  1. Just had my first run out of the year on Sunday with the new XB9 and now going through my stuff and I have far too much so will go through as best I can. I will have my Xray 808 and associated spares on soon but for now I have the following stuff. All prices inc postage. Payment by Paypal gift or buyer covers the fees. As always open to SENSIBLE offers on everything. Extra pics can be emailed on request 1. Thunder Tiger Starter Box With 2 x 4300 Vapextech Batteries
  2. Sounds like lean bog on the HSN and a bit rich on the LSN. Richen the HSN by 1/4 turn and take 1/4 turn off (lean) the LSN. Basically tune the HSN with a few high speed passes until its sounding crisp without any cutting out but with a fine trail of smoke at WOT. Try to keep max WOT to a few seconds at a time as its an engine killer. When you have that done adjust the LSN. Bring the RC in beside you and let it idle for about 10 seconds and then plant the throttle. It should pull away without hesitating. Adjust the LSN depending on whether it bogs down straight away (too rich) or goes off quick and then tries to stall (too lean / lean bog)
  3. Best thing to do is look at what is being used on the track and see what is competitive. If others are using it successfully the its a good place to start. Make sure spares are readily available for whatever you pick

  10. Firstly you don't need to shim for 25%. You do need to run short reach plugs though (which the OS no8 are). Blowing so many plugs can be a few things but it sounds like your bottom end is too lean and its being masked by a over rich top end. Richen the bottom end by 2-3hrs and lean the top by the same. See how that goes. Without being there its hard to give tuning advice but its a common problem. Make sure there is plenty of smoke but plenty of poke low down. You will go through plenty of plugs if its a lean mask problem until it is adjusted. If in doubt always err on the rich side.
  11. You need to tune everyday you run. Sometime it might be a slight tweak and other days it might be up to 1/4 turn or more of a difference. Weather (esp air density and temp) has a huge bearing on engine tuning. Anyway you shouldn't tune by temp. Tune by sight and sound. Make sure the engine revs freely but with plenty of smoke
