  1. thats well smart mate, what a way to launch your plane, just hope it lets go at the far end, that could be a bad crash
  2. sweet i was going to say ill meet up with you sometime and go for a fly, I'm still pretty novice so it should be fun lol, only had the supercub before this and a bit of quad experience but that's why i bought this bixler to get better on
  3. know what you mean mate, where do you fly?
  4. i bought the kit version because i already had a rx, esc, motor and lipos from my quad, so ill possibly have to add the stuff like servos myself, shouldn't be too much of a problem, thinking about putting my old multiwii board into it so i have something for them oh s*** moments that happen to us all, like the video earlier in the thread. Bought 24hour delivery as well so should have byvweekend for a maiden flight.
  5. good idea, i have one from my quadcopter but not sure itll be any good, might not be able to hear it when its in the air. What was the build like for you, i know yours was a bixler 1 but just wanted to ask. Cant be much different can it??
  6. to be fair tho ste we haven't had the best weather have we, winds been so strong. Hopefully now the suns coming out things will pick up and we can go flying. Woohoo
  7. I just hit the buy button on a bixler 2 from the uk warehouse, cant wait to fly it, looks awesome!!
  8. just found my cpu temp maxing out at 98oC, ermm de-dusting was overdue. luckily no meltdown!

I got my email this morning for 24 hour delivery, guessing that means 4 days then lol

  10. i have pheonix, as said above theres only 2 models and they arent bad tbh but its a costly simulator to buy, theres also aerosim that has a few more multicopter models including the ability to fly them as though you was fpv flying
  11. Cant wait for my replacement turnigy 9x so i can get my quadcopter in the air

  12. another vote for the tritton ax720's superb sound, had them about a year and although they look big they are mega comfy
  13. Tamiya, i have some escs, turnigy plush 30a in fact, they are a bit dirty cosmetic wise but work 100%. I would be happy to donate them to you if you like. The only thing is none of them have the servo power leads. They only have the signal wire in place, i had them hard wired, anyway if they are any good to you give me a shout
  14. When setting up my big quad i place velcro tie wraps around the props and frame arms so if they do happen to start spinning, they arnt gunna hurt me. I only take them off before flying now, my quad did once fire up WOT after updating firmware. Better safe than sorry in my books. safe flying all
  15. As you are using them on the i2c bus, you could link them all to the one input and because each sensor address is different they will all be able to run in sync. You shouldn't need multiple inputs for each sensor. I bought a naze32 board which was around 40 quid, has gyro acc baro and mag on board as well as the main flight controller. Pretty much everything but gps and runs 32 bit instead of 8bit stuff. I started like you with a arduono pro mini and wii plus and nunchuck, the money iv spent i wish id just bought the board i have now instead of messing with the arduino stuff. just my 2 cents mate
  16. You'll be much better going with the mpu6050 triple axis gyro and acc in one chip get it here for about 13 euros. Its much better than the nunchuck and wii+ setup. Better sensor, more stable and its very widely accepted in the multiwii world http://www.drotek.fr/shop/en/42-mpu6050-gyro-accelerometer.html Aiden
  17. Nothing wrong with the multiwii matey, its what im running and its pretty awesome. Got my eye on this thread if you need anything give us a shout. I haven't got gps on mine but i will do in the future. I have to get a new tx tho because i sold my dx6i and got a turnigy 9x that didn't work. some pics when you have it all built up. what multiwii board are you going with? Aiden
  18. Don't even need to add a plug, they solder straight onto the main board on hubsan
  19. Hi sean i do have a supercub lp which iv pretty much mastered before selling my dx6i so im not new to flying but new to ailerons. I'm pretty good with the models with ailerons on pheonix sim. The supercub was a high wing 3ch trainer so im wanting to move up the steps.
  20. Looks like parkzone have a new plane out and its got me interested. 4ch and in hoping it'll help me take a step forward from my supercub lp with it having ailerons and it does look nice. Iv got pheonix sim but since selling my dx6i and buying a turnigy 9x (which incidentally has a pot problem affecting throttle channel)iv not been able to fly online or practice at all. So im thinking of buying one of these planes ready for summer along with a dx8 http://www.parkzone....?ProdID=PKZ6180 so what do you think? Aiden
  21. Just got one of these this morning for the winter months when its too cold outside to play with my multiwii quad. Iv already charged it twice this morning. Its a blast, so nimble and plenty of power for such a small quad.

  23. We have a nice place, disused quarry actually that we are bashing on this coming Sunday 9th december, there are various surfaces available to cater for most types of rc. We will be assembling at half 10-11am. There is limited parking available in 2 laybys and on a quiet back road right next to the bash site and easily visable from the site. As for the postcode nearest one is s44 6af and you want mill lane, you will see the site when you are on mill lane. heres a video i took of the site http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dFlCVRfSPdo as you can see from the video plenty of land for all. if you can make it its be nice to see you all there. aiden
