  1. Well my X-maxx turned up yesterday and after some soldering converting batteries/esc to EC5 connectors went out for a quick run. Running totally stock out of the box with the Zippy 4S's. Gotta say I'm really impressed, more so than I thought I would be. Feels really fast even without the 46t spur! Handles excellent for a big truck and feels very balanced for jumps, feels like she was made for big air.
  2. Count me in too as I'm just over a hour drive as well .;)
  3. Looks a nice spot that. Your not a million miles from me too. 67 miles to be exact!
  4. Blue Bought the (slightly) damaged box one that was listed. Might as well save a £10 plus its the colour I wanted anyway. Should be a nice change from my old MT4-G4 that a bit long in the tooth now. Never had a Traxxas before but hoping the parts are a bit more available that Thundertiger.
  5. Just ordered a X-Maxx + 4x ZIPPY Compact 6200mAh 4s 40c Can't wait, not sure what the Mrs will think though! lol I've always used EC5 connectors so gonna have some soldering to do next week to get it to look like this:
  6. Hi there, I'm thinking of buying myself a X-maxx 8S as a treat to myself. Just need some batteries as all mine currently are Zippy 5S from my old MT4-G4. I see on this thread a lot of talk about these Turnigy Graphene 5000mAh 4S 90C batteries. What makes them so much better than the ZIPPY Compact 6200mAh 4s 40c. I would of thought the Zippy's would last longer due to 6200mAh vs 5000mAh? Cheers
  7. Hi there Stoker, I would like to buy this from you please. I'm based in the UK just so you know. Get in touch! I've got a couple of questions that I would like to ask you.
  8. What are your thoughts on putting a LRP ZR.30 Spec.2 in a XXL?
  9. Guess I have just been unlucky. Hopefully the replacement will last longer. Would you say its worth installing LOSI TiNi gears to stop the teeth from going. Or is it best to have plastic spurs so if the bearing goes at least its only the spur that gets buggered?
  10. Thought as much, cheers for clearing that one up Had some misfortune this weekend, my OWB went on the 2 speed low gear hub and chewed up all my teeth on the spur gear! Is this a common thing to go wrong on the LST? I've got the replacement parts on order but considering I have only put a gallon of fuel through my XXL from new I would of thought it might last longer than this.
  11. Well bought a few upgrade for my XXL . . . Dynamite engine mount RC Raven Yellow Dual Rate Shock Springs Hot Racing Silver Heavy Duty Reservoir FMJ Shocks (I don't like the standard plastic shocks) RC Raven Losi LST Brushed Skid Plate Set Front and Rear Standard replacement plastic bumpers (although I only need a replacement front one) Alu Silver swivel springloaded body posts That should keep me busy. I was wondering what I need to take apart to get the Dynamite engine mount fitted. If anyones got any info I would appreciate it.
  12. Has anyone here done the mod where you remover the primer button on top of the fuel tank? I've noticed a lot of people talking about it on various forums like this: http://www.lstforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&p=200491&sid=3f8c972c73c9c7f63412c1f8f2604d1eI'm curious if they remove the primer button how do you get the fuel in the carb when you start it up from cold? From what I can tell if you hold your finger over the exhaust outlet briefly whilst turning the engine over with the roto start (which I use) this should draw the fuel up. Am I correct in saying this?
  13. Cheers, I have to say I'm loving the XXL Yeah I think I will get the engine brace as lots of people seem to recommend it. Out of interest where exactly does it mount? (obviously near the engine) As for the other parts I will just replace them as I break em, although I am still going to get a alu bumper as the plastic one broke to easy. Another question what are my options for wheels/tyres. I would like to get some chevron style tyres if I can. From what I have read I need wheels that take a 20mm hex?
  14. Nice one. Good price for the alu bumper, just what I was looking for. Although the product list for Losi is pretty small! Something else that I need is a body pin as I broke one (at the moment I only only have 3 pins holding my shell on) I don't suppose you know any other sites that do hop ups as well for the lst's? Correct me if I'm wrong but do most of the lst/lst2 hop ups work with the XXL? I'm thinking yes. I'm surprised that UK ebay does not have as much stuff as the US ebay. Just would be nice to buy all the fancy bits from a UK supplier. Cheers!
  15. Hi there, I recently have been playing around with my Losi XXL which has been really good fun so far. But I would like to know what are the main things I should think about upgrading.
