  1. thanks everyone. i am a racer so i will race it at my local track. i will get a video up when i try it out i need to get some testing through it get the setup dialled. the hobby wing ESC combo i am using is one amazing piece of kit. the combo + LCD programming card cost me
  2. hello all, i have finally got round to posting up some pics of my DESC410R build pics. my setup is as follows: Durango DESC410R Hobby wing SCT pro sensored combo spektrum sr3500 savox 1256 intellect 5600mah 60c saddles Schumacher minispikes yellow/Schumacher firm inserts anyway for the pics: the box all the bits and pieces slipperential with option diff gears fitted front and rear diffs chassis with side pods and motor/diff mount front and rear bulkheads, shock towers, bumper etc. arms fitted servo assembly fitted front hubs, driveshafts, turnbuckles fitted rear hubs and turnbuckles shocks built shocks fitted and tires test fitted the fantastic paint job my dad did and finally the electrics installed. i am very picky with my wiring so my receiver leads have been shortened for a perfect wiring layout i have also fitted the optional rear bumper so i can fit some mud flaps for a scale look overall i am very happy with the build and being my first SCT it was a joy to build and a quick test round the garden last night proved just how savage these things are. sooo much more torque then my 10th buggy capable of some real speed. hope you all enjoy lewis

  5. get this piece of CRAP of the internet !!!
  6. hello there, prices would be worked out according to the parts wanting to be plated and their size etc. a quote would be agreed upon. the do offer a good amount of protection. this will prevent rust much better then the standard coating which after time can wear away and allow rust to appear. this can be proven as classic motorbikes have it done and it has lasted for decades! hope this helps lewis
  7. hello there, i am thinking of starting a new venture of nickel plating rc components. i have been plating for nearly a year plating parts for me and my dad's classic motorbikes. we have had great success and the results have been exceptional. after thinking about it i decided to nickel plate all the driveshafts, axles and shock standoffs on my losi 8ight which i am restoring. these parts are about 3 years old and started life the normal black coating. i then cleaned then and replaced the pins (replacing the pins would not be included) half the batch where plated using antique nickel solution the other half plated using bright nickel solution. here is some photos of the antique nickel: they have an interesting look with a dull colour. here is the bright solution: remember these parts are old and very worn so the rust seen is from years of racing in dirt and wet mud. so a newish part would look much better without the rust. i can only plate steel so no alloys. . my main question to people is would anyone be interested? constructive comments are welcome. many thanks lewis *edit* about pricing, anyone interested in some parts plated a picture of the parts would be needed to work out a price. the price will depend on size of parts etc. i understand my initial pricing was steep and price would depend on size of parts, how many parts etc. hope this clears things up
  8. liking the build, i noticed how you said a proper classic bike and i have to disagree. this is my bike, a proper classic. a 1951 BSA bantam that i am currently cleaning up. it is 60 years old november so it certainly a classic. with only 4HP it is no speed demon but it has looks and certainly turns heads. hope you like it hope you like lewis

  11. hi there, I am selling my Durango DNX408 due to school commitments. i have owned this buggy since may when i bought it off a local race buddy. i have fully stripped it down and rebuilt the buggy and re oiled diffs and shocks to my setup. i recently fitted a new centre driveshaft to the centre rear and i recently fitted the exhaust manifold support to the car so the buggy is well maintained. i recently removed the front rubber dust boots because they had tears in them. the car has a number of mods fitted: 2mm mod, splash guard mod, throttle arm mod (longer bolts and nyloc nuts used so it doesn't come loss) and i also have the steering link bearing mod in spares. the buggy needs a new spur but other then that it is in good shape. the bodyshells are in good condition the white shell is in better condition then the red shell which has been used most of the time. original box is included and in good condition it is a shame to see it go great buggy handles like a dream but school commitments restrict me from using it. the car includes a number of spares: - bundle of air filters inner and outer foams - 12 degree castor blocks ( 14 degree blocks fitted) - 1 degree rear hubs - new plastic ends for all turnbuckles and a number of small other plastic parts - 1.3mm pistons (1.4mm pistons fitted) - 3 receiver packs - used pair of side guards - selection of shock springs - complete clutch set up 14 tooth and 13 tooth clutch bell with brand new springs fitted. - tank seals - manual, couple of setup sheets and sticker sheet any question or extra photos PM me ebay feedback if anyone is worried - http://feedback.ebay...tab=AllFeedback i am asking for
