ashcroft, have you tried larger revo gears than the 40t? Others seem to think they have got a 44t in with no mods. I am finding it very difficult to get the gear ratio's I would like with this truck. If i ran 3 or 4 cell it wouldn't be a problem but I don't want or need the daft speeds I prefer longer running times. If you know of a way to get a slash to gear for 35-40mph with truggy size wheels please let me know. i run a tenshock 4pole 5200kv motor with a 5mm shaft. The wheels are proline dish's with bowties. many thanks Luke

If you split i would be interested in a few bits and pieces from the car itself. What pinion and spur do you run in it?

As the title says. I know I can get the spur cheap from a shop but I'd rather get it with the pinion at the same time. If by some magic somebody has a mod 1 5mm bore pinion smaller than an 8t I would be interested in that also but I don't think they are made. Cheers Guys

On other forums I have found that the largest mod1 pinion that can be fitted to the slash 4x4 is the 44t. Any thing larger and the spur begins to make contacts with the cover and chassis. I can't verify this without potentially wasting my money on a gear I may not be able to use so it looks like I'm stuck with a 44t for the moment. Hello Folks, I have a slash 4x4 and I am looking to fit it with mod1 gears. I have found videos online of people using the traxxas jato spur gears as a direct fit though i can't find any part numbers. It seems there were 2 versions to the jato. One with a small whole and another with a larger whole. What i am looking for is a 9t and 10t mod 1 pinion with 5mm bore and a 54t and 56t spur gear i can drop right in. I would really appreciate some help on this guys, I just need these bits and my wheel adapters to arrive and I'm ready to rock. Many thanks in advance

hello folks, i thought it might be a good idea to get a list of the transmission ratios for the various SCT's out there. I run a 4x4 slash i have just purchased and I don't know where to begin with gearing it for my setup and the TR would be a big help. If this took off it could maybe be a sticky and save people asking "what pinion or spur".
