure the engine speed would stay the same, it's governed by friction, the increase would be in torque rather than rpm.

Halfords is such a rip off ! I just bought a tube of silicon sealant - £5 in halfords, I got it for £2.89 delivered on ebay, same stuff. Nearly half the price!
