  1. Tell me about it!!!!! Just about there now though myself!! Looking forward to a fun weekend Just wait till you see the trophies!!!! Nige.
  2. Hiya, 1 Week to go, 6 sleeps before the Freeprawn Racing Supercup. I'd like to thank everyone for there support and word spreading, interest has been very high and we are getting very close to capacity, so if you haven't booked in yet , but want to come best get booked in now!! The Trophies have been made now and look excellent Thank you to Triple A Racing for sorting them out for us. Just to clarify a couple of questions I have been asked :- You do not need to join the BRCA to race at this event, you will be covered by there insurance though. Un-silenced pipes are fine, although if you can make your car quiet by fitting a silencer or standard box exhaust that would help out immensely. We will be providing silicone stingers FOC to people with un-silenced pipes to help keep the noise down. We will be providing handout transponder mounts for Losi drivers (numbers are limited though) so you don't have to drill a hole in your shell to mount it. 2wd & 4wd drivers, you will need to have a 7mm hole in your wing to mount the hand out transponder (there will be driils/reamers available on the day to do this. Cars are only to be run on the track. Please don't drive your cars in the pits. Any other questions please ask away and I'll do my best to get them answered for you. Timings To book in you need to go and see the race director in his office trackside to pay your race fees and get registered. He will also ensure you know what to do and where to go to get started. You only need to book in once so if your coming on the Saturday you won't need to book in again on the Sunday 19th Oct - Gates open 3pm Friday afternoon. 20th Oct - Booking in all day, 0900-1700 2 un-timed practice sessions and one session of timed practice. First practice session starts at 1000 till 1200. You will need to be booked in and attend the drivers briefing at 0945 to run in the first practice session. Second practice session 1300-1500. You will need to be booked in and attend the drivers briefing at 1245 to run in the second practice session. Details of the third timed practice session will be announced on the day. 21st Oct - Booking in opens 0900. You will need to be booked in by 0945 and all drivers need to attend the Drivers briefing at 0945. Racing starts at 1000 and will finish about 1700. If you are arriving Sunday please be sure to get to the track good and early (I'd suggest 0800 at the latest) to allow plenty of time to get set up and get your bearings. Even if you can't make the Saturday practice session it might be easier to travel down Sat night and camp over so your ready to go Sunday morning I know this all sounds a bit regimented!!! But we have alot of drivers attending and we can't waste time and loose track time by not having a plan We would also like to announce that to help you get your car ready and repaired after we will be giving double bonus points in the Freeprawn Racing webshop for two weeks starting from now So that's equivalent to 10% off all items in the shop for the next two weeks (till 29th Oct)!!!!!! Look forward to seeing you there, Nige.
  3. Hiya Guys, Well we have 40 people booked in!!! I'm getting excited now and its still over 3 weeks away!! The trophies have been sorted now, I may be tempted to put a picture up of the 'Freeprawn Racing Supercup' itself, it's a work of art Or should it be a nice surprise and be revelled on the 20th? Nige.
  4. I'll have to get mine rebuilt and I'll show it running at the Supercup Good news you have made a start, hope you have fun with your build Nige.
  5. Spectators are more than welcome. Just turn up on the day there is no fee or need for booking in to spectate. Nige.
  6. Hiya, If you want to enter more than one class just email the booking in guy direct and he will sort it for you. [email protected] There will be no nitro classes at this event it is just petrol power only. You may see on the booking in form that there is refereance to 'All cars must meet minimum BRCA specs' This is for insurance reasons and means no car can not be longer than 1 metre, wider than 0.5 metres or and engines must be less than 30.5cc. Nothing to worry about. All production cars I know of easily meet these requirements. Only other thing worth mentioning is cars can only be run on the track. Cars can't be driven in the pits. There will be plenty of time to run your car on the Saturday around the track and you will get plenty of run time on the Sunday racing. Any other questions please get on touch. Nige.
  7. Booking in for the Freeprawn Racing Supercup is now available :- http://www.nenevalleyraceway.co.uk/?page=2012FPRSC Nige.
  8. I'm not so sure ya know, I bet the racing will be alot tighter than you think Kev!!! I've seen quite a few 'Bashers' driving there cars now and there are many that I think will give the 'racers' a blooming good run for the money!!! The Losi short course class is up for grabs, your up against me and Roverman for crying out load lol We ain't no super star drivers!!!! The 4wd class is another one where I wouldn't be surprised if we see a few noses put out of joint. There are some quick drivers but it's going to be interesting to see who makes the top 10!! The 2wd class, well, who knows!! A lot of you Baja guys know your cars inside out and have put a ton of time and effort into your cars are your trying to tell me you can't drive them around a track!!! Most racers only drive there cars once a month, I know a ton of bashers that use there cars every weekend and during the week too, along with driving other scales of cars they have!!! Like I said, I bet the racing will be alot tighter than you think!!! It's gonna be good fun Nige.
  9. Hiya, The official word is :- There will be alot more noise allowed at this event than on a regular club day or a BRCA event, however. If you have a silencer for your pipe or don't mind running a standard box can for the weekend please us use it, it will help us out alot. The vast majority of pipes though will be fine. Most the pipes I sell I'd expect to be fine. We just don't want to scare the racers, they are very sensitive beasts you know lol Nige.
  10. The centre rear driveshaft is the same length as the front and rear ones that go to the wheels on the Punisher Nige.
  11. Sorry, Nora is the race organisation for the Drakarts. I'd love to race a Drakart superlite, just not too sure about the Square dancing before the racing though!! Nige.
  12. I'm game, if Banners comes!! More or less any day is good for me, Sundays are cool if that's posible Nige.
  13. Hold on gone off the idea!!! From the Nora website!! Attentions all Superlite Drivers We need some feedback for a single day event at Blyton on September 9th. This will be practice/one-off competition for the usual entry fee. It is hoped that we can have a Social evening the night before, with barbeque and square dancing - for those with a pair of jeans and boots! Lol Nige.
  14. Good advice, that's the way I do it too. If you don't want 5 ltrs of fuel mixed up at a time (or you still have some left in it) just get 2.5 ltrs of fuel from the pump and add 100ml of oil Nige.
  15. I thought the F1 wheels and tyres were the same size as the truck wheels??? They just have the flap to make the sidewall on the outside look bigger don't they? Nige.
  16. Hiya, Call me at the shop today, now I have seen the pics I can see whats going on. I think I have the bits to get you going Nige.
  17. That Samba in the raw finish looks mint Time to get it dirty lol Nige.
  18. I think the chickens lips and rocking horse poo will be in stock before the red and orange springs lol Seriously I don't think the rear reds are too far away now (no date from Horizon still though) and to be fair the orange springs did have a June release date on them. Nige.
  19. Hmmm who's technically the #1 Losi driver in the UK National Series at the moment then Dave? You don't just get the top spot in the championship just by turning up ya know. Well, maybe you do to be fair lol Congats to all the new Losi 5ive T owners too. You are all going to have a very fun weekend they are fantastic cars Nige.
  20. Hiya, Either of these will fit the Savox :- http://www.freeprawnracing.co.uk/alloy-servo-horn-for-multiplex-rhino-digi-4-hitec-5755mg-ht19x.html http://www.freeprawnracing.co.uk/hitec-metal-servo-horn-blue-22955723.html Nige.
