Really not happy... Damaged billet crank case!
Echlin W replied to Carpmart's topic in General - Petrol
I photographed the bottom end well, There was 8-10 photos taken with a Galaxy S5. I did not misinform you, yes their are superficial scratches as I told you clearly. These insignificant scratches do not prevent the engine from running or sealing perfectly. I stand by the bottom end as it has run and sealed perfectly through rebuilds with these superficial scratches. This bottom end is absolutely fit for use. You do not deserve a refund here. We'll have to let Paypal decide, but that is my position. Echlin -

Please re-read this. That is a serious insult Harvey, I answered honestly. To say i've no defensible position here is the same as saying you have no defensible position here. I stand by the bottom end as it has ran and sealed well through rebuilds. Thanks -
Really not happy... Damaged billet crank case!

Hello there people , Im the seller. I must speak up here as it's been very one sided here. I feel i'm not in the wrong here, as the engine seals and works perfectly. ----------------------------- Harvey, The scratches are superficial. The engine has been serviced throughout its life, and has had no problem with mating surfaces between each service. (No air leaks). I did not mislead you, I told you about the insignificant marks. If you would like to make these less visible use some very fine polishing/sand paper. But ultimately this isn't required. Just advice. The remedial machine work you mentioned is obviously not necessary. The engine is as shown in photos and as described. Also rebuilt with Nachi 6001 C3 bearings and NTK seals. The bottom end is ready for use, there is not a valid reason for a refund here. Echlin -

Heya carp! About 80-90 tanks, it used to have a head ported by Yamadude. Mating surface has superficial little scratches from taking off an old gasket, it seals perfectly of course. Nachi 6001 C3 bearings and NTK seals were used when I rebuilt it. The reed petals haven't been changed. They're good, no cracks and close fully. I came to that price because the only place I can find selling them is bajaland.de for €349.99 (295 pounds) and that's without any crank. Bearing in mind that they aren't even in stock, and how hard it is to get TS cases. If you use this bottom end and the ESP head from DDM you a top of the range TS long block for £345 (Before negotiating with me on price) Its £165 or nearest offer so feel free to barter a little

Selling my Trevor Simpson Reedcase 4-Bolt bottom end. Has a very tidy mesh mod as standard. Rebuilt 10-15 tanks ago, ready for a ported head of your choosing. Nachi 6001 C3 bearings and NTK seals were used when I rebuilt it. For example this one: EarthSurfer 30.5 TS 4-Bolt. A beast. Engine will drop right in to your baja. I'm saddened to sell it but getting out of r'cs for a while. £165ono NOW £140ono NOW£130ono

Irish Baja Bashers - St Paddys Weekend Meet, Pictures and Videos
Echlin W replied to HUNTER.P's topic in RC Pics & Videos
They always seem to catch the **** **** ups on video. Landing at that speed is very hard to get just the right amount of bias to the front shocks and then the rears. Ah well all part of the fun. -
As far as i can see without video its fine. A video would be the only way of a proper diagnosis. If its still the same after you look at clutch. And you feel its still a problem. Post one up.

Does the baja roll pretty freely. When you push it? Normal turning of the gears as its rolling? What clutch spring are you running. With an 8000 rpm spring, you can rev the car a bit with of it moving.
