I turned on my PC yesterday and when i got to the log in screen i clicked my user and went to put password in, but it didnt type. So i loged into another (non-passworded) account and opened notepad, tryed typing and nothing. Took keyboard to another PC and it worked. Tryed an other keyboard on mine and nothing. So i put my keyboard back on and booted up again and tryed geting into bios. I noticed that it said "No keyboard present Press F1 to continue" just before it began loading windows.
Sinse then i've stiped it right down, got rid of all the dust, checked the MB for any signs of damage and put it back together, tryed again and its the same.
Is this a common problem with these MBs? Also, can i use a USB keyboard when formating and re-installing windows? and use it in the bios etc.
If not is there a cheap (as cheap as posible) motherboard still on sale that is a AMD socket 754, has a AGP slot and 2 184 pin DIMM ram sockets for PC3200 (DDR 400 memory)
All help much appriciated.
Thanks
