  1. Thunder Tiger Sparrowhawk Drifter AWD with 1:1.5 Gear ratio (Counter Steer Setup) Spekky SR300 Receiver (No Transmitter included) ACE RC Brushless ESC Ripper 3900KV Brushless motor Drift Tyres GTR body is a bit patchy Everything is in good working order, a little dirty, but, otherwise no breakages. GBP 65 + delivery from Netherlands (expected to be around 20 GBP max).
  2. As good as New Axial Wraith Builders Kit (I built it) with te following parts Tower Pro MG 959 Servo - very good condition LRP 19x2 GT-3 Turbo - Brushed Motor - well used, but still working Random ESC (not sure what it is I'm afraid) with Deans adapter (not Lipo ready, I am sure about this) Acer RC 2.4GHz (Thunder Tiger RTR) Receiver and Radio - barely used Upgraded Alu Straight Links (plastic ones in parts bag) Bag of original random parts, wheel weights and stickers Painted in a beautiful metallic Purple. In very good condition - Two minor issues, back tires need to be re-glued (age has dried the glue I think) and the deans plug needs to be re-soldered on to the ESC. Otherwise, condition is very good. Looking for 155 GBP o.n.o Will calculate postage with DHL from Netherlands but, expected to be around 20 GBP. If you want to buy any other of my items then I will package them together as best as possible. Paypal payment as normal Cheers nutnut
  3. Yeah, not my intention either, I will keep sales to the sales area I don't have crawler parts perse, so, won't PM you directly right now.
  4. I have a Wraith kit version which I'll be selling, not a crawler, but, certainly seems to fit in with your manufacturer preference
  5. I'm happy to post to anywhere in EU, just want a good place to sell, this forum is great, I've had fantastic experiences here and want to continue to use it as a place to sell. Will state on any ads that the product is in netherlands.
  6. I have some items to sell (a couple of rollers, a Wraith and some other items) but, the markets here in Netherlands don't seem very good and I cannot find a decent Dutch RC forum like this one. Is it against rules to sell from outside the UK? Thanks nutnut
  7. Hey Nick! Yep, I'm keen to penetrator the scene here, hopefully be able to get some peeps on here, its such an active forum.
  8. Yeah, I guess, I really chose the right topic to revive my hobby in huh? I was looking at the arrma cars earlier actually, it's a brand I wasn't aware of previously (seem fairly new to the scene) so, your suggestion is exactly what I was looking for! The speed and toughness sounds like a dream, do they do kit versions or all rtr? I can only see rtr.
  9. I must admit, I do like the smell and noise of Nitro, but, performance was a consideration, my old lsp was great fun, but, I'm set up for electric I guess. I'll check out those models. Thanks all. Sorry for spamming the thread (on my first day back. Lol)
  10. I might even just sell everything and get myself a new nitro truggy More fun for bashing, I don't have good places for drifting anymore.
  11. To be honest, how much is a brushless conversion kit nowadays anyway? they aren't that expensive right? I could grab cheap brushless kits. my touring cars are setup for drift, so, don't want too much power.
  12. Ah, so 2s batteries could be the way? I have a compatible charger already, so, that's no issue. Otherwise, it's just the ESC I need to replace right?
  13. There's a name I recognize! Good to see you too!
  14. I'm not really a new member (been hanging around here since 2006) and not new to the hobby (been doing RC since my first Tamiya Hornet in the 1980s). I have however, been quite busy since I last came on, so, figured I'd spend some time to re-introduce myself. I last posted about 5 years ago I think I now live in the Netherlands, spend the last decade in Singapore (RC Drifting) and in Malaysia (a bit of crawling, but, not much RC I'm afraid). I still have the kit that it states to the side there <<<--- but, clearly my batteries have not been well looked after, otherwise, all kit is in full functioning order (well, I think it is). Was thinking of getting back into truggy/buggy nitro stuff soon, I have 2 drift cars (Sparrowhawk is 1:1.5 ratioed for drifting and sprint 2 sport is for AWD drifting) as well as an Axial Wraith (kit) that I have barely run in. I guess I have a few questions that I wanted to ask: 1. Anyone in the Netherlands? I am based in Utrecht now and keen to get in touch with the locals to see what the scene is here 2. Anyone got a cheap basher to sell/swap for any of above? More details can be given/exchanged, but, it will require shipping to/from NL 3. What new brands are out that I should look into for bashing? I just want something fun, nothing competitive (my reactions are not what they used to be anymore) and it has to be fairly hardy, so my dogs don't eat it. That's all for now, catch ya all shortly! nutnut
  15. I was concerned, I recently started dusting off my old kit and going to get back into this hobby, so, to hear that it's dying would be quite a concern, but, from the replies, looks like it ain't! Anyone wanna sell me some nimh batteries? It seems my kit may be a little old nowadays, since everyone went to lipo
  16. Thanks all, Sounds like the tip about gluing the batteries is a good one! I'll give it a bash
  17. Thanks all, I think I'll opt for the silicone around the top, it sounds neater than greasing it I have a tube of silicon I was just waterproofing my Wraith ESC with the other week. nutnut
  18. Happy New Year all! Not sure how to go about this, I have never made a battery pack before and I am forced int it now since my son's cheap RC boat has silly battery packs and they are cheap cells with low capacity. So, I have 6 Vapextech 1100 mAh AAAs and the connector I need for the battery pack, but, I need some advise on the shrink I should get and the battery bars I should use as well as the method to solder/build. The battery configuration is 6 AAAs (HR03) in two rows of 3, like a 6 pack of beers. Can anyone suggest battery bars and shrink for this job? OR even another method that will work. Is there anything I need to take into account (battery charge/solder heat etc) when I'm soldering them? Appreciate the assistance up front. nut-nut
  19. Hi Guys, when I was in Hong Kong the other week I bought my kid a fairly decent toy RC boat, with interchangable components and such rather than the complete closed unit ones. All components seem to be standard kit for most small RC, so I am fairly comfortable with all that On flaw that has come to light is the sealing around the top of the boat which you need to open to charge/remove/change the battery. The sealant seems to be thin sponging stuck to the underside of the lid in a gap, this is bunching due to the way the lid needs to be placed an I'd like to fine a good alternative to replace it with. I have attached a photo of the lid below, the width of the trough the seal sits in is about 3mm to give you some perspective. Appreciate assistance nutnut
  20. Looking at a release around Mid April, Tower Hobbies is stating stock from Late April. I am definitely having one of these bad boys!
  21. I have to agree, the TCFD and DRB are awesome cars, try and pic up a good one second hand (well, you may struggle for a TCFD since they are brand new!)
  22. I use Brushless and LiFE batteries, they are great batteries as have enough punch for drift, and easy to maintain! Sharft Drive is good, but no difference between the two IMO, direct pick up from shaft does help when getting better. 2nd hand all the way! don't buy anything based on resale value, buy based on what you want! Changing your Camber is a myth, you just need some good tyres for your surface and a lot of playing!
  23. I have a brushless in my Sprint currently, it's easy to drift, but not necessary except for maintenance. The Carpark we run in is underneath a welding firm and the carpark is full of iron filings so a brushed motor is a no go! High turn brushed is much easiest to drift with (or high turn Brushless I guess too!)
  24. I don't have pics currently of the chassis, he has 4 or 5 RWD cars now, I think this was a Yoko. I'll take some pics when I go to the next meet and post them up Nick To be fair, it's getting a little crazy, everyone seems to be fed up with CS and moving to RWD here, I'm modding my Sprint 2 for RWD right now, I will post some pics when done of that too!
